I think yesterday was the first time someone testified there was a gun in the toolbox.

he followed in the witness box and would have been out of the courtroom as previous witness testified-- must have been told about previous witness testimony ??

I know MH is doing his best to come clean, but I feel there are some things he is afraid to divulge. Still.

"Dungey asks if he and Michalski discussed what's in the backpack. Hagerman says it smelled like weed, but they didn't open it and didn't talk about it."

Oh! They talked about it.

Dungey now done his cross examination. Court in recess.

"Andrew tells you that Dellen would have wanted it to go to Mark." Dungey says. "Yes," Hagerman says.
by Adam Carter 2:51 PM

When the police came to search Millard's house, Michalski had the backpack in the trunk of his car, Hagerman says.
by Adam Carter 2:51 PM

Ironic, it seems he could have delivered it to Mark a lot easier if that's where he wanted it to go.

Ok......can someone tell me what TD accomplished there? Besides throwing doubt on MH's testimony bc he lied so many times to police? IMO MH was more damaged to DM......showed his as the ring leader in the thefts.....MOO

yes! that leaps into my mind too --- why didn't he just take the tool box from H and just trot off to see MS, H could have taken the pooch (assuming pooch was in his car too along with b/pack)

Say what you will, but TD gets a lot of questions we've wondered about answered. :)

Like many here, I feel for MH. But at the same time, it's time to grow up.

This is a very serious case, and the Bosma family have been, and will be crying for a very long time for their lost loved one.

I wonder how that played in the courtroom...appropriately or inappropriately aggressive and accusatory? Didn't feel right from here.

That's not what I meant. Why wouldn't DM leave it with Mark if that's what he wanted to do?

A few things:

1.) This person who was involved in this crime and trying to save his own and maybe DM's behind was the one who led police to MS ... he lied a lot, so how do we not know he lied to police then?
2.) DM was adamant about the toolbox going to MS ... this could imply that there was a framing or setup happening.

His job is to get his client off from a 1st degree murder charge. This witness wasn't telling the whole truth IMHO as has been shown in the past. He was taking his <modsnip> lawyers advice and only saying what he needed to say. Dungey was pushing him appropriately to try and get this little bird to sing.

Do you guys think when court resumes the Crown will re examine or next witness?

If this was a sexual assault case, wouldn't all the testimony from these guys be thrown out because they have all admitted they are liars and their testimony is now unreliable? All we have is disjointed forensics.

Judge Goodman interjected TD's cross-examination several times.

"Are u feeling sorry for yourself? Why r u sniveling? "Dungey asks. Hagerman breaks down. Justice Goodman stops questioning.

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews · 19m19 minutes ago

"Why are you snivelling, are you feeling sorry for yourself?" Judge - "I think the witness is emotional."

Dungey suggests the only time you tried to be truthful was bc a lawyer told you you were in deep trouble. Judge says not to go there.

If MH's testimony didn't elicit any reaction from DM at all, I will be completely convinced that he is a psychopath.

yep.....says it all and that could explain H's explanation of ''lies'' told etc etc

like throwing the ''hot potato'' towards MS ((at DM's discretion when needed to save his own hide))

and was it really necessary to have two guys go to Oakville?? backpack boy could have delivered toolbox to see MS

Is the date rape drug one too?

There are many drugs that can be considered "date rape drugs".....to which are you referring?

I think TD is doing whatever he can to expose the character weaknesses in the testimony of every witness who in the past covered for DM or was involved with his theft "capers". He wants to demonstrate that DM had power and control over their actions, and IMO, TD is just doing his job as MS's lawyer, and he's doing it better than DM's team by far, IMO.

I don't think it comes across as too tough in the context of this trial where many of these witnesses did try to protect DM and/or themselves with nary a thought of TB or his family. It is the cold, hard truth and it is not easy to hear for the witnesses - or us - but it is nonetheless necessary for the whole puzzle to be solved, IMO.

All MOO.
