I already looked for a link to contact them, but didn't find a direct link. I don't see why they shouldn't. If anything deserves looking at -- it's this.

I remember when they did this, it was the first time I had ever heard of them. One of the network "news" programs did a piece on them which led the viewer to think they were taking on the entire case. Then later it turned out they were only looking at the one piece of evidence -- the RN. (Big disappointment.)

They looked at the RN in '98 (http://www.vidocq.org/ramsey/rams0129.html), but they never took on the entire case. Their analysis was never released publicly; but Ressler, who presented the RN analysis to members, has since made his ideas about it known.

If JB had said she didn't want to do the pageants any more, we wouldn't know about it. Her grandmother Nedra, when asked what she would do if JB ever wanted to stop, said "We say JonBenet, you WILL do it". She was 6. How much say-so do you think she had on the matter? The pageants themselves were probably fun- most little girls like to dress up in pretty dresses and get all "dolled up". It was the rest of it- the coaching, the dance and voice lessons, the photo shoots, etc. THAT was the part JB probably disliked.

If CODIS returns a match and the guy admits to being the IDI etc etc. well most of us will bow our heads but then celebrate that FINALLY this mystery has been solved. I for one will be happy I was wrong. But really, this is not going to happen. I DO BELIEVE that the truth will come out in the next few years. Burke was actually interviewed recently. New eyes are looking at the case. Something is going to happen!!! (And, if they would only give us access to ALL the evidence...we would have this solved by Christmas haha)

I know that LE wanted to interview him; I know that they requested an interview with him; I know that there are sensationalized headlines that imply he has been interviewed, but the last I heard he'd declined to be interviewed...or have we had a Christmas miracle that I haven't heard about?

Yeah, I guess it is. You admitted it yourself:

See, it all comes back to what I told mysteeri about old school vs. new school, i.e., doing legwork, running things down and above all, being able to put the pieces together into a cohesive framework and actually BUILD a case, vs. staking the whole farm on one or even two single pieces of evidence at the expense of everything else and waiting around with a thumb up their a** waiting for technology to do their work FOR them.

I don't know if that's what madeleine means when she says that most IDIs seem more focused on defending the Ramseys than finding an intruder, but it's the best illustration I can think of!

This may come as a shock to some people, but there was a time when we didn't HAVE DNA analysis or a lot of other amenities, but it was still possible to get convictions! And we weren't overflowing with wrongfully convicted people, either.

Like it or not, RDI, including those in the investigation--the BPD, the GJ prosecutors, the FBI--DID do a lot of legwork. You just don't like the results, by your own admission (as if we needed it!):

A "miserable failure?" An "enormous waste of time and money?" Well, that's your opinion, and you're welcome to it. I happen to agree, but for much different reasons! It was a failure and a waste of time and money because no one at the DA's office had the guts or the brains to actually DO ahything with it! HOYTH, my friend, you can take this to the bank: if this had happened anywhere else, the Ramseys would be rotting in prison THIS. VERY. DAY. And they all but admitted it! Alex Hunter came thisclose to saying flat-out that he didn't prosecute Patsy Ramsey for the killing because in his mind, she'd already suffered enough. Well, that's a very nice sentiment. And even if I agreed with it (and I do, to an extent) since when is it his place to decide that? Last I checked, the one who made those decisions was God, who the last few DAs seem to have confused themselves with. I have no doubt God has forgiven Patsy Ramsey. I just don't think our courts should have.

It's funny you say that, Peepers, because we don't know that they didn't. In fact, if certain people (Henry Lee, Michael Tracey, Bryan Morgan) are to be believed, they did NOT have the chance and were dismissed before they handed down a finding. Just thought you should know.

CODIS will never return a match if the DNA owner resides in a country outside its scope. I believe this is the case unfortunately.

Its very likley however that the DNA owner can be convicted without a confession.

Its pathetic that a panel of LE believes that a sleeping 10 year old holds the answers. It wouldn't be pathetic if it were not for the DNA and many other circumstances that indicate an intruder was there at night.

I for one can't believe that LE would have the audacity and insensitivity to approach an adult BR with anything besides "we figured out who murdered your sister". I am for one aghast.

The multiple DNA discoveries combined with unsourced handwriting, unsourced objects, and unestablished motive on the part of the parents provide a rational argument for intruder. Statements of fact that the handwriting and objects are sourced, or that JBR was previously abused, are inarguably unfounded.

There is no IDI theory that coherently explains all the crime-scene evidence. Mostly its we have found some male touch-dna so there was an intruder. But you are not told what other touch-dna was found and where, since this would weaken the intruder claim.

I reckon any fair minded person reviewing this case, checking the crime-scene evidence would opt for an RDI. Although they might not know which one.

I reckon its a sexually motivated homicide so my money is on one of the males.

IMO the evidence points in one direction, even years later it appears this evident, and this is without access to all the forensic evidence.

For me the mystery is not who did it, but how they got away with it, despite a landslide of evidence.

I'm still awaiting the book that covers this aspect in detail including any conspiracy theory?
