This crime seems to be all Millard's show. DM wanted the truck, kept the truck, cleaned the truck, kept the key on his keyring. The truck was for him.

However, he would be unable to steal the truck without someone to drive the Yukon away from the crime scene. Thus MS gets involved.

Both people were required for this crime to occur. One is the leader and instigator, the other a follower and lackey.

Is it possible the LE actually have the gun? Maybe this is all important to show that it's the same gun they have in evidence. We have only been given small amounts of evidence found. We also heard, that the gun was buried in a forest. So maybe MS or MM (if she knew where exactly) showed LE the way?

I feel like they would have mentioned this at opening, but maybe not.

An opening is just a brief statement and doesn't give all the detail of the case. Alot was hidden from the public as the case was being investigated and only coming out now as the trial goes on.
Guess I'm hoping this is the case and they have the gun. I don't see any point of telling us "it was buried in a forest" if they didn't find it.

Is having the gun really that important? I think not. They used a gun. Whether it was "that" gun or another gun really makes little difference. Bosma got in his truck with those guys and was shot dead that night. Those guys still had the truck. Are we to suppose that somebody else shot him or that Tim shot himself?

No tweet to support that. Dungey spoke in hypotheticals.

Dungey sure is making sure he keeps that satchel in the minds of the jury. Even working into a hypothetical as to whether washing it would remove the GSR....knowing that the satchel was found in a washing maching... MOO

I agree. If I was a juror there would not be beyond-a-reasonable-doubt evidence that that Walther killed TB at this point. Hell, there isn't even evidence that either of them actually owned the Walther. But those pictures have still have value, and in the end it just doesn't matter. They killed TB with a gun. It doesn't need to be that one.

Yup, at this point the gun photo is just another tidbit of information. They have not presented anything to link the gun in the photo to the gun that shot TB.

Not yet but there are a few people we haven't heard from.

Trivia! I always had a passing curiosity about how to pronounce Walther, but never enough to actually do anything about it. Until today. Was is Wall-ter? Or Walth-er? Turns out it's neither, just in case anybody is as handgun lame as me. It's a German make and pronounced closest to the English word 'vaulter', with the vowel sound something like the 'u' in ugly.

I believe the testimony yet to come (SS, AM, CN and MM) will likely be the most damning of all, for both DM and MS.

With all of the testimony & evidence so far, and what is yet to come, I cannot for the life of me imagine what either counsel plans to use as their "not guilty" defense. Hearing what they have to say may cause spontaneous hair pulling & cussing all across Ontario.

"was buried" meaning it's not buried anymore IMO.

We are back from lunch. Plaxton back up. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 5m5 minutes ago
Jury back. Plaxton still on stand. Video again of what looks like #Bosma truck followed closely by 2nd vehicle passing Super Sucker.

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 4m4 minutes ago
Seeing videos from business near the #Bosma house that shows two vehicles headed north at 9:20 pm the night Tim vanished.

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 2m2 minutes ago
Plaxton explaining that security cameras record at range of frames per second. Ex. 30 frames/second.

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 2m2 minutes ago
First video shows what Plaxton believes is an SUV or pickup truck with no hub caps headed south towards the #Bosma house in Ancaster.

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 50s51 seconds ago
Second video shows two vehicles driving in tandem North at 920pm

Thanks, I misunderstood that.

I think you may have got confused with the 1 particle found in the tray of the toolbox.

He says there was "one particle consistent with gunshot residue" in the tray portion of the toolbox. He says that means a firearm was either discharged nearby, or discharged and then placed inside, or handled by someone with GSR on their hands. "It shows an association even at one particle."-Adam Carter

Court now back in session, the jury is being recalled.

Mar 8 2016 2:14 PM
Plaxton is back in the witness box.

Mar 8 2016 2:15 PM
Plaxton says he used a program to create a pixel by pixel analysis of the second video called Omnivore.

Mar 8 2016 2:15 PM
"It captures every single pixel in a perfect representation," he says.

Mar 8 2016 2:18 PM
Plaxton talking about how many frames per second security camera video is shot in. He says it can be anywhere from 1 fps to 60 fps.

Plaxton said the first vehicle appears to be a pickup truck consistent with #Bosma's truck.

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 40s41 seconds ago
Paxton explaining some very technical stuff about how digital images are created.

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 19s19 seconds ago
The second Plaxton said is consistent with the earlier vehicle headed south.

Id love to know if TB was still alive at that point.

Mar 8 2016 2:26 PM
Reverse projection photogrammetry was used in this case. In this case, there's a known object -- a vehicle. That known object is taken back to the scene and re-photographed through the same security camera. "It allows us to overlap those two, and you can now see an differences between the two," Plaxton says.

Mar 8 2016 2:26 PM
Millard's Yukon was used to do this.

Mar 8 2016 2:27 PM
To do this, investigators need to recreate the original conditions in the video as best they can. One problem they had was the original video was shot in May, and the recreation was shot in June. So they had to adjust for when sunset was.

Mar 8 2016 2:28 PM
There was a 33 minute difference in when the sun would set, Plaxton says.

Mar 8 2016 2:28 PM
It was a little more overcast on the 12th of June when the experiment was conducted, Plaxton says.

Mar 8 2016 2:29 PM
Some plants also grew up in that amount of time, he says.

Mar 8 2016 2:30 PM
So in essence, to recap - the investigators brought Millard's SUV to the area in an attempt to do a shot for shot remake with the original security camera video to see if it matched up.

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC now
He adds the second video is also consistent with the timeline Sharlene #Bosma gave police for the night of May 6 2013.

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 1m1 minute ago
Reverse direction photogrammetry. Science of determining size of objects in a photograph. Take known object back to scene & overlap images.

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 1m1 minute ago
Plaxton says he and police duplicated the video by staging a reenactment in June 2013 using a pickup truck and Dellen Millard's SUV

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 50s50 seconds ago
Video analyst recreated the surveillance from Super Sucker with the blue Yukon seized from #Millard, to compare with footage from May 6 2013

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 1m1 minute ago
Took Millard's seized Yukon back to Super Sucker to replicate image at same time (adjusting for 33 min difference for sunset) on June 12.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 47s47 seconds ago
Plaxton explaining an experiment done called reverse projection photogrammetry. #Bosma

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 17s17 seconds ago
Some of the differences between the mayy and June videos are it was darker in June and there is more foliage

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 43s43 seconds ago
They take a known object back and rephotograph it through same video system, to overlap the two. #Bosma
