He says so 5 days later you forget you said that but 3 years later you remember they were celebrating in the truck. She agrees. #Bosma

Millard lawyer focusing on the fact that Meneses never mentioned the two seem to be 'celebrating' three years after the fact #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 16s16 seconds ago
Sachak suggests that in the car she didn't ask them much about the celebrating. She agrees.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 17s17 seconds ago
He suggests that's because there was no talk about celebrating. She says that's not true.

Alex Pierson ‏@AlexpiersonAMP 9s9 seconds ago
Meneses spoke to police several times. And never disclosed the men wanted to celebrate. MM disagrees. @AM900CHML #timbosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 4s5 seconds ago
He says so then onto the next conversation? She says no there wasn't any. it's a short drive from her sister's place to his mom's place.

She says she didn't ask about the celebration.
by Adam Carter 11:17 AM

"I don't know why I didn't ask, I just didn't ask," Meneses says. "And that's why you didn't mention it to the police until magically three years later, right?" Sachak says. "No," Meneses responds.

Millard lawyer asking why Meneses didn't ask more about this celebration she only recently remembered. She can't remember #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 1m1 minute ago
Sachak pushing her, suggests she "magically" remembered this. "No," she says firmly. #Bosma

Alex Pierson ‏@AlexpiersonAMP 1m1 minute ago
Sachak suggests there was never a conversation about a celebration. Never happened. That's why she forgets. Mm disagrees. @AM900CHML

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 1m1 minute ago
Sachak is trying to get her to admit there was no celebration. She is resolute. Break time. #Bosma

I just keep remembering that MM thought MS "had been killed or something", yet, if she knew they were only stealing a truck, why wouldn't she have thought he 'had been arrested or something'?

  • #85
How is happy vs celebrating any different than calling a Christmas tree a holiday tree? could someone elaborate pls

I thought that as well. I still think MM knew exactly what happened by the 7th, and possibly knew what was going to happen on the 5th. I think its very obvious that she is being deceptive, so ask yourselves why? To protect Smich? Not likely. To protect herself?

It does seem trivial. Remember that IT also was questioned about his statement when he embellished the mood change after telling them he was in the Israeli army on the stand.

I personally think they are two completely different things.

Lets not underestimate the power of that "Celebrating" testimony. That was front page on every paper. Very disturbing that the first time she mentioned it was a few weeks ago.

So now MM is the one on trial? Got it. Once again this is a lot of noise. The Defense is pretty much approaching this from the angle that their clients were involved but they are trying to pin the worst of it on the other. Right now Pillay is attacking the fringe parts of her statements but whether or not they celebrated in the truck doesn't take away from the rest of the evidence that has been presented. MM's testimony, if nothing else, supports much of the text data that was presented as evidence as well as timelines. Once she is through this I am guessing TD will have a gentler approach since he likely wants to focus on the damning parts of her testimony that implicate DM. MOO

That really changes the meaning of her friend's (AM) text?

"Michalski then texted back, saying, "I told her that you guys were fine and that it's not the first time this has happened and won't be the last.""

Its certainly within their rights to challenge a witness' credibility, especially when every single one of them seems to be lying to minimize their own involvement. I believe both these guys are guilty, but they deserve the right to be tried on truthful testimony.

Too bad it's too late to go back and get completely truthful testimony from AM, MH and SS.

It's not a crime to have knowledge of a crime. Even if she knew everything, she couldn't be prosecuted for that. So, huh?

Exactly. Their conversations are out in the open. On the 5th she is with Smich ,Millard and AM and they are having a discussion about this mission. Do you honestly believe none of them actually asked how they were going to steal the truck whilst on a test drive? And are we honestly to believe that the only thing MM heard was that they were going to steal a truck? How many missions had Smich been on before? Did she ever beg him not to go? Why?

More of the same ... People are going to hold MM to a higher standard than all the "boys" who clearly lied their little butts off on the stand.

I'm not talking about her protecting herself from prosecution. I'm talking about her, or any of them, protecting themselves from the public stigma of having knowingly watched as TBs life was taken.

Sachak starts by saying she owes him an apology, and he owes her an apology.
by Adam Carter 11:44 AM

In one of her statements: "I asked them what was going on, they were like, don't worry. I asked are you guys were okay, and they said yeah."
by Adam Carter 11:45 AM

There's no reference to a "celebration" there, or them being happy on that page.
