After burning an adult human male? I don't think so. He may have gone to some trade shows where the units were in operation for animal carcasses but not a human.

MOO

Would that matter? Id assume cow bones would be just as resilient as human bones.

Cook now pointing out the cleanout tool in a photo, that's used to take ash out of the bottom of the incinerator.

Adam Carter 4:16 PM
It's not customary to have the incinerator on a trailer, Cook says. It has happened once or twice, but not in the agriculture industry.

Adam Carter 4:17 PM
"We've never done one propane," Cook says, about having a mobile unit that uses propane as fuel.

Cook says he's interested in knowing what the purchaser is going to use the model for, to ensure they're getting the best option.

Once again we're not hearing what he was told? Was it considered hearsay? That doesn't seem like an argument the defense team should have won IMO. I guess there wasn't anything in writing in an email to state what SS told them it was for. That's too bad.

I hope the jury is picking up on this. That's twice the crown has indicated that these men were told something but they were obviously not permitted to tell the court. Those are the things I'd zone in on if I were on a jury.

I don't think they had any power on the farm. Look, no meter. Would be pretty miserable sitting there in the dark too.

I agree. Just from a comfort level, even if they had a power source, it was only 4 degrees that night. They certainly couldn't risk hanging around there for 5 hours with TB's stolen truck full of blood and driving away in the early dawn daylight to return to the hangar. The hangar had a shower...I'm sure they would have wanted to clean up not only the truck but themselves. The Yukon probably had enough clothing in there for them to change into, if not the hangar itself if DM was known to stay there from time to time.

So even though we know from the Crown's opening statement they brought the incinerator to the hangar, it may not have just been a power issue.

A Google search for "mobile incineration" reveals that this is a legitimate form of business. I doubt that was actually DM's plan, but he could use that as his defense.

Kind of off topic...this trial is really reminding me of Aaron Hernandez's trial. A young defendant with a lot of money at his disposal, who thinks he is above the law, endless amounts of dumb mistakes by the accused, a defence team that seems to be putting up a very weak fight ...and an absolute mountain of evidence! Hopefully we see the same outcome.

Leitch asks if he had a conversation w Shane Schlatman about operability or unit. Yes. Did you give him advice? Yes. #Bosma

Objection by Pillay. Jury is out again briefly...now being brought back. #Bosma

***Wow, the Crown is trying very hard to let the jury know that they are not allowed to hear any conversation SS had with these people. LOL

...JMO and only MOO, I sooooo think that SS should be sitting beside the co-accused facing charges. I can't wait until he's called to testify

Agreed, I'm really starting to wonder about SS.

Manufacturer, looking at a photo of incinerator found on #Millard farm, says it looks like the machine has been used more than once. #Bosma

Looking at photo of inside of eliminator, Cook says looks like it's been used more than once (based on debris build up). #Bosma

Pillay objects. Jury is out again. #Bosma

***OMG Pillay...way to make things obvious. The jury already saw emails from SS indicating it had been fired up already at least once before. :waitasec:

Or most farmers would be burning over and over again and all the cremains would eventually reduce to ash?

MOO
Farmers aren't trying to destroy evidence or fit remains into little urns so they don't care if there are big pieces. Cremated remains all have dense mineral chunks that have to be hammered to powder so they will fit the urns.

You think Millard was running around telling people he was gonna incinerate his victims? I'm sure he'd concocted some BS story to tell SS. Burning trash? Burning tires? Who knows? I wonder if Millard was simply looking to fill a market need for his less scrupulous friends, the disposal of bodies. Would it be worth $5k to never have to worry about a body showing up somewhere down the road? Peace of mind right? There had to be a reason he wanted that thing to be portable.

"It looks like it has been used more than once," Cook says, looking at a photo of the main chamber of the incinerator. Pillay objects. Jury again sent out for a legal argument.

Agreed, I'm really starting to wonder about SS.

Either he knew all along what DM was involved with, or he's one of the dumbest people on the planet. You cannot be THAT involved with someone day to day and NOT know, or at the very least suspect, what they're up to.

I was just saying that I don't think farmers would empty it out every time it's used, probably wait until it was full of ashes.

I think either SS was in on it or the incinerator wasn't bought for evil purposes . Seems like SS debating which model to get shows that he wasn't given that specific instructions from DM. Plus DM could have ordered it himself no? (I don't buy he wanted to keep his hands clean theory)

Wow...how could you not ask that question in front of the jury
