LOL I just saw him on a news clip very late last night - somewhat tall and lean, bronzed with blondish hair that slightly wisps up in feathery curls around his face! I could see him being a big skier. He looked very bussiness like in his taupe summer suit, and carried a fresh smile as he walked out the jailhouse doors. Almost like it was a gentleman's way of saying, YES! And now he's just going to Do it. LOL

I still think the Public Defender will team with a name attorney, with the name attorney taking the lead. i think this would be a good combination.
Let the public defender become a "name attorney" through this case! He can probably handle it just fine without someone grandstanding for the media.
;)

I posted a while back about the interview Rita had this am on MSNBC with Wendy Nichols the high school friend of JMK, not the other Wendy in CA. Seems the two are being confused on this thread. Can someone help me out, did you see the high school Wendy (Nichols) say that JMK said "I did it" during her interview with Rita? Just wondering

I didn't see the interview earlier today but just now saw a rerun of the clip with Rita Cosby interviewing the classmate Wendy Nichols. Nichols did indeed say that JMKarr told her "I did it".

Thank God he got rid of those two lawyers. Look like Boulder is going to buckle down on this case and keep it lip tight.

This will be one interesting show

I don't think so Panthera, just too much of a high profile case for a Deputy Public Defender. Scandi and I are hoping Gerry Spence will step in.

"said Seth Temin, head of the Boulder office of the Colorado Public Defender."

What I'm hearing from Court tv (while waiting for a verdict in the Dyleski case!) is that Ms. Harmon hadn't even arrived in Colorado yet. Seems like she's out of the loop before she even gets there. There was a video of the new public defender (good looking man!) as he was leaving the jail last night and he stated what I posted.
:D

UPDATE The public defender's name is Seth Temin.

Rita Crosby just said that another team member has been added by the name of Steve Jacobson. Looks like they are getting all of the ducks in a row and they have weeded out the team of Harmon and vanZandt. I haven't heard anything about them so far today but I am in and out.

Brother: Karr Didn't Kill JonBenet

John Mark Karr's brother insisted Friday that Karr did not kill JonBenet Ramsey. "Absolutely not. Emphatically. Without a doubt," Nate Karr said in a television interview.
Karr told ABC's "Good Morning America" he was certain his brother spent Christmas 1996, when JonBenet was slain, with his family.

Addressing his brother, Nate Karr said: "We love you and we support you 100 percent. ... Help's on the way."

This article does not sound as 'certain'... Note the 'almost positive' tone rather than the 'absolutely sure'. Any decent lawyer will rip these inconsistancies to shreds, IMO.

Oooh, two men!! What does Steve Jacobson look like? :D Seriously, I am so glad to see those two women out of the picture. They were just too unprofessional.

HEE HEE HEE! That one got me too Anita. At first I thought, well Fiona was pretty, I didn't realize they meant the 'ogrerized' version. I have not seen any o of the tv stuff with her in it....been too busy.

The public defender assigned to represent Karr took the unusual step Friday of asking the court to seal Karr's handwritten application for a public-funded lawyer.

Commentators have suggested that Karr's handwriting in a yearbook from his hometown resembles the writing on a ransom note found in the Ramsey home.

Without referring specifically to this speculation, deputy public defender Seth Temin told the court in a filing that he "is without sufficient knowledge about all the facts of the case to be able to evaluate the prejudice that may be associated with the release of any of the defendant's handwriting."

Sounds like his public defender is off and running with this. According to Rita Cosby, Jacobsen is/was a DNA expert. No link for that though. Also, Temin has filed notice to seal JMK's 'written' application declaring indigent circumstances and request of public defender. Reasoning is that because handwriting more than likely will be an issue in this case, they didn't want yet another 'sample' out there.

:Swoon!: Scandi, do you write novels that feature that long-haired, romance novel model? (I can't remember his name right now.) If not, you SHOULD! You are very good, sister!
