Is it not said that DM has complete and unfettered access to computers and such so that he may defend himself in his LB case? Wondering if that means access to internet? Just a thought, and wondering same.

It would be very very difficult to not have your internet traffic monitored. Methods that hide contents through services like the Onion network (Tor), or the use of a VPN would be restricted. After seeing what LE retrieved, would he chance it?

The Crown could say that. They can introduce her previous testimony if it is contradictory. So if CN in this example takes the stand in her own trial she will have to be consistent or face impeachment by her own past words. If she doesn't take the stand however the Crown can't present her past testimony as evidence.

That's getting past my level of understanding if it gets to the point where she would actually take the stand in her own trial and say something different than what she says at DM's trial... I would have guessed however, that it would be at a separate trial for perjury that her conflicting testimony would be presented. No idea. I wonder if that has ever happened.

I would think that unrestricted internet access would be bait for every long-term inmate to become their own lawyer.

People claim that MM was an ineffective witness, but she has killed the "maybe they killed TB by accident and it was meant to be just a theft" debate here on WS, IMO.

I agree, she implicated both of them too.i.e. she didn't say MS wasn't there.

I think it would have been hard for her NOT to identify a little with the snake and airplane one. Her association with DM caused her life to take a dark turn and now she's up on criminal charges. For all her loyalty it should be clear to her that she didn't mean much to DM. I have to think she has pain and regrets. My guess is that the image may have resonated with her due to the case, and that that might be part of why it was compelling enough to her to include in her feed. That's different though from it being some kind of mysterious code.

Yes, but wouldn't it be nice to also put with that description, what was *said* during these excited bounces?

I think it was pretty clear what was likely said as per MM interpretation was "successful mission" and "Where were you I was worried?" "We were out celebrating."

Explains why Rubikinks has been so active on social media yesterday and today. Interesting artsy shot of a wreath like illustration with a woman's face in the center, a plane on one side with a snake on the other. I still think hat this is all some kind of code.

I think one of the photos is her dad.

She also posted a drawing of a woman's face with a tear under one of her eyes. I know it can mean many things oviously, but is it not also the gangsta/prision-culture symbol for having killed someone?

Oh I'm sure it has many times. In the same way lawyers challenge witnesses against their own police statements, they challenge them against their previous testimony. It doesn't have to rise to the level of perjury, which has a fairly high bar and requires intent among other things. And if a witness offered two conflicting testimonies, which one is the lie? I'm not sure how they would make that perjury case without again being able to prove the lie independently. So a witness could be impeached with their own testimony which would serve more than anything to destroy their credibility at their own trial, and with it their ability to advance their own cause. It would be wildly dumb to do this to any great degree, and I can't imagine that happens very often. Mistakes in recollection, new spins on things etc. are probably the most frequent ways previous testimony comes into evidence.

Probably. Isn't she on house arrest except for going to school? IMO, that gives her lots of time to sit and worry about her upcoming time on the stand and her own trial.

For someone on house arrest she sure has been around Toronto, out at bars, at art galleries and up north in Collingwood. All documented via Instagram. As far as I know she has graduated and is working

While out on bail and awaiting trial, Noudga will live at her parents’ Toronto-area home. She will be permitted to attend classes at a university she is currently enrolled in and go to work. Otherwise, she’ll have to be accompanied on any outing by at least one of her parents.

The image you mention regarding the blue tear "faux makeup" was an added filter on SnapChat. Another app related to social media
ETA...adding image similar to CN that someone I know also used via SnapChat for reference.
