I am seriously considering sending a bottle of Scotch to Dungey, or whatever he prefers.

I'll chip in, "a gift for kicking 🤬🤬🤬, from your friends at WS!"

DUNGEY......did not disappoint ! :fireworks:

Interesting that none of this was raised by the Crown.

That's all on board for November, and probably even more Dungey doesn't know about. IMO.

Outraged people don't forget names and faces. Homolka was drummed out of Montreal by neighbours. This young lady had better have a face and name change and practice her 'medicine' far, far away from the GTA.

It was Noudga who wiped down the truck. She says Burns told her what parts she'd touched. #Bosma

She never told police that Madeleine's fingerprints were on truck. ONly remembered that here in court. She didn't think that was important.

Reporter error?? Or did we have a tongue slip?

I guess the last thing the crown wants to do is to paint their own witness as being a liar and manipulator?

I would somewhat agree, but I think that horse bolted the barn when they made the application re: hostile witness.

Ah yes! What of the damn hoses???!

Explains all the effort in covering up to and from the courthouse. I know I wouldn't recognize her if I saw her in the street. I don't mean to disrespect the courtroom artists, but they aren't very meaningful renderings...

wonder if Dungey will call Mrs. Burns to stand?

The way I understand it is that whichever 'team' calls the witness (in this case, the Crown), that team is not allowed to ask leading questions.. they must rely on the witness to bring up, in their own words, whatever their testimony is.. and if CN failed to bring up certain points that she had made in her statement, or that were in these letters, the Crown's hands were tied as far as raising the issues... but when the defence lawyers do their cross examinations, they ARE allowed to ask leading questions, and so it gives them much more leeway in asking direct questions regarding information which ALL of them are already aware of, so that the jury can hear it. moo

Family are immigrants that knew enough to lawyer up when she sobered up.

By having adversarial defense teams, CN is contradicting herself every time she blurts something out. Funny how her memory and behavour was so much different when Pillay was questioning.

The court artist's drawings of CN are not exactly flattering, IMO which I'm sure really bugs her, IMO. Small mercies, IMO.

All MOO.

Dungey: "Here you saying about blackmailing, what do you mean?"
CN: "I mean that I'm gonna be writing letters on black paper and send them in black envelopes"

I think at the beginning of May she wouldn't have started lifeguarding yet and her exams would have been done. My daughter goes to York and she was finished more than a week ago.

She said she was lifeguarding the day that DM was arrested and supposed to pick her up. And she seems to imply she was using when with him, not just in the few weeks between the end of school and his arrest. jmo
