Everyone keeps saying he had on an orange jumpsuit, but to me it looked like the red shirt (sans tie) and black pants he had on in his trip from Thailand?

ETA, I don't remember the orange jumpsuit during his hearing having a collar.
Glad you caught that too!! He DID have on the red shirt and black pants he wore from Thailand. I couldn't understand why he'd still have a L.A. County Jail suit on when he's in Colorado custody!

I have CTTV on, but I missed it, reading here. You could never get me on that 'small' plane!

OK going down the runway---Liftoff!
They're going to be up in the air for three hours ~ one more than if they'd used a commercial jet, but a lot less trouble to the flying public! Don't think he'll have any king prawns or champagne now either.

Yes, they claim they only discovered this "secret" stuff a few weeks ago. Hmm.
They have to keep it under wraps, as they (BDA'office) have a lot of people to interview, and they do not want to taint people's memories.
ok

Right, because seeing him on the news 24/7 isn't going to do that.

I've been on commuter airline turbo-prop aircraft, but not for three hours! It is a lot different than being on a jet, and for the sake of the LE officers onboard, let's hope he doesn't get airsick!!

I don't see where it is said that the authorities only discovered "secret" stuff a few weeks ago. They were corresponding with Karr (who thought he was talking to Patsy). We don't know what was written by Karr to them or by Karr to Tracey.

This is what Nagel said:

Nagel said that despite thousands of articles and books about the slaying, "most of the evidence in the affidavit has not been disclosed, nor has the media developed it independently."

I believe we don't know everything there is to know about JonBenet's murder. There's quite a bit of information that is out in the public arena but do you really think we are privy to every detail?

What I'd like to see are the emails from Tracey to Karr. Especially starting right after his last "suspect" fell through.

So wait....what you are telling me is that there is evidence that I haven't heard of? Preposterous.

I have heard of everything. Therefore, there can be nothing that is out there that I haven't heard of. Didn't you get the memo?

I swear, the following is the argument that you hear over and over by the talking heads out there:

"I have not been made aware of any secretive evidence that was withheld from the press and the public. Therefore, there can be none because if there were, I would know what it is. The mere fact that I don't know what it is proves that there is not such evidence".

But wait, doesn't the mere designation as being secret mean that you don't know about it?

Flew one from Ft. Lauderdale to Marsh Harbor Bahamas and you are right.

I have never taken off sideways before, but it was an experience....that I can tell you.

Attorneys battle over representing Karr

ATLANTA - Three dozen lawyers have offered to represent John Mark Karr — for free in many cases — against allegations he killed 6-year-old beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey.

The tug-of-war among defense attorneys over one of the biggest criminal cases in recent years, one that has stoked interest because of perceived flaws in the prosecution's case, raises questions about ethics and who has Karr's best interests in mind.

"There's something inherently wrong in hiring a lawyer who is volunteering to do it for publicity," said Connecticut attorney Mickey Sherman, whose high-profile clients include Kennedy cousin Michael Skakel.

Two California attorneys say they have been retained to represent Karr, but another who was with him at his only court hearing in the case so far says Karr wants a Colorado public defender.

Larry Garrison, a producer Karr's family hired to ferret out book and movie deals, says they want a big-time lawyer for the job. Some three dozen lawyers from around the country have already offered their services, many at no cost, he said Thursday.

"There are some people that are ambulance chasers, there are other people that legitimately want to help," Garrison said.

Garrison, sounding exhausted, said he hasn't returned any of the calls or e-mails from lawyers.

"To be honest, it's a blur right now," he said.

Defense lawyers say there is no rush for Karr to make up his mind on who will defend him, since the early hearings in the case are mostly perfunctory, and it would probably be better for a public defender in Boulder, Colo., who is familiar with the legal system there to handle matters for now.

Colorado picks up its JonBenet suspect
Prosecutors fight to keep arrest affidavit under seal

BOULDER, Colorado (CNN) -- JonBenet Ramsey slaying suspect John Mark Karr was on his way to Colorado on Thursday afternoon.

