Noudga says she started thinking "what if" the truck was in the trailer while talking with Millard's mother.

by*Adam Carter*3:54 PM

"You're not exactly an immigrant, are you? You're highly educated," Dungey says. "Not in the law," she says.

"I'm going to want to not have been involved in touching the trailer," Noudga tells court.

This one gets the 'most egregious use of the passive voice' award for the whole trial. Well done, CN.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 42s42 seconds ago
"We are immigrants to Canada. We don't know how the criminal justice system works," she says. #Bosma

Since when does this excuse someone like CN? When did she land here? MOO

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 1m1 minute ago
You covered your involvement in the case, that's the point, Dungey says. Noudga disagrees, incoherently

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 44s44 seconds ago
This was in "theorizing" with Madeleine Burns that they determined the truck could be in the trailer. #Bosma

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 39s39 seconds ago
"What if the truck is in the trailer?" Noudga and Millard's mother wondered after his arrest.

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 1m1 minute ago
She was "theorizing" with Madeleine Burns that #Bosma truck might be in trailer. "I'm not consciously aware of it being there."

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 1m1 minute ago
(And then they went to wipe off their prints, because they had touched the trailer)

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 53s54 seconds ago
"I'm going to want to not have been involved in touching the trailer," Noudga tells court.

Dungee says "u know u had gotten rid of evidence. Your prints r evidence." "It is now." Noudga says. It wasnt DMs"

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 55s55 seconds ago
Dungey asks why they didn't pick up the phone and say to police "my god I don't know if it's in there or not..."

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 53s53 seconds ago
Why don't you pick up the phone and call police and say it's possible the #TimBosma truck is in the trailer?

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 40s40 seconds ago
"...but it's possible the Tim Bosma truck was in that trailer." #Bosma

  • #406

Noudga says at the time that it was forcible confinement, which is the case.

by*Adam Carter*3:57 PM

Dungey again asks why she and Burns didn't call the police about the trailer. "Have you ever been against extreme stress, duress? ... Intoxication?" she says. "Oh, you poor thing you ... we're supposed to feel sorry for you? Dungey says. "This is a first degree murder ... and you do nothing."

by*Adam Carter*3:56 PM

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 55s56 seconds ago
She suggests he's never been under extreme stress and duress. "Oh poor you," Dungey says, his voice raising. #Bosma

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 50s51 seconds ago
"intoxication, stress," Noudga goes on about why she was stressed. Oh poor you! Dungey roars. This is a first degree murder case!

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 42s43 seconds ago
She lists: intoxication, stress, duress, confusion etc. "I wasn't thinking about anything really," she says. Dungey loud.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 38s38 seconds ago
"Oh you poor thing, you...we're supposed to feel sorry for you?" #Bosma

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 19s19 seconds ago
Dungey says she was just trying to save her backside. Noudga says, plus, it was forcible confinement and theft

  • #408
Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 1m1 minute ago
"I wasn't thinking that it was first degree murder. It was forcible confinement and theft." Dungey says even easier then to go to police.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 36s36 seconds ago
"This is a first degree murder...and you do nothing," he says. She says at that time it was theft and forcible confinement. #Bosma

  • #409
Dungey says it was a decision from her and Madeleine Burns to wipe down the truck. "I don't know why, we just did. It was a spur of the moment, panic decision," she says. "We were in denial Dell had anything to do with this."

by*Adam Carter*3:59 PM

"We didn't want anything to do with this case," Noudga says. "We didn't want to be tied into all of it ... and have our lives destroyed by the media, which it has been."

by*Adam Carter*4:00 PM

Noudga says she didn't tell the police about Burn's mother instructing her where to wipe on the trailer the first time she talked to police after her arrest.

by*Adam Carter*4:01 PM

Noudga says it's "meaningless in importance" that she didn't tell police about Burn's instruction, because she brought it up in court.

"We didn't want to be tied into all of it ... and have our lives destroyed by the media, which it has been." #TimBosma #Bosma

It's not the media who destroyed your lives.

Dungey leaps. She doesn't think it's important to go to police when it's forcible confinement?

