BLUE VAN:Investigation**REVISITED**

Thank you.Who all lived in and around crescent city?

We are sill trying to figure out where Chelsea and Timmy live. We don't have a definitive answer on this but research shows one of three possible addresses being in Crescent City.

Thank you.Who all lived in and around crescent city? Her cousin lived in crescent city?for a month?who did he stay with?who did he know that could have possibly hurt haleigh? What do you know about him?Is this why they checked the high way to crescent city?

If you read the article posted on the very first page of this thread, the first post on this thread as well, it will answer alot of your questions. Bottom line, a family member was staying with Chelsea on the night that Haleigh dissapeared. On that same night, Chelsea's van was moved from it's original parking spot to another location. She noticed this when she got a call from Misty saying Haleigh was missing because she went out to the van to drive to Misty and Ron's house. The van was also reportedly scratched and damaged.

From article from todays CBS article:

<snip>Finally, a van confiscated by police as evidence has been returned to Chelsea Croslin, Misty's sister-in-law. Croslin says a broken headlight and an unexplained scratch on the side leads her to believe someone else was driving the van the night Haleigh disappeared. She says it was possibly an out-of-town relative that had been staying with them. "I'm not accusing anybody. It's just me being a mom and believing what I believe. And having pieced everything together, I almost think I know who it is," says Croslin.
<snip>

Finally some physical evidence <phew>!

So it appears that Chelsea does live in Crescent City, IIRC, Misty used to live in Crescent City, so the former home of Misty makes sense now. Crescent City is 12 miles away from Satsuma. The cousin was most likely staying with Chelsea in Crescent City.

Chelsea and Timmy get a call that Haleigh is missing. They notice the van was moved sometime during the night.

The next night Lindsey calls Chelsea and says please tell me you scratched my van and Chelsea says no.

Are they all staging and fitting information to point to JO? Or did JO really take the van? Now I am thinking about all the claims that the cousin was at Misty's that night. But Ron is the only one denying it? Why?

Just a guess, but apparently there was a fight between JO and Ron about a gun. From what I read, JO threatened Ron.

The information I found reveals that Chelsea lives in Daytona (not saying this is completely accurate, but it's what I found). If this is the case, Daytona is roughly 55 miles from Satsuma (108 minute commute). Providing all of this information is correct, someone would have driven 55 miles each way to take the van from Daytona, kidnap Haleigh, and return the van to Daytona in a different parking spot. That's over two hours of travelling, unless the abductor put gas in the van themselves, that's alot of gas and mileage used that wouldn't be accounted for. In my car which gets good gas mileage, I would be miunus 1/2 tank if I drove around for 2 hours.

On the other hand, I did research on Palatka and it is only 12 miles from Satsuma.

Crescent City is roughly 13 miles from Satsuma.

It would be great if we could get a definitive answer on where Chelsea/Timmy live. this could potentially narrow down a credible search area when looking for Haleigh.

The 2 hour window is plausible if, and a HUGE if Misty did go to bed at 10PM.

But I am still thinking about the dog sniffing at the dumpster and the water, after Haleigh's disappearance.

JO could have molested this child, temporarily dumped Haleigh in the dumpster then driven the car back to Chelsea easily and if Misty was stoned she would have not noticed anything or rather "as a Misty coverup" removed blankets to wash to remove blankets of semen stain. Has the blanket in the van been accounted for and if not, this was used for burial.

I'd like to see Tim Miller come back and start searching along the perimeters of that lake again and use sonar.

I had said early on that the gun incident was a huge red flag. This guy better be in custody today, and if not, DNA may or not disprove:confused:

How many obstructions are we going to pick apart. You can't solve a case that is strewn with lies and deciet it will always lead to dead ends. So you must look at the evidence it doesn't lie nor change. It may mislead you momentarily but will never lie.

It might point to him.Where was this van found?Does any one know?I feel maybe misty knows more than she is saying.Maybe she let her cousin in that night or something.I don't know.

