Here's Kingswood's significance. ..He found #Bosma's phone in Brantford. I a grassy ditch by a chain link fence.

A Google Street View of Kemira and the ditch and fence out front.

As I said...if they throw that phone out the window a few seconds earlier, later or on the other side of the road...it is likely never found.

I am not sure if they are dumb or they never took into account how quickly things escalated from media to law enforcement. I am thinking it is a little of A and little of B

Good grief! Like literally ANYWHERE else from the street view.

why did they even throw it out at all?..why not keep it and destroy it with Tim? Do you think they stopped here and maybe this is where Tim was killed? Maybe the phone fell out?

This is the theory I agree with most.

Don't think Tim would have shut down his own phone so whomever tossed it to land in that ditch likely also shut it down. If it fell out of his pocket during a struggle, it should not have been shut down.

And that Tim was so well loved and respected that by morning, the entire city and half the province was looking for him.

It is strange that they didnt take the phone with them. But then again, they dont appear to be the sharpest tools in the shed. That being said, would they be that stupid to commit the murder right there on the open road?

I was pondering this as well. IMO....they were definitely in tune with the fact that cell phones can be tracked. They both turned their personal phones off before they got to Bosma's house AND they turned off the BATE phone after they left on the test drive. So they knew the phone could lead LE to them. The question would then become, why not earlier?

My hunch is they killed Tim shortly after leaving the driveway, picked up the other vehicle and then didn't stop until they got to the Brantford area where they were able to get the phone off of Tim's person and discard it. The area near Kemira would be very dark at that time of night with pretty much no traffic. They may have even stopped in the driveway of the business to adjust their passenger. It would be interesting to see if the phone was up against the fence along the road or closer to the side of the driveway. I'm rambling now... MOO...completely theoretical at this point.

That's a possibility too? They wanted LE to focus the investigation in the Brantford area so it was deliberately tossed to be found? Pretty far from Waterloo where the truck was actually originally taken. I wonder if the phone was wiped before tossing too? I guess since the woman cleaned it off we'll never know.

Considering that they could have just driven five or six miles and forced him out of the truck at gunpoint, it really seems to me that DM wanted to kill someone in addition to acquiring a truck for free. There was absolutely no strategic advantage to killing Tim. They'd already been seen by other witnesses. What threat did Tim pose to them that Sharlene and the neighbor did not also pose? So what if he spent a few more minutes in their company?

I was looking at the oldest threads for this case, and one of my first posts was that I thought it was a thrill kill. I still think that.

Interesting that it only seems to be RP who has a problem with certain evidence being exposed. TD doesn't seem to think it's a problem. ;) I don't think he's objected one time yet has he?

MOO

DM seems to be getting his money's worth so far. MOO.

He was then asked to go to two locations to follow up on two numbers they didn't know where they had come from.

Two other numbers were contacted by the Bate phone: one from Dennis Araujo and another from a Colin Blair or Sheryl Blair.

Araujo had a missed call from that number at 8:22 p.m. but didn't call back. He had a truck for sale on Auto Trader.

Tselepaiks didn't follow up with Blair.