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 1m1 minute ago
"I didn't think of it at the time," she says of going to police. Judge tells Dungey to move on to next area of questioning.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 1m1 minute ago
Dungey suggests it was her idea. She and Madeleine Burns. Nobody else. "It was a spur of the moment panicked decision," she says. #Bosma

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 1m1 minute ago
No one else instructed the two to wipe their prints from the trailer. "I don't know why we just did. It was spur of moment panic decision."

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 1m1 minute ago
"To protect us," she says--not Dell. She said they were in denial he could be involved at all. #Bosma

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 1m1 minute ago
"We were in denial Dell had anything to do with this. We didn't believe it." So why wipe your prints? Dungey asks.

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 57s57 seconds ago
Why do you go down and wipe it out? "I don't know why we did. It was just spur of the moment..."

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 45s45 seconds ago
Dungey suggests if that was the case there'd be no reason to wipe down the truck. She says it was about them not her. #Bosma

Unfortunately, this is the one time I have to empathize with CN (sorry). I definitely have a dark sense of humor in times of trouble, and I make jokes that would come across badly without context, or to someone who didn't know me. I still do it in my private journals.

(I don't mean in an offensive sense, I mean in a gallows-humor sense. Sometimes it's the only way to cope.)

Yes, I believe that many of us might tend to be that way.. dark humor.. and that is what I thought of when BD said that about MS, that he would say (presumably dark) things, but then he wouldn't smile, so that BD wouldn't know if he was joking. I thought of this very thing, that MS said dark humorish type things, and BD just didn't know how to take him, since BD wasn't the same way like that.

"We both panicked... we did not want to be pulled into this and have our lives destroyed by the media, which it has been."

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 1m1 minute ago
"We emotionally reacted," Noudga explains.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 1m1 minute ago
It was Noudga who wiped down the truck. She says Burns told her what parts she'd touched. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 1m1 minute ago
Noudga says they wiped prints because their lives would be destroyed by the media. "Which they have been."

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 1m1 minute ago
He says she never mentioned this to police. She says they didn't ask. He says "so you weren't going to give them anymore than they asked."

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 1m1 minute ago
Noudga says she told police "more than they asked for." But didn't tell police about wiping off prints.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 1m1 minute ago
She says she gave them more.

"I hadn't slept for days, I had three exams in a few days." I'm sorry it never came up until you brought it up, she says.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 1m1 minute ago
She is now lamenting her schedule around the time of her arrest. She was very busy and tired. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 1m1 minute ago
Noudga sounds rehearsed and very cool. "I was distressed." Says she had exams and was working a lot at that time.

Alex Pierson ‏@AlexpiersonAMP 43s43 seconds ago
She was tired. Had exams. Wiping prints seemed to make sense for noudga. "Sorry I didn't mention it then." Sarcastic tone.

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 20s20 seconds ago
She never told police that Madeleine's fingerprints were on truck. ONly remembered that here in court. She didn't think that was important.

I am seriously considering sending a bottle of Scotch to Dungey, or whatever he prefers.

This woman is a piece of work indeed.

  • #418
People on Twitter (non-reporters) are quite irate about CN's responses in the last little while, especially hiding behind the excuse of being an immigrant. Not a popular person.

Dungey references more notes. #Bosma

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 27s27 seconds ago
Noudga says she got the next notes from the media (internet,) One heading: circumstantial evidence.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 23s23 seconds ago
She made them from various media reports and from searching online. She says she was trying to recreate a timeline. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 13s13 seconds ago
Noudga says her next notes come from info from the Internet. Says "Texts plus missions" listed under circumstantial evidence.

  • #420
Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 51s51 seconds ago
"Internet browsing history" is another heading. That didn't come from media did it? Dungey asks. That was my history, she says

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 49s49 seconds ago
Missions "which everyone is bringing a lot of attention to now. I obviously misunderstood what was going on."

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 34s34 seconds ago
Listed under "circumstantial evidence" it says "internet browsing history." #Bosma

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 5s5 seconds ago
Why did she put browsing history as circumstantial evidence. Noudga's laptop was at Millard's house. So what if he used hers to find truck?
