Interesting to say the least.... I too had assumed it was just lack of education coming through but that is an interesting connection.

By the way...have you ever looked up the definition of Pacific? I haven't...but just did. Wow!

These folks are not that sophisticated to have a secret plan. Heck, MS didn't even make sure his phone was fully charged.

The one MM is still friends with. Hopefully she is not being fooled again. Even AM claimed he didn't know many classy girls, and needed to ditch his date when DM called.

It does make me wonder about MM saying it was her idea to get the pound of pot from DM's. She didn't answer that with a "yes" or a "no", she added why she wanted it. While during AM's testimony he said MS called and ordered him to get the pot to him, and that he was angry. He even went as far as to acknowledge he was scared of MS. Maybe AM did get the memo?

Of course, it could be SS who CN was to convince. After all, DM did text that the knowledge of the GPS should remain among the three amigos, DM, MS, and SS. So SS was trusted with knowledge that others were not.

I am sure it will be revealed this week.

well earlier on she testified that she saw on the news Dell got arrested then freaked out..Smich grabbed her phone in a panic and started calling AM to get the drugs out of the house that they got Dell..so which is it?

Court is now underway, but in legal arguments. I'll let everyone know once the jury is back in.

So MM was into coke and she goes to stay/live at DM's house with Smich where there was coke around (apparently). Sorry, this testimony is a mess IMO. She knows the gun is DM's but knows that Smich handles and takes photos of himself holding the gun. Sigh. JMO

Exactly! She now knew they took the Bosma truck on the 9th. Which one is it?

Legal arguments? I wonder what DM was crying about over lunch?? The timing of this argument sounds like there's something DM's team doesn't like in concern to Dungey's cross of MS. MOO

I expect those arguments have been happening and are likely mostly concluded by now. I'd think the judge is pretty motivated to keep some momentum to finish the crown's case.
The courtroom will be packed. The courtroom and overflow has already been full with people turned away since MM took the stand last week.

Wow, I knew they were packed, but I hadn't heard that people were turned away. That sucks (for the people!)!

BBM.. I don't disagree with you at all. It has been a bit hard to follow but I'm also finding that the reporters are a bit sloppier through this witness than they have in the past. I am wondering if they are trying to report more from MM so they are rushing and we are losing some continuity? Also more typos and mixing up names than we have previously seen. Not to take away from the job they are doing...just pointing out it seems they are struggling more through this witness than they have previously. MOO

I assumed it was a speech impediment or mispronunciation on her part. I assumed that Pacific was on his shoes as a sign of West coast/west side hip hop. Some type of gang affiliation. He was living on the west side of the GTA. I could be wrong. MOO

She can only answer the questions she is asked.

Yes.. but when, say for example, speaking yesterday about how MS hit her.. could she not have elaborated that he hit her (once) but she told him to stop and he did? Only a few more short words to bring greater clarity, than just simply leaving it open ended, which may lead people to assume that it was regular, ongoing, and hadn't ever stopped.

She has lost credibility with me because she keeps misspelling Dungey's name. Dungee?? Do your research!

Nothing beats "Andrew Malarchuk" about three hundred times a few weeks ago. Or "whatever his name is" the other day. Might have been the day after she referred to Elizabeth Meneses as Marlena's mother several times. Or maybe not. Whatever the day was.

Several mentioned CN could testify as early as tomorrow. Questions on that... while we wait for legal arguments...
IF CN were to testify fully and honestly, disclosing all that DM had told her and also the role that she played in assisting DM, would her own trial and charges still proceed?
As I understand it, anything she says, cannot be used against her in her own pending trial. But if she states exactly what the crown already has on her charge sheet, can that information still be used against her, or if she fesses up, does it become ineligible?

I heard on the radio this morning that one of the big crowd factors is that teachers are bringing their 20-30 student classes in to watch- you get a couple of those and I would imagine the available seats for normal spectators get scarce. MOO

Another weird thing (again, to ME), imo, is that MM is now being cross examined by TD, she has already testified for the Crown, and for DM's lawyer, and yet it is not until TD specifically reminds her things such as.. MS wanted her to get off of cocaine before he'd go out with her, he wanted her to finish her education, he didn't want her to participate in the illegal 'missions', he and his family had supported her for over a year before he was telling her she should get a job and get some money, etc. .. it sounds like he hit her once, and was told no more, and no more happened, whereas yesterday, her testimony made it sound like he was a woman batterer on a regular, ongoing basis that didn't stop. To me, it sounds like she is deliberately leaving out information which would put him in the worst possible light, rather than just telling the simple truth, *all* of it. moo.
I don't find this weird at all. Each lawyer is questioning her in a way that best suits their client. My client is the good one, he's the bad one. As someone mentioned above she is trying to answer the questions but doesn't realize that every single word is being analyzed. She is also being cross examined today as to what was said to her specifically, yesterday I believe she was testifying about how she felt or her impressions. For example if asked "he said they burned him, she agreed. But when asked did MS say he incinerated him, she answered no.

That is *almost* as bad as DM's own defence team member all day long, referring to his client as 'Dillon', which is what he did one entire day when I was present, not sure about any other days. (It was NS). Pretty pathetic.

I missed that part... DM was crying over lunch? Was that in a tweet? Narcissists only cry for themselves...

I heard as early as tomorrow. But we will have the LE officer first.

Explains why Rubikinks has been so active on social media yesterday and today. Interesting artsy shot of a wreath like illustration with a woman's face in the center, a plane on one side with a snake on the other. I still think hat this is all some kind of code.

People claim that MM was an ineffective witness, but she has killed the "maybe they killed TB by accident and it was meant to be just a theft" debate here on WS, IMO.

No, she didn't. That stopped with the reading of the messages from DM and MS.

As long as Dillon can pay his legal bills, and signs them Dellen, everything is just fine. MOO

The right to not self-incriminate means they can't use her testimony against her. The Crown has to have independent proof of the crime, which could include a confession during interrogation, but they can never get up and say "You acknowledged doing X, Y and Z during your testimony in R. v Millard and Smich!" The only exception is if she were to offer testimony at her trial that is in contradiction with her testimony here. So if she gets up here and says "I helped DM move the incinerator into the woods" and then chooses to take the stand in her own trial and says "I was sleeping that night", they can then use her prior testimony to impeach her.

ETA If she is forthright and helpful here I think it should rightly be used as a mitigating factor in her sentencing, should she be convicted.
