(Off to lunch. Maybe these questions will make more sense later. Thanks twitter posters.)
Those have to be the 2 stupidest questions I've ever heard.
Smich says he had a spade with him to bury the gun. He says he doesn't know its length.

Smich says he got the spade from somewhere outside the house. Sachak is really making a point of asking point by point details.

"I was conscious of what I was doing in the sense that I knew I was going to go out and bury the gun, but I was under an unbelievable amount of shock, stress and paranoia at that time," Smich says.

Sachak now asking how far away the spade was from the tape Smich used.
by Adam Carter 11:15 AM
"You told the court ... that that gun was used by Mr. Millard to shoot an innocent man," Sachak says. "You can't tell me where the spade was ... you can't tell me where the tape was."

I wonder what DM's interview was like? MS was crying- perhaps DM was getting inspiration and composure from the tattoos on his arms?We have a while to go but if this is the best Millard's team has got it doesn't look good for DM IMO. Interesting that the courtroom feels uncomfortable with laughs. Often times that also speaks to how the jury may be reacting to the cross too.