My understanding is that the gun incident took place aprox two weeks before Haleigh went missing. Family have made comments that the cousin was at Ron's the night Haleigh went missing. That's the only thing about that night that Ron denies. Everything else he gives the "I don't know, I was at work" answer. So if he was at work, how does he know whether the cousin was there or not?

I agree.This is possible.

Which goes along with LE saying Misty being the key to the timeline. Which if the cousin being there is true, it gives a whole new meaning to JR's statement (if JR made that statement) about the man bouncing on the couch.

The reason I am leaning towards Chelsea living in Crescent City is because Misty had said that JO was visiting and staying in Crescent City. Chelsea said JO was staying with her. LE did that last big search on both sides of 17 from Satsuma south to Crescent City. JMO

Could this be Mistys Van and the sister in law borrowing it for whatever reason and had the keys for the van and trailer on the key chain.
The cousin could have taken the van used the keys then returned the keys. Or Has the brother of Misty been ruled out.
A lot of SO/RSO have children, could he possibly done somethng. Things to toss around....

wenderella, Very good point about the trailer key being on the van key ring.

Did the sister leave her keys in the van that evening or did she have them in her possession when Misty called at 4:00 am??

I would like to know If Misty had a set of van keys also.

I have always had two sets of keys with my vehicles..:yellow:

Did you all see the article from today about the van? Angelwhocares posted it:

"Captain Dick Schauland with the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said the technicians at the FDLE lab did not find any information on the van that is linked to the Haliegh Cummings' case."

I guess Misti's cousin who messed with her was also a kid about the same age when it happened, but what the heck is wrong with these people. They allow a young man who had this type of behavior only a few years back to come stay at their home where there are children. If they believe he snuck off in the van he could have been doing other things for all they know. These things are also enough proof for Crystal to try and get custody of the little boy.

Wow, so basically they dont feel this van was used at all in her disapearance? Now what? But Chelsea made such a big deal out of it to the reporter, even going as far as saying, "if the person who took the van was staying with me, I know who that it" or something to that effect.

Which once again, Mistys family keeps directing things to this cousin of theirs JO, But WHY?

Why do they keep mentioning little tidbits of comments that allude JO may have something to do with it? If JO wasnt involved, then imo, that creates a family divide there as well.

I respectfully have to disagree. For one thing, the van was scratched, I believe the front head light was cracked as well. If someone commits a crime and they damaged the vehicle, and they are in a rush, and do not want to wake anyone up, you would think they would put the van back in a place that was further removed from the home. All of this depends of where exactly the van was parked. I never heard that the van was moved "a little" as stated above. If it was moved significantly from where it was initially parked, I think anyone who owns a vehicle would notice that.
In the interview with Chelsea (linked somewhere above) she states that it was not the way she left it. She didn't say in a different place. Of course with the stellar reporting done so far on the van and other things with this case.... Chelsea could have told reporters the thing was parked in Georgia for all we know LOL.. But if we are going off what is reported it was not parked the way she had left it the night before and it was enough that she noticed it when she got the call at four am and drove that same van to Haleigh's moo of course

I would like to know if the cousin has a history of drug use. Piecing together a couple of rumors and "facts" as stated by Misty I am wondering about this scenario:

Cousin comes to town and stays with the brother who lives around the corner. Misty and Ron hang out with him until the gun incident occurs. At that point Ron says he is not welcome over there anymore.

Misty by rumored accounts may have just come home from a bender. Might explain her blanket being in the van. Misty herself talks about how tired she was after a long weekend and that she was just out.

I think Misty was partying with the cousin, who was not suppose to be there. She may have passed out, leaving the cousin alone with the kids. What if he molested Haleigh and in the process suffocated her keeping her quiet. He then leaves through the door that he props open, uses the van to dump the body, returns the van to the wrong parking spot and hightails it out of there.

Misty would be quite reluctant to volunteer to Ron that she defied his wishes and as a result his daughter is gone. I don't believe that Haleigh is alive and I don't think she was alive when she left the house. I foresee another Caylee outcome where the body is ridiculously close to the house.
