Well,if you do not think they would actually fabricate evidence, then why would they fabricate "smears" against the McCanns? And how could they? What lies and smears does the official account contain?

And what did they actually fabricate? The cadaver dog did make multiple hits. The blood odor dog did as well. The hits were in the apartment, the car and key, Kate's clothes, the toy. The dog handlers were there to corroborate the account.

The space in the area where Jane Tanner said she saw a man carrying a child, was relatively small, and the other three men testified they did not see that man.

No one saw Madeleine outside of the family after 5:30 p.m. until Kate said she was missing later.

Mrs. Fenn's testimony contradicted that of the McCanns' saying their daily routine was to check on the children every thirty minutes.

Several people had access to the car where the cadaver dog made the hit.

The window was too small to pass a child through, an intruder if real, would have to leave through the front door.

They listed all of the times the diners said they made checks, and those accounts seem to be undisputed by the diners themselves.

So what's to argue with the report? It is what it is.

Oh you bet your sweet A$$ they will NOT answer any questions. It will go from the secrecy laws to their "PI's" request that they can't talk about it. They will NOT comment to anything that makes them look like monsters.

well Barnaby - I wouldnt like to live in a world like that - I want to live in world with laws and not the rule of the press -

If ever I found myself on the other side of the law ( god forbid ) then I would expect to be treated fairly under the rules of the law of the land and judged on that .

The day we allow the press to " hound " people who have been through the due process is the day I would never like to see .

I rather think if you thought about exactly what this would be like then maybe you would not be so quick to want to have trial by press.

You cant have exeptions - You cant pick and choose who is allowed to be treated fairly by the law and then those who deserves to be hounded by journalists and papers

That saying - law is not perfect - it sometimes does make mistakes - but that is the system that all fair minded people live in .

That is what we have - at least here in the UK - a system that allows everyone their due rights to be treated fairly under the eyes of the law .

I know you dont like what has happened - but again that is why we appoint judges and courts - to make decisions on our behalf away from all the hype and glare -

When two people are given the gift of a precious child they are bound by laws of the land, laws of God, if they believe in God & the McCanns claim that they do, by the laws of Human Rights & by the laws of basic decency to look after that child & protect him/her! The McCanns knowlingly, woefully & wilfully neglected this basic right of any child & she suffered! Was that fair treatment of a 3 year old?

When asked by the police to cooperate in helping to find her, they refused, they lied & witheld information, was that fair?

They courted the Press from day one, using & trying to manipulate the public with their lies, was that fair? They accepted celebrity status with their private jets etc. You know what they say about the celebs? They put themselves out there, they cannot pick & choose when they will use the Media!

I am not in favour of people being hounded by the Press as happened to poor Princess Diana, people like her certainly did not deserve it. When she left home her children were well looked after!

Bottom line, we need clarification on the lies that the McCanns have told & personally I don't give a fiddler's damn how we get that, not that I think we ever will unless someone in that torrid group tells the truth! I care as much about their treatment as they cared about Madeleine!

If the McCanns were innocent there was no need for lies & no need to hide phone records unless hiding a very big secret which would impact against them!

The McCanns have not been through the due process as I see it, they got off on lack of evidence not NO evidence. Due process would have been for them to be charged & tried before a judge & jury! They most certainly should have been charged with neglect but I have a funny feeling that police are waiting for the bigger charge! The case is not closed, it can be reopened at anytime. I pray for justice for Madeleine that time will not be too far away! I also pray that someone will have the guts to ask the questions!

The Jonbenet Ramsey case is still unsolved, even if the parents walked free. It is still unknown what their role was, and one drop of blood from an unknown person doesn't clear the parents of everything.

The McCanns shouldn't celebrate yet.

it was NOT a drop of blood FROM an unknown person - the blood for JonBenet's - and it was COMBINED with an unknown "sneeze" dna particle!! With only 7 to 9 markers on that unknown...

Charges may not be pressed against the McCanns, but the McCanns are not innocent. By their own admissions and actions they put Maddie in harm's way. They fail to take responsibility for that, they fail to acknowledge it. But let me make it CLEAR - the McCanns are NOT innocent in this.

It is unfortunate they will not be held responsible for the part they played in whatever happened to Maddie. AND NO I DO NOT THINK IT IS ENOUGH that they will have to live with thier error every day. We know that Maddied cried for them one night, both Kate and Gerry told us so and they turned a deaf ear and a blind eye to their daughter's (and son's) pain and fear. They are not innocent.

These people, for all accounts and purposes, have brains yet expect us to believe they are stupid. No, they are not cleared, at least not by me, not that that means anything. I firmly believe that the McCanns did something to Maddie, besides leaving her alone and in harm's way and I firmly believe that the time will come when the McCanns will have to acknowledge what they did and why. Someday Maddie will be found or new evidence will appear, or one of the Tapas liars will see their way clear to tell the truth.

I don't understand how a person can live with themself, knowing they are harboring a neglectful parent or worse.......

The trouble is, see . . . she was their daughter and their responsibility. None of this would have happened if not for their actions. It's not the fault of the police, the media, or anyone who questions the McCanns. They are still guilty of neglect because they are the parents, and that is not an "innocent" thing.

That's a fact, and has nothing to do with personalities or whether the McCanns are attractive or likable.
