I don't see the purposes of these past two witnesses for the prosecution. They provided nothing. If anything I'm surprised that the witness was allowed to say that they presume it was TB based on th police investigation, and that there we no objections to that statement. So far there is nothing putting TB in that incinerator.

We haven't heard it all yet. I thought there was blood found on the incinerator as well. I believe I read it somewhere if I'm not mistaken. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I think the purpose what to show that LE did everything they could to try and identify the remains in the incinerator, but because the body was incinerated beyond all recognition (even at a molecular level) they were not successful. I had the same thought as you.....what was the point? But the remains have been determined to be human. And considering the totality of the evidence (cell phone pings, blood, etc) a reasonable person can conclude it was TB in the Eliminator. MOO

Hasn't been introduced into evidence yet, but in the Crown's OS it was stated that TB's blood was found on the Eliminator. HTH

The officers got there not long after 12:30 p.m. They searched a detached garage and the basement, and then one of the upstairs bedrooms.
by Adam Carter 3:37 PM

That bedroom belonged to Christina Noudga -- Millard's girlfriend.
by Adam Carter 3:37 PM

He found the DVR in the closet, under a pile of clothes.

Court now seeing photos of the DVR buried underneath clothes in a closet.
by Adam Carter 3:39 PM

For people who don't know, a DVR is a digital video recorder.
by Adam Carter 3:40 PM

Wilson says he seized the DVR and passed it over to a detective in the identification unit.
by Adam Carter 3:41 PM

One other item was also seized, Leitch asks Wilson to please not tell him what it was.
by Adam Carter 3:41 PM

No cross examination. Wilson is excused.

The letter? What's going on? Could this have been deemed inadmissible? :silenced:

Hi everyone. Long time reader and first time poster. Thanks to everyone for keeping us onlookers updated!

I just wanted to respond to a previous thread that talked about MS's Pacific mention on his shoe. I saw a few people linking to urban dictionary. However, if you actual look up the definition of Pacific in the dictionary it refers to being peaceful in character or intent. I am guessing this is the more likely reason for using the word Pacific and not because he was trying to spell out specific as a few other people referred to.

I know we have yet to see all the evidence, but I'm a little confused as to why SS isn't up there with these guys. It seems there is even more evidence against him when comparing to MS. MOO

Did they say the officer went there looking for a DVR? As in they had information that they may find it there? :waitasec:

Question for a law person.....if we have any.....Could evidence that the Crown was going to use to "prove" the statements in their Opening Statement be now deemed inadmissible? I would have thought these admissibility issues would have been dealt with prior to trial so both sides know what they are dealing with and don't go making statements they won't be able to back up. But possibly because this was a direct indictment the rules are different? Anyone have any thoughts?

Sounds like CN was co-operating at this point. Seems it to her arrest to get some co-operation out of her. MOO.

OR it is more important for the case against her than DM and MS.

Does anyone have a link for what time CN was arrested? IIRC CN was arrested on April 10, 2014.....same day this search warrant was executed.....was she arrested BEFORE they searched her house or AFTER? Testimony today has house search starting around noon and finding the evidence in CN's bedroom after 3pm. TIA

What could they have wanted the DVR for? Are they referring to a PVR, like a Rogers box? Or are they referring to a DVD recorder? I'm a little confused.
