Dungey: Did you think it was criminal? (Long pause.... crickets) Noudga: I don't know. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 7m7 minutes ago
"I'm probably the only girlfriend he had who knew the two people," he wanted to tamper with.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 7m7 minutes ago
Dungey asks if she wrote to him and asked if he was asking other people to do these things. She said no. #Bosma

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 7m7 minutes ago
Did she write and ask Millard whether he was asking other people to contact witnesses? No.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 6m6 minutes ago
She says looking back it makes sense he was asking her because she knew the two individuals. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 7m7 minutes ago
"It makes sense he would ask me because I actually knew the two individuals." She agrees she contemplated doing it. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 1m1 minute ago
Noudga has been on the stand 5 days and has never said Tim Bosma's name.

Yes, I noticed that......

  • #403
Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 7m7 minutes ago
Looking back now, Noudga says it makes sense because she knew Hagerman & Michalski. Noudga contemplated helping him

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 7m7 minutes ago
She agrees she was even contemplating asking about the specific information she would need. #Bosma

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 6m6 minutes ago
When she was contemplating how to help, she was aware of the degree of criminality? No. She did know if she complied it would be criminal

Mark Carcasole ‏@MarkCarcGlobal 6m6 minutes ago
"I knew that if I did comply with (#Millard's letters) it would be criminal. But in didn't know him asking for it would be." #MillardSmich

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 6m6 minutes ago
She didn't know him asking was criminal. Dungey says I'm talking about you--your letters. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 6m6 minutes ago
She knew for "certain" that complying would be criminal, but she didn't know Millard asking for her to tamper that his request was criminal.

Dungey now moving on to another letter from Millard.
by Adam Carter 2:41 PM

"I am pacing about my cell imagining the jury before me and working out what to say, what to convey," Millard writes. "Legal argument should be left to the lawyers. Obviously I want the jury to believe I am not a murderer. But by what road to I bring them to that conclusion? In this little practice session I imagine I would have conveyed that I am scared, but composed. Do you think that is a good route?"
by Adam Carter 2:43 PM

Noudga says she ignored anything Millard wrote about his case.
by Adam Carter 2:45 PM

BBM
You only need to work on your story to convince they jury of your innocence if you actually did it. Otherwise, you are just trying to tell the truth.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 6m6 minutes ago
She says it's "proven" that she never complied or responded to his requests. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 6m6 minutes ago
She says it's because of the criminality she decided not to do it. #Bosma

Mark Carcasole ‏@MarkCarcGlobal 7m7 minutes ago
Noudga states again she never carried out #Millard's requests. Just contemplated it.

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 6m6 minutes ago
"In contemplating the criminality, I decided not to do it," Noudga says

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 5m5 minutes ago
Now seeing another letter from Millard. Begins again in Ukrainian. He talks about doing push-ups on bibles. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 5m5 minutes ago

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 5m5 minutes ago
Another Millard letter on the screen: My heart's racing. It's probably a combo of quick workout and rehearsing an opening address to jury

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 5m5 minutes ago
"It would be highly unusual, which is usually where I do best," he writes. #Bosma

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 5m5 minutes ago
Millard used bibles as weights in his workouts.

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 5m5 minutes ago
"I contemplated the criminality of it and decided not to do it," says Noudga. Next letter from Millard. Practicing opening address to jury.

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 5m5 minutes ago

by Adam Carter 2:46 PM

"So here's here with you, the person he loves the most, and he's not telling you anything about a truck he had in his hangar that was stolen," Dungey says. "No," Noudga says. Millard was texting Shane Schlatman about the truck on May 9 when he was with Noudga.
by Adam Carter 2:47 PM

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 5m5 minutes ago
Wants to seem "scared but composed." Noudga says she ignored all that. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 5m5 minutes ago
Dungey asks if she responds. She says she would've congratulated him on the push-up (he'd had an injury). But not re: his case. #Bosma

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 5m5 minutes ago
Noudga says she never addressed it in her reply. She never did as a rule. #Bosma

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 5m5 minutes ago
"I was pacing about my cell imagining the jury before me, and working out what to say." Millard wrote.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 5m5 minutes ago

In another note, Noudga wrote, "Do you love me, or are you a manipulative liar?"
by Adam Carter 2:30 PM

Noudga says her notes are often scattered. "Scattered brain you've got, for someone who is going into medical school?" Dungey says. "Apparently," Noudga says.
by Adam Carter 2:31 PM

Noudga also wrote that she's wondering why he took her that day to move the truck, which "ruined her life."
by Adam Carter 2:31 PM

He told his mechanic, but not the woman he loves most in the world? Dungey asks? Yes, Noudga agrees.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 4m4 minutes ago
Dungey references the photo of a gun Crown had shown her. She says she didn't recall seeing that photo. #Bosma

Noudga says she doesn't know if the phone rang, or if Burns dialed on the phone.
by Adam Carter 2:49 PM

"That's rather strange, this lover of yours, you're on one end, he's on the other, and you don't talk?" Dungey says. "Yup," Noudga answers.
by Adam Carter 2:50 PM

Dungey now going back to another of Millard's letters.

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 5m5 minutes ago
The phone call to jail when Noudga was with Millard mother was in a phone booth after they had dinner. Maybe near the Canyon Creek?

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 5m5 minutes ago
It was Madeleine Burns's idea? Dungey asks. She says she had to call him anyway. #Bosma

  • #419
molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 4m4 minutes ago
Dungey asks--she called him? She says she doesn't recall, wasn't watching. #Bosma

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 4m4 minutes ago
"She had to call him anyways," Noudga says. She didn't watch Burns dial and isn't sure how call was achieved.

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 5m5 minutes ago
Burns had to call him anyways, says Noudga. Doesn't know what phone booth exactly. Noudga doesn't know if Burns dialled phone or if it rang.

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 5m5 minutes ago
She has no idea what time the phone call was. It was dark. "We had dinners, lunches, all at different times."

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 5m5 minutes ago
She "thinks" that by now she knew there was a no-contact order. #Bosma

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 5m5 minutes ago
She and Millard didn't talk, she says. That's rather strange, Dungey says.

by Adam Carter 2:53 PM

"Now as you know, he should not have spoken to the police at all," Millard wrote.
by Adam Carter 2:53 PM

"I think he is under the impression it is his duty as a citizen to give the police whatever they want," Millard writes.
