But that would have been later in the evening after AJ and SS had left work, well according to AJ anyway. DM cancelled the paint job and started preparing to move the truck before that I think? Did we get a time for that text to LW?

That is definitely fair. I personally share the belief that he was just saying things to say things, attempting to cover his bases and more just saying this and figuring he could come up with the actual facts later. Obviously MOO.

What I really meant by my post was, kind of a silly move to narrow the scope of who could have set him up so quickly since he only worked with a few people. Obviously it was just a simple text to only one person. Just found that interesting since there are so few employees.

I think you have it right!
Comes back to my last post "she'd lie if it wasn't in front of her" I think she knew exactly what was going on and was sending DM a SOS warning. I also believe since she did this code talk, she handed her phone over to LE as a "See, he is innocent" remember, they also had phone conversations and also used her kids phone. Why use kids phone if you have your own?

This doesn't happen in real life. I have real estate agent friends and if they don't sell the property, they don't get paid. Even if they busted their butts on a listing for months. If the owner goes to another agent after the listing expires with them, they don't get paid. Ever.

I don't think the listing expired. It was passed on to someone else because of the no contact order with DM.

Night of May 9, 2013 she asks how his day is. Next morning he replies "stress filled." ie those texts were on the afternoon of the 10th, when LE was closing in.

I find this whole "someone I work with set me up" thing pretty interesting since we all seem to be very aware of how few people actually worked with him. I feel like that really leaves only a small handful of people he could blame for this so called "set up" IMO ... Really limiting options ... No?
