Although the newly passed Federal Katie's Law has passed, there are a few states that have yet to pass it. The Federal Law only provides the Fund$ for the remaining states to pass and implement it...
Imo, the amazing amount of awareness created by the Mickey Shunick Team across the USA was instrumental in the passing of the Federal Katie's DNA Law...

I have to go out for awhile, but I've set up the DVR to record it so I can watch later. From what I've seen of the previews, the coverage looks good.

I drove by Mickey's ghost bike today. It's right off of the Lafayette Mardi Gras the parade route. People had hung Mardi Gras beads all over Mickey's bike, celebrating Mardi Gras & her memory. It was beautiful- white bike covered in pearly beads of all different colors. Made me feel like Mickey's spirit is around celebrating with the community during Mardi Gras season.

And BSL sits in jail writing these ridiculous motions. I'm glad he's miserable.

He may have killed Mickey but he didn't win the battle in his truck that night. Mickey did. Happy Mardi Gras, Mickey.
