By just after 10 p.m. Bosma's phone was off, Jackson says, but he doesn't know how it was turned off.

OR maybe DM is a genuine guy with nothing to hide and MS is duly nervous. JMO

I've read all kinds of adjectives that describe Millard over the last 3 years. I have to say, "genuine guy" is a first.

As Sgt. Jackson speaks, #Millard lawyer Ravin Pillay stands, "your honour, I have an issue." Jury dismissed. Back into legal arguments.

I can't talk about anything happening now as there is no jury in the room.

Pillay is Millard's lawyer.

It was an opinion with a maybe at the outset. I could be right of course. Just my opinion.

Interesting that it only seems to be RP who has a problem with certain evidence being exposed. TD doesn't seem to think it's a problem. ;) I don't think he's objected one time yet has he?

Objections are important. If there is an error at law it can also be brought in if/when an appeal becomes necessary. Pillay may be the better lawyer JMO

#TimBosma phone used a web browser an hour after he went on the test drive. One minute after that the phone was turned off.

A million thoughts on this and I don't even know where to start. I have no reason to believe it was Tim accessing anything but why a browser? Why on Tim's phone? Why not use one of their own phones? What were they looking for, on HIS phone?

I don't know about better. But most of what has been focused on seems to be regarding DM more so there's no need for TD to object. I think we will hear more from TD when it comes to talking about the remains and the incinerator since he's previously been involved with two other cases involving bodies being burned.

THOMAS DUNGEY

Criminal defence lawyer

The Toronto lawyer is representing Mark Smich on a charge of first-degree murder.

Dungey has been defending accused killers for more than 25 years and has previously had two murder cases in which the bodies were burned.

I wonder if DM is actually taking notes as some tweets have said he had been doing over the last couple of days.

I would be interested to know what type of phone it was. I use an iPhone and continuously touch the wrong part of the screen, usually unintentionally, and open an app. Same could be the case with a Blackberry or Android with touch screen. I think the note said the browser was "briefly" open. MOO
