BLACK HANDS? New Mexico

  • #21
Nice job. I don't believe it is real however. I can't find any hard evidence of the crimes, or other information on at least one of the detectives (haven't had time to reserach the others). I wish I had the money to produce the movie....it is one of the best serial killer movies I have seen in a long time. I have only researched the "victims" in Part 1 and Part 2, and they don't exist. There is a Debra Gonazles (Part 2) currently working at UNM, but the picture looks different, and she has her right hand. <grin> Also, they are not listed at this link for unsolved crimes in New Mexico: http://tinyurl.com/yk2zn4

Interestingly, in the book A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, there is mention of the Black Hand Society, which was believed to be comprised of Sicilians who abducted and held for ransom young children.
