I had to leave the house for two hours so I missed anything urgent that broke in that time (haven't seen Karr getting on the plane or anything) but, the last few posts made me think of possible evidence he might have. Remember, Tracey and Karr exchanged some things by post, not all email. What if Karr had souvenirs of the JBR killing. What if he had one of the practice pages of the ransom note. Or a lock of her hair. Anything that could be proved to be hers. Anything at all - this would be something we never heard about, even if every photo and detail of the crime scene and autopsy has been spread on the internet for years.
I'm sure his defenders could say he knew the real killer and obtained these items. Whatever. Defenders, and family, will say anything.
I can't help thinking of cases where the wrong man was convicted and the right man was set free due to clever lawyers, incompetent lawyers, and other factors. This could go either way. That is why I am compelled to follow it. This case is compelling simply because of the weird behaviour of everyone involved in it, and the mysteries caused by the clever crime scene staging.
Seems you have to be peculiar, obsessive, outspoken, rash or quirky to get involved in this case. Those 2 female lawyers fit the bill. But in a news story I just saw, he said he did not hire them but was going to have a public defender. Then I see that many high profile lawyers are offering their services for free just for the publicity and fame and thrill of it. It's a circus now and will become even more of a three ring circus, but at least, in the midst of it there will be more and more info coming out every day.
The worst new thing in the press today is his comment to the landlord in S. America that he was "sexually like a wolf" and "liked small females" i.e. little girls. He's been talking like a madman all along, but nothing could be pieced together to put him away. And that the guy suspected he was a pedophile yet couldn't find him on the internet... interesting since we found the usenet postings in his Powerwurks crock, within a few minutes of learning his name. Maybe he used a fake name in Costa Rica but then, in every other story he's been using his real name all along.
PS I just saw the footage of him by the little plane to Colorado and he is wearing the same dark pink/light red/burgundy/maroon (variously described as all those colours) short sleeved dress shirt he wore on the plane from Thailand. How anyone could mistake it for an orange jumpsuit, I don't know. It's not rocket science to recognize that shirt.
