I've asked this a while ago and haven't been able to find a clear answer yet
Does anyone know how many murders classify someone as a serial killer in Canada?

There isn't a particular number associated with serial murderers. It's a psychological phenomenon, not a legal definition.

Part of the reason in not establishing a certain number of murders, is to avoid any possibility of creating a goal in the mind of a psychopath.

I would like to think if this was a trial for my loved one I'd be there every single day like the Bosma's have been
But financially how is this possible? 4 months ++ unpaid time from work. That's got to be tough.
And they have a child as well to consider also. How emotionally and financially draining.
The little one doesn't understand .. ugh so sad

Support, lots and lots and lots of support.

I too, remember someone from LE saying that. The show has a very disturbing story line.

I recall that it was another of those pesky "unnamed sources" from LE. ;)

In the end, the Crown will have to prove premeditation/intent to kill (before the fact) or intended abduction/forcible confinement to make a first degree murder charge stick.

All along they - Crown and police - have played their cards very close to the chest, so to speak, and good for them. Motive here is the missing piece but they may well have it, just yet to be revealed.

Bringing a loaded, restricted class, unregistered hand-gun to a test-drive is a pretty good sign of intent of purpose, as is the demonstrated use of burner phones not just with TB, but with other prospective sellers.

So far, Prosecution is playing it's hand well. I wish i could say the same for LE performance as reported so far - some disappointments there, to me. In any case, I'm fairly sure that there is plenty more coming, to make a case of intent, 'stick'.

Also on this day, May 7, 2013, Mr. Millard told his roommate that they had stolen a truck on May 6, the day before. This roommate already knew that Mr. Millard and Mr. Smich planned to steal a truck of this kind. The Accused had told him this plan on the weekend.

Premeditation on stealing the truck, but ... if motive was truck only, they could have stolen the truck without killing Tim. All they had to do was overpower him and push him out of the way. Instead, they brought a gun to what should have only been a 2 to 1 fist fight. IMO, there's no doubt they had the intent to kill to get what they wanted.

That was hard. I really feel for Sharlene today. It's sickening what they allegedly did to this man. Despicable humans.

Today is a rough, rough day.

A serial killer is a person who murders three or more people,[1][2] usually due to abnormal psychological gratification, with the murders taking place over more than a month and including a significant break (a "cooling off period") between them.[3][4] Some sources, such as the FBI, disregard the "three or more" criterion and define serial killing as "a series of two or more murders, committed as separate events, usually, but not always, by one offender acting alone".

Sure glad my last name isn't Whidden. NO, it's not allowed to post random names/info until we know through court testimony who Whidden is and how they may be related to this case.

Love y'all, but ... c'mon folks. Don't ask one minute on the board if it's okay, then post info immediately following. Mods can't sit on each and every post to answer questions in real time. If you aren't sure if something is or isn't allowed, PM a Mod to ask ... and wait for an answer.

As Bosma spokesperson once said:

This isn't a game to see who comes up with what might or might not be the right answer before the next guy. Sadly, this is a trial for those accused of the vicious and senseless murder of Tim Bosma. Lady Justice is slow but sure ... there's no point in trying to beat her to the punch.

Thank you kindly, for reminding everyone of this :(

For those of you who saw/remember MS's sister's wedding pics.....which was apparently after May 6, but before May 22.....did he have a black eye in those pics?

*spit*

I could swear there was one pre-arrest picture of Smich with the black eye. Like with his GF or something? Or I'm crazy?

Edit: I think it's just the shadowing in the pic.

I was away for the afternoon (dentist appt :tantrum:) but three things I picked up reading through everything:

Re: visible blood in the interior of the truck. Whoever helped stripped that truck (MS, CN,SS) would have seen it.

Adam's tweet "Feb 11 2016 4:04 PM Now being shown photos of the step under the truck's door. There was a little soil found on the step that also tested positive for blood." Does that mean blood was in the soil? As in, blood has to of been somewhere other than inside the truck, stepped in and then left on the step?

And now I can't remember the third thing.........lol.

ETA: Remembered! If a lot of blood of was found on the dashboard, would that support the theory of MS pulling the trigger from the backseat?

I know I ask more questions than I do answer. :shame:

Today is a rough, rough day.

Most of us have absolutely no idea what Sharlene, Tim's family, their friends, loved ones, etc. are going through right now. In a way, that's a good thing, because it means less wicked, evil people like DM and MS in this world, targeting innocent people. On the flip side, it's a brutal thing because so many of us care, and words seem so empty :(

I just hope you all (Bosma family/friends) know how many people are praying for you and praying for justice. :heartbeat:

My theory is that both were in and out of the truck at some point when they picked up the Yukon, and again when they went to pick up the incinerator at the farm. It's conceivable that both DM and MS' feet/shoes would be in contact with bodily fluids on the floor and other surfaces hit with velocity spatter (sorry..). Climbing in and out, perhaps moving the body, would transfer what's largely contained on the inside floor pan/carpeting, onto the outside ground through transfer with their feet/shoes.. and intermingled dirt/blood residue on the side-step.

Yeah. I keep wondering why they were dumb enough to shoot out the window of the truck that they obviously also wanted. I assume it was just some murder/gangster fantasy being lived out, and it was worth it to DM to blow out the window in the process.

I keep having lots of thoughts also about how dumb the perps were also. I cannot believe DM phoned the auto body guy asking him for a rush job, to paint a black truck to red, knowing TB and his truck's disappearance would be big news across Canada within a day or two. Perhaps what made him change his mind on the 8th was he heard the news for himself. Was DM then worried the auto body mechanic might call LE saying he's suspicious of a guy he's done work for before, calling him to rush a paint job of a black truck? I tend to think DM has a personality and ego to think he's too smart for others. But we're seeing the real DM... I wonder if being in jail has knocked him down a notch or two? MOO.
