Here's some news.

Karr's father and brother are shopping out the movie rights to earn money to pay for a good defense lawyer for him and college for his sons.

They hired author, actor and producer Larry Garrison to represent them in the media deals.

I believe JR told police something to the effect of "I put JBR to bed and read." The police assumed he meant "read to JBR," but JR later said he just meant he read a book (to himself) for awhile after tucking in JBR.

I don't know if it is true, but it's not an unresonable explanation, IMHO.
Three different police officers - Officer French, Detective Arndt, and Sergeant Reichenbach - all heard John say that he read JB a book, and he told each one separately.

Later he said he had been misunderstood, and what he said was he read A book, not read HER a book.

In order for that to be right, all three of those officers would have had to have heard him wrong.

I don't think so. John Ramsey changed his story. Patsy also changed her story. Originally she had said she tucked JB in and sang to her, then later she changed to she sang to her while she was asleep. I doubt it. They had had a long day, they needed to get up early in the morning, and Patsy still had packing to do. It isn't very likely that she's going to stand there and sing to a sleeping child when she still has stuff to do.

On top of that, Burke testified later on that JonBenet had been awake when the family arrived home, and walked in the house and up the staircase in front of their mother.

This is the breaking news thread. Not the RDI and bringing up old news that has little to no merit.

Then there is Karr's story according to Wendy(?) the woman who has tapes of his conversations with her: that he waited until Patsy was finished reading her a bedtime story, was asleep and Patsy had gone to bed and then he went into her room.

Forgive me if someone else has posted this:

On cbs5.com, there is a breaking news alert ~ Patience VanZant and Jamie Harmon are having a 5:30pm PT news conference to announce "significant developments" in the case.

Wudge: Where is the proof that he even Knew Jon Benet before she was murdered? There is no proof Karr was even in Colo either on the 23rd *party* or on the 26th *JBR Murder*.And the SBTC could mean anything to anyone.I found SBTC on the net for Southern Baptist Church texas.

I didn't see this posted yet but,

'E' interviewed an old neighbor of Karr's, the story goes, the 'E' stated JMK was not in Boulder, definetly in AL.

Neighbor said, Karr helped her move around 12/25/96, she saw him on the 24th, 25th, and the 26th, right in Alabammy!

Maybe this will be in their next tabloid :p

Sorry, if this is old news :)

Hmmmm, either he has been moved, one or both of them will represent him, he's going to plead guilty, DNA is not a match, no charges will be filed for the murder, DNA does match and he and Patsy have the same markers, he's confessed to the Lindbergh kidnapping, Wendy Hutchins is now missing, Michael Tracey is now missing.....I give up. What could that be about?

I just looked at it again (actually I was looking for a verdict in the Dyleski case!) and it said the news conference is "significant developments" related to his 2001 child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 charges.

VanZandt is not his defense attorney for the charges in Boulder; she does represent him on the child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 charges in California.

Thanks panthera. I wonder what these "significant developments" are. Maybe Boulder isn't going to bring him back? My brain is melting.

But People Magazine on Wednesday quoted Karr as telling Thai
authorities while in their custody; "The DNA might not match, but you
can't trust the test."

(in other words he is going to be frustrated if he knows he did it, yet the dna is too degraded to match and he doesn't get the credit!)

Karr reportedly told the unnamed Thai officials he was alone when
JonBenet was killed. Asked whether her death was brutal, he replied;
"It's not what that seemed to be."

(What a shame they didn't videotape, or transcribe all those converstions with him in Thailand since he was talking so freely and since they have admitted misquoting him before.)

OK, disregard my last post. I have no clue what this could be.

I know that. At one time, I *heard* one or both of them were going to inquire about being accepted in CO to represent him there, but that was early on.

I edited my post to explain: it's obvious Karr is very insistent on getting the credit for being there if he was there! And frustrated if the dna is too degraded to prove he was there.

Patiience Van Zandt was with the Sonoma County Public Defender's office in 2001, and she did represent JMK, in 2001, on the child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 charges. Harmon & Associates, San Jose, CA, where Patience Van Zandt currently works, are "Advisors" to JMK and were going to accompany him to CO. Janie/Jamie Harmon, may in fact, end up representing JMK in CA. I'm still holding out for GA (chuckle) representing JMK, as agent, on the book and movie deals. She's a woman, he's half woman.

It means he's lying about everything.

He knows the DNA won't match, but still wants to be the center of attention as the killer. What a doofus. I can't believe he's playing the media, LE and so many posters on this board like a squeezebox!
