What if...... MS wasn't actually in the truck when it all went down? (I suppose it's possible, yeah?)

If they didn't shoot him before picking up theYukon, there is a good possibility.

"He kept worrying about being associated with Dell," Daly says to police. Said he asked Smich " flat out" if he was other suspect. Said no.

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 1m1 minute ago
Daly told police that when he asked Smich if he was the other #Bosma murde right suspect, Smich said he wasn't even there #BosmaTrial

"The other thing he kept saying was they were looking for another suspect...I flat out asked him...if it was him and he told me it wasn't."

#Smich told Daly he wasn't even in the #Bosma truck.

(Another quote from Daly's police statement). #Bosma

In his police statement: Daly said he asked Smich who was driving. Smich responded 'I wasn't even there man.' #BosmaTrial

Something is either by design, or this case is getting very confusing.

They publish the time and date that LW_2 messaged DM about pressing the snooze button and peeing, but don't give us the time that DM called Tony to cancel the paint job. Or the time of day on the 6th that Daly was brushed off by MS.

These are two very important timelines.

MOO

Not to mention, if MS was dropped of by DM and scared of something on the 6th, it was before the murder. Are they referring to the morning of the 7th? How did MM end up in MS's house before DM dropped him off. None of this makes sense. Why won't any of these lawyers get the timeline correct? Because they don't want to. Confusion is good.

Dungey again suggesting Smich wasn't expecting the gun, and wanted to get rid of it. "He didn't know it was there and he didn't want anything to do with it," Dungey says. "It's possible," Daly says.
by Adam Carter 12:13 PM

Dungey then says Smich was trying to sell the gun to or drugs to get cash to retain a lawyer. "You weren't pressured into it, right?" Dungey says. "Yeah I was," Daly says.
by Adam Carter 12:15 PM

"Did you tell Mark at any point, 'You've gotta go to the police about this?'" Dungey says. Daly says no. Dungey says the two weren't thinking straight because the "haze" of drugs, but that Mark was "thinking straight" enough to try to get a lawyer.
by Adam Carter 12:16 PM

If you don't have the gun with you.....and you are not expecting it........How can you make a deal to sell it??? Someone shows up with the cash and you have no product.....not making sense totally

I've mentioned before that I'm not good at tracking the flow of which truck was where when, but I've definitely seen people put forth the theory that DM dropped MS off at the hidden vehicle, then was alone with TB when he shot him.

"Court's indulgence," says Dungey. Lawyer speak for "give me a minute."

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 30s31 seconds ago
Daly asked #Smich if he was the 2nd #Bosma suspect police were looking for.

Shannon Martin ‏@ShannonMartinTV 19s19 seconds ago Brampton, Ontario
In his police statement: Daly said, 'you have to forgive me. Anytime I'm with Mark we're drinking beer, no matter the time of day.' #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 14s14 seconds ago
In second police statement Daly says everything is "hazy" because of pot and beer.

Shannon Martin ‏@ShannonMartinTV 8s9 seconds ago Brampton, Ontario
'It's all hazy' And the memories are 'jammed together' Daly told police #BosmaTrial

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 19s20 seconds ago
Daly's haze comes through in his May 31 police statement: "whenever I'm with Mark were drinking beers no matter what time of day." #Bosma

Dungey: You're not hazy of this at all, he was afraid people might kill him. Daly: Correct. #BosmaTrial

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 33s34 seconds ago
Smich was afraid people might kill him and that Millard would set him up. #Bosma

Shannon Martin ‏@ShannonMartinTV 26s27 seconds ago Brampton, Ontario
Dungey: He was afraid he would be framed by Dellen Millard, correct. Daly: Correct #BosmaTrial

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 29s29 seconds ago
Dungey suggests Smich tells him a toolbox was dropped off, and it had a gun in it.
Yup, Daly says. #Bosma

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 48s48 seconds ago
Daly agrees his memory is hazy. In the convos he had with #Smich they were smoking dope & drinking. Still under influence during police invw

Smich was afraid someone would kill him and that Millard would set him up #BosmaTrial

This is is getting to be too much! He was hazy about the stuff that makes MS look guilty because he was drunk and high (whoever said Trailer Park Boys is right!), but he's not at all hazy from the booze and drugs about the stuff that makes his friend look less guilty, how convenient!

In the statement, Daly says he said to Smich: "I asked who was driving and he turned to me and said, 'I wasn't even there man.'"
by Adam Carter 12:39 PM

"You've got to remember, when I'm with Mark, we're drinking beer no matter what time of the day it is ... so they whole train of events is just jammed together," one of Daly's statement reads.
by Adam Carter 12:42 PM

Now taking the lunch break. Back at 2 p.m.

