I think you're right Typhoo. Depends on the type of charge that is being considered and how/if the Crown chooses to proceed. There are summary, indictable and hybrid offences (with hybrid being where the Crown can choose to proceed either by summary or indictable). There is a 6 month statute of limitation on summary offences and no limitation period on indictable offences (except treason where the statute of limitations is 3 years)

Thanks for this info..but just wonder why then it was brought up in court that it was still under investigation. What would be the purpose? If it can't be proved then the D would have been all over that I would think. Just asking cause I don't know..

Went back through the convo and can't seem to figure out what "it was" that was brought up in court that you refer to. I thought we were discussing possible charges against witnesses who were previously involved in old thefts. If they are admitting to old thefts but haven't been charged, no reason why it can't be brought up in court. It's witness testimony, whether believable or not ... and the defence had their chance to challenge it on cross. If they did not do so, it would appear the testimony was not in dispute.

Sorry if I've misinterpreted and was not addressing the right issue.

Forensic computer analysts return at Bosma murder trial
Jurors at the Tim Bosma murder trial will once again be hearing testimony this week from forensic computer analysts.


They’ll get more details about a series of messages found on an iPad and Blackberry that were seized from the home of co-accused Mark Smich.

Without a doubt- birds of a feather flock together. That's how I would seen DM and MS being friends. After watching the vid's of them at the hangar, tending to the Eliminator as it illuminated the side of the hangar, I often wonder how tough these two would have really been- if they were being tossed into their giant BBQ. IMO, these two are gutless. Moving in the darkness of the night killing innocent people- an easy target. Pathetic. Not that I know a lot about organized crime, but from what I understand, it is a big no no to kill innocent people. MOO

If your speaking of the red 68 Camaro, that's SS'S. Just hope whoever buys it, checks all the VIN'S and not just the dash VIN! A guy in Alberta bought a truck and now is truckless. The dash VIN was different then other VIN's on the truck and was reported stolen.

FWIW, I drove by CN's house this morn, as I live in the area, and there was a reporter parked across the street in a car with window down, jotting notes in a spiral bound notebook. There were no cars in the CN family driveway.

Not sure what that means, however I'm guessing with CN on the stand this week or next, they are parking a reporter outside the house to get the advance scoop if CN is on her way to the courthouse.

Totally off topic, but is anyone else experiencing pop-up video ads 'in' WS now after the changes? They are very annoying especially if trying to view linked Youtube links? I realize WS needs to pay the bills but is there any way to prevent multi-media ads from auto playing while logged into WS? Its become a real pain following along with sudden lag and ads screaming at you while following along.