Karr was handcuffed and placed aboard a waiting Beechcraft twin engine tubroprop airplane registered to the state of Colorado.

Karr was driven by sheriff's deputies onto the tarmac at Long Beach airport and the plane took off at about 4:05 p.m. ET. According to the flight plan, Karr will arrive at the municipal airport in Boulder at about 6:45 p.m.

In another development, prosecutors revealed in court papers that investigators learned Karr's identity just five days before he was arrested in Bangkok, Thailand.

The evidence against Karr was "only developed recently," prosecutors said, arguing to keep an affidavit detailing that evidence under seal.

The investigation "is in its very early stages," prosecutors said. Among the work that remains to be done, the motion said, are many witness interviews.

Karr, a 41-year-old schoolteacher, is being held on suspicion of murder, kidnapping and sexual assault of a child in connection with the slaying of the 6-year-old beauty pageant competitor.

"It is crucial that people we interview provide information that is as accurate as possible, unaffected by influences other than their own resources and their best recollections," prosecutor William F. Nagel wrote.

Haha I love it I love it I loveit!
The only reason people are afraid to admit that there is obviously evidence out there that we aren't privy to, is because they'll have to admit that they don't know all there is to know aboyut the JBR murder. Some people have made this their life after all.

Actaully Im questioning it because Investigators that worked the case 10 years ago have been on television saying they cant think of any evidence that isnt in the public domain. These were the actual folks active on the case during the primary investigation. So ya I question the possibility of hidden or secret evidence.

I had to leave the house for two hours so I missed anything urgent that broke in that time (haven't seen Karr getting on the plane or anything) but, the last few posts made me think of possible evidence he might have. Remember, Tracey and Karr exchanged some things by post, not all email. What if Karr had souvenirs of the JBR killing. What if he had one of the practice pages of the ransom note. Or a lock of her hair. Anything that could be proved to be hers. Anything at all - this would be something we never heard about, even if every photo and detail of the crime scene and autopsy has been spread on the internet for years.

I'm sure his defenders could say he knew the real killer and obtained these items. Whatever. Defenders, and family, will say anything.

I can't help thinking of cases where the wrong man was convicted and the right man was set free due to clever lawyers, incompetent lawyers, and other factors. This could go either way. That is why I am compelled to follow it. This case is compelling simply because of the weird behaviour of everyone involved in it, and the mysteries caused by the clever crime scene staging.

Seems you have to be peculiar, obsessive, outspoken, rash or quirky to get involved in this case. Those 2 female lawyers fit the bill. But in a news story I just saw, he said he did not hire them but was going to have a public defender. Then I see that many high profile lawyers are offering their services for free just for the publicity and fame and thrill of it. It's a circus now and will become even more of a three ring circus, but at least, in the midst of it there will be more and more info coming out every day.

The worst new thing in the press today is his comment to the landlord in S. America that he was "sexually like a wolf" and "liked small females" i.e. little girls. He's been talking like a madman all along, but nothing could be pieced together to put him away. And that the guy suspected he was a pedophile yet couldn't find him on the internet... interesting since we found the usenet postings in his Powerwurks crock, within a few minutes of learning his name. Maybe he used a fake name in Costa Rica but then, in every other story he's been using his real name all along.

PS I just saw the footage of him by the little plane to Colorado and he is wearing the same dark pink/light red/burgundy/maroon (variously described as all those colours) short sleeved dress shirt he wore on the plane from Thailand. How anyone could mistake it for an orange jumpsuit, I don't know. It's not rocket science to recognize that shirt.

I agree with Mickey Sherman and I think that is exactly what Harmon & Vanzandt are doing. I heard today that they will have a difficult time getting inside the courtroom (fees, applications, etc) and still need a Colorado attorney present there. And their press conferences ~ I wouldn't want them representing me!

<<It's a circus now and will become even more of a three ring circus>>

This case was always a circus, not just now.
This will eventually die down, Karr will be seen for what he really is, a pathetic liar that has serious head problems.
Karr did not kill JonBenet.
