I believe 1 particle was found in the satchel.
No tweet to support that. Dungey spoke in hypotheticals.

Is it possible the LE actually have the gun? Maybe this is all important to show that it's the same gun they have in evidence. We have only been given small amounts of evidence found. We also heard, that the gun was buried in a forest. So maybe MS or MM (if she knew where exactly) showed LE the way?

I feel like they would have mentioned this at opening, but maybe not.
/trial newb
An opening is just a brief statement and doesn't give all the detail of the case. Alot was hidden from the public as the case was being investigated and only coming out now as the trial goes on.
Guess I'm hoping this is the case and they have the gun. I don't see any point of telling us "it was buried in a forest" if they didn't find it.

Is having the gun really that important? I think not. They used a gun. Whether it was "that" gun or another gun really makes little difference. Bosma got in his truck with those guys and was shot dead that night. Those guys still had the truck. Are we to suppose that somebody else shot him or that Tim shot himself?
Yup, at this point the gun photo is just another tidbit of information. They have not presented anything to link the gun in the photo to the gun that shot TB.

Thanks, I misunderstood that.
I think you may have got confused with the 1 particle found in the tray of the toolbox.
He says there was "one particle consistent with gunshot residue" in the tray portion of the toolbox. He says that means a firearm was either discharged nearby, or discharged and then placed inside, or handled by someone with GSR on their hands.
