If DM knew AM was arrested for first degree murder, he probably knew AM would sing like a canary to save his own behind. Hence the letter to CN asking her to get someone to change what they had said. DM must have had lots of time to sit and think in his cell and all the bad, incriminating texts and in person conversations must have been bouncing around in his head. So he needed to try get those conversations squashed.

Smich phoned him on May 10 and told him to get all of the drugs out of the house. Michalski met up with Hagerman, who had the toolbox Millard had. "So we're going to dump it on Smich, right?" Dungey says. "No, he wanted it," Michalski says.

Also clear that AM lied to the police.......maybe not as many times as MH......but MH wasn't arrested for murder......ugh......my faith in humanity is gone.....did any of these PEOPLE tell the truth at the start??? MOO

I have had someone in my life when I was younger that had scary influence over me and I lied a lot for them. Mind you not about things this serious, but still. I lied a lot and often for them because I knew I was in huge trouble if I told the truth and they found out.

Good point. And I would bet that in the very early days, these guys may have thought that everything was going to work out in short order and things would be back to normal. They wouldn't want to turn on DM only to find out a week later he was arrested in error etc. MOO
