Bond Street House

I don't think he's trying to implicate Darlie by saying that about the sock. It might have been a slip or he might have been quoting Babara Davis who ran the path and back to see how long it took.
Barbara Davis' book did not come out until after the trial. How would Darin know how fast she'd made that run? I don't think she even interviewed him for her book. He said what he did before the trial even started.

Well, Beesy, today your brain is on vacation because the DA asked Darin all about this little trip to Bond St. He denied most of what was reported but I doubt if anyone believed him. I think he was scared of being implicated in the trial and the why he did what he did, said what he did had everything to do with that.
Goody, you little sow!!! I've never professed to know much about this visit. I remember all of this now, but there was no need to be so snippy! Tone down the sarcasm dear or you will raise the wrath of beesy!

Beesy, I KNOW that you and Goody are friends and she won't alert me to this post, but I'd rather not give the posters who don't belong to the other forum the impression that this is the way Websleuthers talk to one another. Get my meaning??????

When they lived on Bond Street the boys were too little to climb in and out of windows. Whatever he wanted had to do with him and/or Darlie.
Ha ha! yes, 2 and 3 year olds can't climb through windows to get popsicles, can they?

This is just a guess but maybe he cut one of the screens when they lived there using the same knife or a knife that could be tied to the Routier home, in one of his misguided "insurance" scams. Maybe he was nervous and afraid that if LE could find evidence on the screen cut at the house on Eagle Drive maybe they could also find evidence that he had cut a screen on Bond St. This makes no sense. Even as I am typing it I am pounding my forehead saying...what?????:banghead:
He knew something about the screens at Bond Street that no one else knew and was probably very relieved to find whatever it was was gone. It didn't have to be screens persay, but that is the only thing about the two houses I can think of that might be linked in some way. Whatever it was, he was afraid it would link him to the murders or the staging. Given his comments about Darlie, it probably was not a trip made to save her hide.

OK, I have a theory - - sometimes when your life is turned upside down you try and go back to a place of "comfort", a place that held good thoughts and feelings; just to try and make sense of the horrid event that turned your life upside down. I wonder if life was better at the Bond St house and Darin simply went there to try and relive or bring back that feeling. jmho

Might be a possible theory if it didn't happen just two weeks before the trial. He went over there to check on something. No one knows what it was or why but him. Maybe it had to do with the screens, maybe not.
