Even if he didn't, the dogs would.

Yes, the dogs would have likely heard it, but how would they have reacted ? We have been told that gunshots in the countryside, with all the farmers, and hunters about, was a common thing.

If the eyewitness was looking west into the sun at the horizon, say down Book Road, his vision would have been impaired. This is a difficult time of day to see clearly. Shadows from trees and hay bales would be longer. The sun seems to set faster as it gets closer to the horizon.

Needless to say, vision would be impaired at 9:23 p.m. or so in early May. The moon was but a sliver that night.

http://www.moonconnection.com/moon-may-2013.phtml

Were there any farm lights in the field?

Sun was below the horizon so he would have been dealing with dingy/gloomy/impaired lighting conditions but not sun in his eyes or shadows. Likely contributed to why he couldn't clearly identify the second vehicle. MOO

How many people here have actually hooked up a trailer? You typically don't need to get down underneath the truck...

with a receiver style hitch its not at all necessary to get under your vehicle to hook up a trailer. I tow a boat regularly in the summer. you will have to crouch or kneel to connect the trailer chains and light assembly once the hitch ball is connected to the trailer coupler.

Given what was done to TB's body, I shudder to think what may have been done to him while he was still alive. And sadly because of how his body was disposed of, no one will likely ever know (unless the two start talking). :(

Anyone know if the skies were clear or cloudy that night? What about the moon?

It was clear from my memory. I had a baseball game that evening about 20 mins away from the Bosma house.

Iaccio can't pinpoint exactly where the phone was. "It could have been 5 metres away from the tower or 2.5 kilometres away from it," he says.

Cell records show the Bate phone was pinging off a tower on Wilson Street in Ancaster the night Bosma disappeared. "The very last entry ... is to the Bosma phone on the 6th of May, 2013," Crown Craig Fraser says.

Not to belabor the point...but this will give you a feel for the field that was being described, where we believe the second vehicle was stowed, in reference to the Bosma house. When you click the link you will see the hay bails in the field in question. This is looking NE up Trinity. Spin around pretty much 180 degrees and you see the Bosma house. The spot that this image is from is approximately halfway between the Bosma house and the corner of Trinity and Book. Sad to think how close to home. MOO

Thanks DWO.
I think I get the spot up at Trinity and Book, SE corner there is a driveway type thing, just past the brown Bell Box, this is where the second vehicle (yukon) and TB's truck were see leaving from... If the Yukon was left there, then these 2 walked 7 minutes along a country road, I just can't picture that.... However i am also not a subscriber to the third driver... So did they really walk that far? Or was the Yukon somewhere closer and for whatever reason they pulled in there to freakout talk abotu what happened to TB make a plan...I dunno...

OR

Maybe the CN DNA Cast out was presented today because there may be evidence found near that location that had her DNA?

When Molly says "LB" phone I keep thinking Laura. Wish she'd just say Bate phone like everyone else, lol.

The tower address can be seen on these records too. The tower most often being used when the Bate phone contacted Palmilli is 265 Markland Drive in Etobicoke.

265 Markland Dr in Etobicoke is very close to 5 Maple Gate and would be the closest cell tower to that address.

Iaccio earlier testified towers like the one in #Ancaster usually have a radio of 2-2.5 km. Says now "most of the time it's changing."

Mark Carcasole ‏@MarkCarcGlobal 2m2 minutes ago
Iaccio concedes to #Millard lawyer he can't tell exactly where phone was in relation to tower. "Could be 5 metres away, could be 2.5 km."

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 2m2 minutes ago
Bate phone powers off at 9:26 pm May 6. Phone's last ping is off Wilson Street tower in Ancaster, Iaccio says under cross by Pillay. #Bosma

Pillay pointing out that tower coverage area isn't a concentric circle. “It could continuously change … minute by minute, second by second?” Pillay says “Yes,” Iaccio says.

I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that the tribute you are seeing IS for TB. It is right across from their front yard, it is constantly being refreshed/added to AND when I drove by a week ago, there was a laminated photo of Tim on the pole with the flowers. The accident was further north closer to the intersection with Book Road. I'm not even going to add an MOO to this because it isn't an opinion...it is fact. It is so great to see people still remembering Tim with this tribute, almost three years later.

I can second this. Whenever I drive by the house there are flowers and usually the gate is closed. I haven't driven by in a while but the last time I did there were flowers.

Iaccio was able to tell police in this case the LB phone was powered off around 9:20pm. Last ping was in Ancaster. #Bosma

The initials LB keep throwing me off. I keep thinking that it is in reference to Laura Babcock.

What is with the Bate phone references in these tweets. It was powered down at 9:05, 9:20 and 9:26 according to these tweets.

Come on reporters...

MOO

ETA: Okay according to Susan Clairmont, the phone was shut off at 9:05pm and powered down at 9:26PM. Which makes sense. SMH at some of these tweets though.
