On the topic of the stolen Harley, I wonder who in DM's circle has a black truck.

I suppose DM's Yukon could be considered a truck and it's dark blue (mistaken for being black). SS has a black minivan (which I noticed in video posted by CHCH has a trailer hitch)... would be a stretch to call a van a truck though.

http://www.torontosun.com/2013/05/30/stolen-harley-found-on-property-of-accused-tim-bosma-killer

Anything that doesn't look like a car, I call trucks. I have a CJ and WJ (Jeeps) and a Ram pickup, I consider them all trucks. They certainly are not cars lol
So I myself would consider the Yukon and mini van trucks too, as they are not cars in my eyes. Guess it depends on who ya ask.

LE have the shell casing from the gun and it was found in TB's truck. And they have gunshot residue on OR in a toolbox.

Without physically examining/testing the gun in photo, Plath notes she can't say if it's a functioning firearm, replica etc. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 7s8 seconds ago
ACP written on gun is automatic colt pistol...She cannot tell from photo of it is an actual functioning firearm and not a replica.

Now seeing a 2nd photo: one we've seen before of what looks like man holding gun close to camera. Partial face visible in back #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 1m1 minute ago
Court now seeing different photo jury has seen before of handgun being held with two fingers on grip. Cannot exclude it as a Walther PPK.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 1m1 minute ago
Seeing it compared to another photo from RCMP database. She says this one too cannot be excluded as being a Walther PPK. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 17s18 seconds ago
Fraser is pointing out various named parts of gun that were used for comparison purposes (against database PPK photo). #Bosma

In the photo were shown of person holding gun, a red dot is visible. That means the safety is off, she says. Its in position to fire. #Bosma

Red dot on gun in photo means the safety is off and it's ready to fire. #Bosma

Is there any significance to the way MS is holding the gun in the photo? The angle of the gun, the way he's gripping it, etc. Why take the photo that way?

This is another photo that was recovered, and Plath says a .380 cartridge could be loaded into this magazine.

"I cannot say whether it is an actual functioning firearm," Plath says. It could be an air gun, or modified. She can only say for sure if the gun itself is recovered.
by Adam Carter 2:51 PM

Court now seeing this photo that was recovered from an iPad found at Smich's residence.
by Adam Carter 2:52 PM

When placed next to a photo of a Walther PPK firearm, the gun in that photo "couldn't be excluded" as a Walther PPK firearm," Plath says.
by Adam Carter 2:53 PM

Gosh I only just noticed the face in the background of the 2nd photo. Who is that?

n/m I see now it is MS

I'm blown away that there could be more trials coming out of this (the stolen goods).

Gun trial, TB tiral, LB trial, WM trial, CN trial, thefts trial...it's almost like they are breaking down a gang that was running under the Millardair banner.

I'm sure Wayne wasn't that stupid to not have recognized this trail (apropos "trail": who has/needs ie 10-12 trailers on a hangar?) and I'm sure too they both had a lot of arguements. DM wouldn't have accepted father's exhortations and sorrows. Today I believe much more than before DM isn't innocent in the death of his poor father who has been probably in a desperate situation because of his son.

Pillay would like to canvas an issue before cross-examination. Jury is taking the afternoon recess. #Bosma

Experts are qualified based on education and experience. Being qualified as expert at previous trials helps.

how annoying if no weapon and no dna on remains ends up working in DM's favour

So...who's up for a Websleuths field trip? How many acres of woods are within walking/BMX bike riding/skateboarding distance of MS's haunts? :p

Do Smich and Millard always sit next to each other? I just assumed they sat beside their attorneys.. like on TV...

Someone asked about that and SC tweeted:

ETA: I think people are used to American trials on TV?

In Canada, they should be sitting in a prisoner's box. For this trial, it appears that either there wasn't enough room or their lawyers argued for them to be able to sit at a table. Perhaps there is only one monitor in the prisoner's box?

MOO
