Just had a thought about the absence of MS's fingerprints, specifically on the door handle. By all accounts, he was in the backseat.....TB could have been the one to open the door and let him in.....and then got in the front seat himself. i know it's a 4 door quad cab, but I do this for people all the time.....and TB seemed like the kind of guy who might....MOO....just throwing it out there...

While this is a great theory to explain the possible lack of prints for when MS was seen entering TB's truck, it only explains that one instance. How did MS get out of the truck, was TB the one who opened the door to let him out too? And did he never re-enter or touch the vehicle again? Isn't there video of him getting out of the truck at the hanger, surely he had to have left a finger print then or at some other point?

Swedie- in yesterdays testimony they only zeroed in on one print. The thumb print taken from the rear view mirror. IMHO, there should have been quite a few prints on the truck. MS's on the rear door, TB's on the passenger side and DM's on the drivers, the steering wheel, shifter etc. The fact that LE only have this one print would make me believe that the truck was wiped clean to eliminate all the prints. As I said earlier, the person wiping it just failed to think about the possibility that prints would be on the rearview mirror. That was a big mistake and good break for the Crown. MOO

I think that there were other prints, from DM and CN, but that one was just the one they focused on, perhaps it was the clearest.

Physical evidence- DNA, prints, video's. Reporter SC has just said on the radio the Crown has a very strong case against the accused. IMHO, unless they picked up some crazy gnomes between Ancaster and the Hangar, I can't see where the defence is going with this, aside for putting more of the blame on the other party. IMHO, they showed up as a team, they worked as a team, they finished the job as a team. Unless TD is going to pull a KH type defence? IMO the fact that MS told his gf that the owner of the truck was "gone, gone, gone" makes me think he was relaying this message in a traumatized voice-like he couldn't believe what just happened, but does that really make a difference at this point? MOO

Thanks Jubalee- was that from the Crowns opening? I must have missed it. If it wasn't, just toss a link for me :) Thanks!

Just throwing this out there, probably not relevant or correct, but a theory nonetheless :)

Did a quick search for "Lucas Bates", and discovered an off-road racing engine oil company called LUCAS Oil. Lucas Oil has some kind of TV show (Lucas Oil Racing TV)) with a popular female host named Erin BATES.

http://www.lucasoiloffroad.com/61-loorrs-enlists-erin-bates

Again, probably not relevant, but the off-road bit seemed worth a post til today's events commence.

That sounds more likely to me, but it still bothers me that Bate and Bates are two different names.

Also, just for the sake of accuracy, it's Luke Skywalker, not Lucas Skywalker, someone previously was mixing up the name of the character with the last name of the producer.

I also just thought that if DM's concealment holster was on his left side that he may have been exhibiting a bit of a jerky driving pattern as he tried to get to his gun and get it into position with his hand. May have been driving with one hand by the end of the driveway and that would make for a hard turn. MOO

If he was going to pull out a gun, why pull it out while turning, which usually takes two hands, and why pull it out so close to the house that it is possible that his wife could have heard him scream? It is also before the safely locks generally kick in, so it would have been much easier for TB to jump out then than further on when they would have been travelling faster and the locks would have been engaged.

Hard to say at this point. IF she wasn't home when it was parked in her driveway, and she knew nothing about it, didn't arrive home until after the trailer with Tim's truck inside was seized by LE, what could she possibly testify too? JMO.

Apropos MB: was she seen in the court room?

Juballee- I just went over the transcript of the Crowns opening statement and have not been able to find anything that states that CN's prints were found on the truck. Please link your source for the "CN prints on the truck" comment. Greatly appreciated!

Every time I read "Gone, Gone, Gone" I hear it as a horrible Matthew McConaughey impression.

I think that if they were working as a team they would have acted like one at the Bosma house. I think if DM had planned it and he was in control as MS is going to claim, then DM would have told MS to act like he was there to help his buddy buy a truck. If it was an act, how come the only one with acting experience (video) didn't act the part of the buyer, he acted the part of a creep who might be concealing something, like his hands and his face? If it was DM in control, how come he couldn't control MS enough to get him to act less suspicious?

Possible theory as to why DM was acting calm and cool, and MS was nervous: DM is a sociopath, MS is not.

Im sorry, MsSherlock, I have read so much over the last couple of days from so many different sources, and I don't save any of them, so I have no idea where I read that.

I'm not sure if I was specifying that the prints of CN were in the truck or just talking of prints in general from that quote above.

I had assumed when they had the fingerprint expert on he would have discussed more than just one found print, it will take a long time if he has to be called 10 more times or so, every time they are discussing a different item or person.

Hmm I have to wonder if any of those fragments or the tooth might have been LB's. Could this be how LE were able to tell her parents she was deceased? I'm sure I read an article Monday that said the incinerator had been cleaned out, but there was a section in the bottom where fragments fell into. I dislike when that happens where I read something and then cannot find the article again. :gaah: MOO.

http://news.nationalpost.com/news/c...plead-not-guilty-on-first-day-of-murder-trial
A forensic examiner looked directly inside the incinerator, called “The Eliminator,” and saw what she thought were bones, the jury was told; extracted were 58 bone fragments, two virtually complete bones and one tooth. Expert opinion is expected to show that 17 fragments, one bone and the tooth definitely appear to be human, likely from an adult male, Fraser said.

Also, Bosma’s blood was found on the incinerator.

IMHO, MS knew that they were going to steal a truck- Crown intends on proving that. MS was familiar with being locked up and wasn't quite as comfortable being "out there" like his counterpart was. MS kind of knew the value of keeping your identity blurry when you're committing a crime, especially if you already have a rap sheet- DM on the other hand didn't have a criminal record, had never done jail time and after all, who would ever suspect him after all the evidence was gone? MOO

BBM - Thank you, that was bothering me too ;) Hubby's a big Star Wars fan lol
