Bring Them Home Now EXCLUSIVE SHAWN ADKINS SPEAKS OUT March 3rd 2011

Thanks - I didn't hear SA's interview last night. So he said DD got a new XBox and gave SA the old one? Interesting.

You don't need a new XBox for Kinect. This from XBox'x site:

Kinect removes the last barrier between you and the experiences you love. Best of all, when Kinect arrives this November, it will work with every Xbox 360 console.*

Easily hook up with friends with Video Kinect, no headset required**
Sign into your profile by just stepping in front of the sensor
Kinect games give you the freedom to jump, duck, and spin your way through a unique adventure.
Kinect uses cutting-edge technology to provide a whole new way to play
Kinect Adventures included.
*175 MB of memory required.

**Xbox LIVE Gold membership required.

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/Xbox360/Accessories/Kinect/kinectforxbox360

Notice it states you have to have an XBox LIVE Gold membership - that also means you have to have internet access in the home - which BD claims she didn't.
xbox live is only required if you want to connect with friends.... from experience and referring to the ** above ..... fwiw

the aggravating thing is so far we are yet to prove if billie had a connection or not imo

CJ is best friends with BD's mother.
that might explain the frustration and click and "call billie" after the maddening question.....

Oriah I think Shawn was playing with the interviewers to be totally honest. Like a Cat playing with a mouse. Half of what he said was distration in my opinion.

I do recall him saying the creek was his quiet place to go. But he hasn't been there in a long while. But it was across from his grandmother's home. I haven't looked at the property is there also a cemetery in there?

Thanks, grandmaj. I logged the entire thing just to see what would come out of anyone's mouth, lol- not in any way expecting him to produce anything useful; however, that one comment caught my attention because of the SAR thread. There are quite a few cemeteries in the area. Quite a few with creeks. Some on private property, some not. And since he seemed certain that HD could not be located in THAT one, I wondered if he knew which ones she possibly could be located in. Also, I was wondering if he realized quite how much information about his 'special spots' was floating around out there; if he realized that sometimes what people DON'T say is more effective than what they DO say....and that areas may have been searched without his knowledge. :innocent:

SA also had a laptop. We've heard nothing about what was found on that. If all that nasty stuff was his - wouldn't there have been some of it on his laptop?

I'm still very curious about this Kinect and XBox over Xmas. The link I posted above says you MUST HAVE an XBox Live account to use it. In order to have an XBox Live account you MUST HAVE internet access as well.

BD has repeatedly said there was no internet access in the home. We've talked about "tethering" the new fancy phones in order to get internet. While you can do that - you can't tether an XBox. My son, who has had an XBox Live account since day one told me there is no way you could tether a phone to an XBox. While physically you might be able to "plug it in" there wouldn't be sufficient band width to run an XBox Live account.

So, IF DD got a Kinect for Xmas (and possibly a new XBox console) and IF BD or anyone else says they were playing with the Kinect present around Xmas - HOW were they getting internet access?

It could have possibly been "hijacked" from another signal nearby. You can buy a "wireless adapter" for and XBox. I bought one - DS tried it but really didn't like it and said it didn't work as well as it should - and we had our own internet access in the home.

I want to hear about SA's laptop and what was on it.

Is the family land in Dunn, or Big Spring?

Yes and no. You have to "connect" to XBox Live in order for your console to access the drivers needed to play Kinect. While you might want to connect with friends - those Kinect drivers are needed by the system to run it.

So, in order to play Kinect an internet connection is needed so your console has access to the drivers.

imo billie and SA both have conflicting reports of the child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and the memory stick and who knew, what it is ,who told who and how it got there etc...

unless its me, did anyone get resolution to the truth behind the memory stick??? :waitasec:

imo they have done nothing but purposely talk in circles about it to confuse the situation even more...

it would be interesting to compare their answers in a list, maybe after more coffee

I haven't listened to the interview a second time and didn't know that. I wonder if the hosts were told by LE to get rid of that part of the interview?
Appreciate the transcripts very much; thank you!

That's certainly interesting. Wonder why? He said he went there to fish as a child, after saying his fav fishing experiment, er, experience was when he went deep sea fishing. When ask about his special place as child he said the creek also, because it was (paraphrasing) pristine...untouched. This certainly sounds the opposite of ugly dirt.

IMO, it wouldn't hurt to look at that area again. This kid likes to play head games and thinks he's clever.

Too.. lynnb posted the link to the boat add. The caller said he traced back phone numbers to the family. I also wonder if the man talking to Cory in one of his videos displaying the many guns was the uncle?

Why is the Grand Jury being convened in Howard County (and Scurry) if the cporn computer is in Dunn?

I respectfully disagree ... if you refer to your post there are 2 ** near the connect with friends and 2 ** near "xbox live is required" referring to the previous.

You are correct that you need internet to access xbox live, but it is not needed for kinect as my son does not have xbox live at his grandmas and that is where his kinect is.... and it is on an older xbox.... He has xbox live here at home.

Now I do tend to believe that billie did have internet due to the fact that most teens dont even bother to have xbox unless they have live, or they would just be playing ps or wii or such... xbox is mainly a more expensive gaming choice due to the live feature.....

I also feel that he got a new xbox because alot of the new kinects came as a package deal with a xbox slim with a way bigger hard drive....

jmo

eta: I do not believe xbox live can be played by hijacking connectionn....it requires waaaaay to much strength that the highest fastest speed service is required for a proper connection....imo

billie had wifi imo

from what I understand the search could be seen from his grandmothers home. Where he was staying.

I remember the searchers saying he was watching them search from the porch. Several of them wanted to confront him, IIRC.

The mom's computer was in Big Springs (Howard). The stick and disc were in CC (Mitchell). I'm going to now go check a county map....if wrong...I'll be back.

Nothing was located in Scurry county....having to do with 🤬🤬🤬🤬, IIRC.

this brought me to think this: what if he mentioned this spot because it is close to where HD might be...he said it to get to Billie, it was a message to her not to mess with him or do him wrong or something?

The Stick and disc were in Colorado City which is Mitchell County.

I don't know about XBOX, but my PS3 even if I didn't have internet, but my neighbor has my PS3 could pick up a connection off of neighbors. Many people who might have a router doesn't have it password protected. You need to have a little computer savvy to set that up.

I'm curious about the I only kill rats comment..

How many rats are there around there...

My husband was raised rurally and never saw a single 1 on their multiple farms.. ever never heard of any being seen or found either......

I've seen 1 in my entire life.. when our neighborhood flooded in 2008 my dog drug 1 back in the house.. but it had been a tame 1 as it was white...

So is there really that many chances for him to kill little furry rats or was he speaking of a different kind of rat....(a narc)
(I think someone else brought this up earlier.. but it's sticking with me). Because of his talk about billie making a deal....

I agree, rats usually "hang" around a water source... and since there is a lack of water in the area....very interesting statement. Unless the cellar has a seepage.

Noting also that all the stuff about his favorite fishing place has been edited out of the show recording.

I find that hilarious, given Bring Them Home's touting and promoting of their interviews of Billie's as being the first and only unedited interviews of her (there were 16 raw and live interviews before Bring Them Home ever interviewed her.)

I'm so sorry! This is completely incorrect! I remembered this as being at the beginning of the interview, and when I transcribed the beginning, it was gone. Well, I'm nearing the end, and it is all at the end.

It will be transcribed and up in about 5 to 10 minutes.

Again, I am very, very sorry.