Daly tells police in later statement (May 31), that he and Mark when together are drinking beer no matter what time of day it is. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 30s31 seconds ago
So things were pretty hazy. "This whole train of events is just kind of jammed together," he says. #Bosma

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 24s25 seconds ago
Smich "never admitted anything" to Daly, the stoner told police #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 19s20 seconds ago
"Mark never actually admitted anything to me," Daly tells police...Breaking now for lunch. #Bosma

DM at 28 , driving around wearing sunglasses at night was freaking out the lowly little pot smokers. IMO, BD thought DM was creepy. MS may have been saying he wasn't there when TB was murdered. Before and after yes, but IMO, DM may have surprised MS with a dead TB when they got to Brantford. Any of these guys could have been the next ones to hit the BBQ. MOO

And of course there is still the involvement in the LB disappearance/murder. It will be interesting to see how much this web of slackers knew/know about her end.

"He just kept saying that he thought he was going to get blamed for something ... Dell was in jail, and he thought that this guy might turn on him and blame him for something," one of Daly's statements reads.
by Adam Carter 12:37 PM

MS sounding like DM setting up his defense when he realizes he's in s#!t. Of course he doesn't know then he was caught (not positively identified in court) on the hanger camera or that his GF would be testifying against him. Won't lie TD is doing a great job. Just even after today he's got some sleuthers convinced that he was unaware of the gun in the toolbox. Why not just go to LE if you were being set up for a murder once you saw the gun. Nothing you have to potentially hide because of self incrimination is gonna trump a first degree murder charge....unless you're hiding the fact you were a part of the murder. all MOO

BD seems to be shifting the responsibility for his drug use and drinking on to MS, IMO, when the truth is more likely that he was a very willing participant at the time in that lifestyle, IMO. I don't think MS made BD do anything he wasn't willing to do, IMO.

All MOO.

Maybe it's just the limitations of Twitter as a medium, but now I think Corey Hart did it. And he wasn't even on my radar before.

Hmm, this is interesting about the toolbox was only supposed to have drugs in it, but instead had a gun and was dropped off by AM.

The toolbox was shown to be identical to one in a video DM took years ago at his house. I have felt weird since yesterday about the idea of MS just keeping "his gun" in a big yellow toolbox. Doesn't seem like a great hiding place. So DM having a friend drop it off to him under the idea of it having drugs in the toolbox actually does make some sense to me. It is the first time one of the "framing" theories has made sense to me. Not that I think MS wasn't part of the murder, just that DM was trying to frame him and put all the blame on him.

MOO.

But Daly already testified, (without being led this this) when questioned by the crown, that MS asked him to get the toolbox, and when he didn't answer his phone he had Arthur get it for him. How would DM have gotten the message the AM to take the tool box to MS from prison when he was freshly arrested? I think TD is just muddling the water and also trying to make AM look bad before he testifies, to taint the jury's opinion of another witness before they testify, likely with damning evidence against his client.

Not at all. He's stated MS was trying to sell a gun. He's stated that MS was with DM. He's given a lot of info. He also doesn't seem to be sanitizing his testimony and by all accounts, doesn't seem to be worried about upsetting DM or MS. IMO, SS & gang should take some serious notes from this young man.

So it boils down to who's shooshing who? DM seems to have taken some serious ownership of a crime that some claim he had nothing to do with. I'm perplexed as to why an outstanding, wealthy, successful guy like DM would even be hanging with this crowd, let alone assisting one of them in stealing a truck and providing his incinerator to boot. I think it speaks volumes when you get a young guy like BD saying that he didn't like DM. VOLUMES!! MOO

It's the sunglasses. At night.

So Colin Butler thinks constantly referencing the witness as "stoner" is appropriate? Classy journalism right there IMO

  • #219
I am seeing lots of posts speculating, but what about sleuthing the evidence, or questioning the missing pieces?

What truck did MS get out of on the 6th? Red, Black, Dark Blue SUV??
What time of day?

Have they been answered, and I just missed them?

These are important! According to DT, it occurred on the 6th. Ignoring these I could speculate some wonderful scenarios.

?? I don't know what I'm reading, but I'm not seeing the same thing. You have to remember we haven't heard the rest of the story. You can't just take BD's testimony out of context- I don't think the Crown will be leaving any questions unanswered. MOO
