Brainstorming Ron's flurry of phone calls

  • #61
Perhaps we need to find out whether or not the company allows an employee to make personal phone calls or send text messages while operating heavy equipment or any other variety of jobs during his active work shift. Again, unless of course it is being down during his break or lunch time.

I wonder. Let's assume for a minute that Ron was concerned about the security of the kids (I am saying "security" because I mean having an adult in the house, doors locked, etc.) Misty has just been on a binge. She was involved with some unsavory people in the use of drugs. And it is worth considering that Misty and/or Ron were likely involved in drug sales at one level or another, adding another layer to the contacts with unsavory people.

He may also have known that Misty didn't want to babysit and of course he knew that she had just gone off on a bender that weekend. So he's frantic, not just because he can't contact Misty, but that if she's not answering, she could either be gone or there might have been people allowed into the house that could have hurt the kids. I can't quite square up the frantic calls with stopping for beer on the way home. Hmmm.

If Ron was just having a phone fight he would have come straight home to finish the fight with Misty. There would have been no stopping by the store to get beer and peanuts. However, if he had to be sure that Misty showed up to babysit so that she would be at the house when 911 was called and if he had to make sure that someone took care of disposing of Haleigh and that the MH was cleaned out of any drugs, and if someone at his MH was there staging the scene, someone was making sure that Jr. was at the MH and the entire coverup operation had indeed been carried out, then yes, he would have stayed away from the Mh until he was signaled that it was AOK to stop by the store as if everything was normal and then to just mosey on home (in no hurry) just in time to discover that Haleigh was missing and to get the 911 call made.

well 90 calls would be consistent with someone in a panic to find out something, someone with a deep concern......we were told he called Misty 20 times and we know he called Tommy at least once....Im guessing he called AS at least once to ask her to check on the kids allegedly....what I think is probably more critical to know is the order of the calls and who was first....I dont believe rons story of a fight explaining the calls to misty.....he never offered up the calls until confronted by LE with records.....How many times did ron call TN and AS...and when

We know he called Annette at least once and she didn't answer (from an interview. Can't recall if it was Annette talking or Teresa, but it seems like it was Annette.)

We never did hear how Annette finally heard Haleigh had vanished.

This kind of info. just makes it even more impossible to believe RC from one of the first interviews where he claimed that MC called him as he was getting into the neighborhood and he didn't answer because he was almost home. If someone returns your call after 20 calls (or 90 calls) you just don't NOT ANSWER!

I still think that Ron had more than one phone. Maybe one phone pinged twice at the plant and another phone had the multitude of calls on it. Maybe when LE started digging they found out that Ron had more that one phone and they tracked the second phone down per Teresa's phone records since it has been commented that Teresa had Ron and Misty's a phone on her plan. This may be why it appears so strange that only two pings were found for a phone that Ron had at work, but then later on we hear about the multitude of calls that were made that night.:waitasec:

I have the suspicion that the call that Misty made to Ron was a signal to let him know it was time for him to show up at the MH.

Well, just quoting my thirty years of experience in working in power plants, chemical companies, manufacturing plants, fabrication plants, etc. that making personal phone calls are not allowed. Some plants don't allow any cell phones within proximity of the control rooms.

I have a big ? question about that comment. I'll have to see if LE confirms this before I believe that all 90? calls were to Misty. We already have people saying that Ron called them: Tommy, GGMS and I would be that there was also Teresa too.

While he stayed in the background, out of the picture, having other people do his dirty work. Typical RC.

Exactly, Lex. Unfortunately, this has been his pattern, so many people have been hurt...damaged - forever. I used to have some sympathy for him. I tried very hard to keep that feeling (his upbringing, or lack thereof, his education, et al), but everything is gone now. He has shown his true colors and they are the worst ever. Anger management was needed for him a long time ago, maybe one of the women in his life could have recognized that and reported it (especially HC's mother).

Yeah, I can't either. Nor can I add up getting down on one knee and asking that same person to marry him less than a month later.

I worked in a warehouse through parts of college..no cell phones then..but one sibling has worked in a plant for decades...sometimes he can talk at will on his cell phone...sometimes he can't..but the volume of calls and the peanut stop make no sense....There is no mystery to me anyway, why Ron is being held on $900K bail--we've all seen much lower amounts...something is up and LE knows and we don't!

I remember it being Annette too. She said that Ron had called earlier but she did not pick it up.

Could this have been a combination of Ron and Teresa's records calling Misty that night? If they were all on the same plan?

90 calls is a lot. That is someone who is punching the number over and over. IMO, no way would Ron drive 6 miles past his house and casually waltz in to the Kangaroo to buy a beer and peanuts if had been frantically trying to reach Misty that night.

That's what I'm talking about. I posted a few days ago that if video has Ron on it at PDM it would have had to had him with the phone up to his ear nearly the entire time he was suppose to be at work because he had to have called continuously to have that many calls during work hours. Someone had to have seen him on that phone at work, if he was visible.

If you add phones to your plan for family members each phone still has its own phone number.

I think he knew it was safe to come home and was getting ready for the 911 call, wonder if the beer and peanuts where gone by the time LE showed up.....a man looking for his lost or missing child would not be eating peanuts and drinking beer

IIRC...We learned many months ago from an email that was sent to a websleuths poster that Ron was working in what is referred to at PDM as the North 40 that night.. I gathered from the email this area is located outside the plant in an area that is NOT well lighted and does not have alot of supervision...Also IIRC the poster that posted the email received permission from the mod to do so...I'm certain this can be verified...JMO

IDK about that LT...*IF* he was there...he could have been out in the yard and no one would be the wiser...BUT...that PDM and its employees have been silent...well, they must be working closely with LE...very odd, to me that NO ONE has talked....I am finally trusting LE again...these busts are bs and small in the scope of what we have seen in PC booking logs...yet the bonds aren't...:waitasec:

I agree, but I can imagine Ron having a complete meltdown following Haleigh's death and the aftermath, cleanup and not being there and wanting a play by play on what is happening. I can totally see Misty being instructed to turn her phone off while all the coverup was being implemented. JMO.
