Can I just say that this female anchor on MSNBC is stupid? She has made 3-4 of the stupidest comments I have ever heard in my life in the last 5 minutes. The guy she's talking to at the courthouse commented on how busy things were there, and she says, "Well, from looking at the ceiling shot we have, it doesn't look busy." :waitasec: Then she asked the guy if it was highly unusual for people to waive their extraditions at the LA courthouse. Huh??? Before all that she asked the man, who had reported on the glass cage being brought in for Karr, if he was ready to be featured on Jon Stewart's show on Comedy Central tonight talking about the glass box.

I'm turning it back to Fox, Bill Hemmer is better to look at anyway. :crazy:

Rita Cosby, just said that DA Lacy had claimed that Karr had made statements regarding the body that only a killer would know. Cosby says that since that comment Lacy's investigators have found similar statements on pedophile websites and that she is now retracting on that comment.

Never too early to check those pedophile websites for comments. This is verging on becoing a very large fiasco. This could certainly enhance the Boulder LE reputation for shoddy work.

Hi Calus, I do not think it was ever about the confession. In fact I think that Lacy would have perfered that the "media confession" would have never happened.


I think she felt she had something on him, and wanted to investigate further, so they went to Thailand and got him. Then he opened up his mouth and in that opening appeared not a credible suspect. But that really means nothing if there is evidence that ties him to the case. (DNA, prints, airline tickets placing him there etc...)

I will however be completely shocked if the DA has such evidence.

Karr was asked if he understood that by waiving extradition he could be immediately transfered to CO authorities. He affirmed his understanding of both the charges and the procedure at this point. Karr spoke quietly to the atty representing him in the court room he appeared to be asking her a question. They were both asked to step outside to another location to continue their discussion.


It is over, and now it is a matter of when he will leave for CO.

Am I correct in assuming that JMK will have to be arraigned in CO, to be formally charged with murder, kidnapping and sexual assault on a minor. The warrant is an arrest on suspicion of these charges, is it not?? If so, the CO DA still has time to decide on whether to formally file these charges against JMK? In the meantime, the DNA test will come back. If negative, it then becomes iffy that the DA will follow through on the charges.

Rita needs to watch Fox, she is only just now reporting on the pictures of the Karr boys and family from 1996...still no JMK in any pictures.

Obviously, that was not good news for the defense. At the same time, his absence in 1996 family photos reinforces the D.A.'s belief that Karr is likely the murderer.

Moreover, yesterday, the D.A,.s team spent the day with Karr family members, and if Karr was found in Xmas photos from say 1994, 1995, 1997, 1998 but was absent in 1996, then the D.A. will use his absence in 1996 as yet another piece of circumstantial evidence that favors Karr murdered Jon Benet.

We believe that he will be removed forthwith from the jurisdiction.

The so called confession are actually sound bites from the media.

Harmon will be advising him in some capacity at this point but they do not know in what capacity, and they plan to accompany him to CO.

We do not know if charges have been filed but the judge said that they actually have been.

He wants to go to CO now!!!
Mr. Karr has been portrayed as unwell and he is none of those things, and he wishes to go and answer these charges in order to be portrayed in a more comnplete light.
