So Igor described the tattoo as being inside a rectangular frame, but in fact there is none?

Was DM wearing a watch? If so, sometimes a person's brain fills in the blank. IT may have assumed there was a square because he saw a line, and the rest was covered by a watch. Too bad no one asked about a watch, or did I miss that?

There's also a possibility that in order to get pumped up, someone drew a box in pen or marker around "ambition". That may be a bit of a stretch, but who knows what goes on in other people's minds.

I was thinking the same..did he draw a box around it for some reason? I don't get it..why not just hide the tattoo altogether..I think Igor maybe just did not remember correctly?

Peoples memories are far from perfect. The tattoo itself is rectangular. The important part is he remembered the content, and if DMs lawyer thinks he's going to convince anybody that DM wasn't there, he's sadly mistaken.

Sunset was at 8:28 p.m. on May 6, 2013. It was dark. The vehicles were dark.

Just to add some clarity...(finally a use for my University degree!!!) it would have still be quite light even after 9pm. Based on the National Research Council of Canada website, sunset was at 8:27pm, civil twilight was at 8:59pm and nautical twilight was 9:39pm. Now in English...sunset is when the top edge of the sun dips below the horizon. Still very bright outside at this point. Civil twilight is when the sun is below the horizon but less than 6 degrees below the horizon. Still quite bright at this time and only the brightest stars can be seen in the sky. Nautical twilight is when you can only see the outline of the horizon. Based on SB's and the renter's testimony, it was still light enough to see the two people that came for the test drive, but it was getting darker. It wouldn't have been completely dark until around 9:45pm. MOO

Ok...so today's testimony has added in the following:

Two vehicles were witnessed leaving the dirt field on Book Rd, just east of Trinity (pretty much at the intersection of Trinity and Book)
This likely means this is where they stowed the 2nd vehicle while they walked to the Bosma house.
Based on Google Maps it is a 7 minute walk (550metres) from this location to the Bosma house.
After the 2 vehicles pulled out of the dirt field they turned west onto Book Rd, crossed Trinity and headed towards Brantford.

Repeating my earlier thought...I think they had to kill Tim sometime between his house and when they were at this field. I can't see them driving away in two vehicles with one of them in a truck while Tim is still alive and able to fight back? MOO

My only question is, wouldn't the neighbor guy walking his dog hear gunshots??

IMO, DM knew that the tattoo could identify him at some point- he of all people knew it was on record, so why not correct that right from the get go- disguise the tattoo by putting a little box around it. I don't quite get the concern about the tattoo being in a box because it would have been so easy to use a little sharpie and draw it. DM's genius, genuine type of guy mentality was thinking ahead. Yes!!!!! Look- I have one of those tattoos- but it's not in a box, and I was never concealing it, so there's absolutely no way it could have been me! IMHO, he should have watched a bit more of the Forensic Files instead of playing on Steam..MOO

Maybe not, from a gun that small, inside a vehicle, down the road from your house. I'd guess likely no.

Not if TB had already been shot in the car soon after they all left his driveway.

That was my thought. But there has been a lot of talk about the gun used being a relatively low caliber. If it was fired inside the truck, what does that sound like? I honestly have no clue. MOO

I'm thinking there may have been a silencer on the gun or that neighbours were used to hearing gunshots due to the proximity to the hunt/gun club that a poster mentioned earlier.

Am also considering that Tim may have been overcome from the back seat by MS as soon as the truck reached the end of Tim's long driveway, possibly explaining the wonky turn as the truck turned onto Trinity.

The tattoo is in lowercase with no frame.

Igor described one in uppercase in a frame.
