Meneses says it's fair that she didn't want to know any more, because the truth would be too painful.
by Adam Carter 10:51 AM

More from her statement: "Go in. Like, just go in there and tell them you didn't do anything. Like, if you're hiding, you're going to be in more trouble than not hiding."
by Adam Carter 10:52 AM

"The truth is what you wanted to believe, right?" Sachak says. "Right," Meneses answers.

by Adam Carter 11:01 AM

She made multiple statements to the police before that date.
by Adam Carter 11:01 AM

I think Pillay is creating a contradiction here for TD to jump all over. His first attack is basically saying that what she said in her statement and also in court is only what MS told her so it isn't first hand and thus, essentially can't be relied upon. Now he is insinuating that all the things that MS said about "f'ing up" and TB was "gone, gone, gone" suggests that it truly was MS that killed TB etc. Which is it Pillay? Her testimony is garbage because it was second hand from MS or the testimony is very good because it suggests that it was MS and not DM that "F'd" up? MOO

Goodman tells the jury to disregard one of Sachak's statements that one of Meneses' statements to police was akin to a Dickens novel in size.
by Adam Carter 11:10 AM

Sachak says the last statement she made was 9 days before her testimony. "That's the first time in three years that you made any reference to them celebrating," Sachak says.
by Adam Carter 11:12 AM

Meneses says no, and that in her first statement to police she says something about Millard and Smich being happy when she got into the SUV.

by Adam Carter 11:13 AM

Sachak now pointing out that Meneses couldn't remember what was said inside the truck at first under examination from the Crown. She had to refresh her memory from her first statement.

by Adam Carter 11:15 AM

It's looking like the text about the fire side furniture and sausage frying will be one of the key evidence that MS was a partner to premeditated murder. MM has a long way to go with the cross, and it's not starting out well for her. MOO

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 14s14 seconds ago
That they told her they stole the truck etc., Sachak says--reminding her that at first she couldn't remember during Crown examination #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 54s55 seconds ago
Reminds her she had to look back at her prep statement (from April 16). She agrees. #Bosma
