Bring Them Home Now EXCLUSIVE SHAWN ADKINS SPEAKS OUT March 3rd 2011

I'm curious about the I only kill rats comment..

How many rats are there around there...

My husband was raised rurally and never saw a single 1 on their multiple farms.. ever never heard of any being seen or found either......

I've seen 1 in my entire life.. when our neighborhood flooded in 2008 my dog drug 1 back in the house.. but it had been a tame 1 as it was white...

So is there really that many chances for him to kill little furry rats or was he speaking of a different kind of rat....(a narc)
(I think someone else brought this up earlier.. but it's sticking with me). Because of his talk about billie making a deal....

I grew up on a farm about 20 miles out of town. We did have rats behind our house around our septic tank. I only ever saw one but remember my parents telling me not to play back there.

I was surprised that he didn't mention hunting deer! What Texan doesn't go deer hunting! Also bird hunting, turkey hunting... what about the fish when he went fishing? Did he throw them all back?

OK but it was Shawn's step dad who handed LE the computer. Now if I knew I had something incriminating on the computer and LE was on their way to pick it up I would not be so stupid as to hand it to LE. :nono: I'm having a very difficult time accepting that the SD would hand this computer over if he knew.

I can certainly see the phones being a part of the warrant. I can certainly see things in the home of BD being seized. This computer seems to me to have been recognized early on as having something on it that LE wanted. At some point, whether it be by FB or the slasher movies, or utube vids, that computer ISP and computer was recognized as needing to be checked out.

LE got a huge red flag when they interviewed SA, most likely the morning of the 29th and found out that he had "quit" his job on Monday, no one knew, and that he had spent the two days supposedly at his mom's, one of which he was supposedly on the computer "looking for unemployment options". They were interviewing his mother by the afternoon of the 29th, mysteriously in Dunn? Wonder why she was there on a work day? Don't think there's anywhere in Dunn where she could be working. Anyway, they probably got a lot of incriminating information from his mother during that interview, including the statement that SA had told her around noon on Tuesday that HD was missing.

Mom likely didn't realize at that point that this was anything other than a runaway child situation so she was probably pretty forthcoming about everything she knew about those two days with regards to her son. I don't think SA would have been thinking that LE would be going after his Mom's computer when they were outwardly treating the case as a runaway. I bet he didn't find out until after the fact that they had picked up that computer, or he thought that the pictures were all safely deleted.

lol, me. And actually we have started throwing the fish back, buying them at the market is just so much easier. :floorlaugh: I don't have a problem with the people who do hunt......it's just not for me and mr.teh.

lol IC, My husband loved it but can't anymore because of health reasons. We used to freeze a lot of venison and that kept us feed for the winter. I only went with him once and he wouldn't let me go again because my page turning on my book was too loud lol.

I should have said what young Texan man doesn't hunt?
Really I can't imagine SA not hunting animals. Most young men around here do.

This is troubling, jmo

SA repeatedly said during the interview last night " I was the last person to see her" in answer to questions about why he is a suspect or poi.

Wouldn't someone innocent normally say (if they thought she was abducted) that 'LE think I was the last person to see her'? Idk, the confirmation and absolute type of statement "I was the last person to see her" is really sticking with me.

Anyone else bothered by this?

I took objection to the host using the word slaughter. To me that implies violence. Being a tomboy at youth and in in the midwest, I was taught to shoot and cleaned/dressed many a fish, rabbit and squirrel. Loved pheasant, but couldn't bring myself to eat quail because they were too cute. Some who produces video in the manner SA did...is violence.

I agree, rats usually "hang" around a water source... and since there is a lack of water in the area....very interesting statement. Unless the cellar has a seepage.

Well he is worried she might plea deal (For what crime?) and he will go to jail. Maybe it was a message to BD if you rat me out I will kill you. jmo

Hope you didn't think my "fixin to" post was a jab at Texans. I love my friend and find her use regional slang endearing. My Mom is from Missouri. She says (bar-ee) for borrow, lol. Anyway, I'll leave it alone : )

No...I didn't. My post was more of "humor" than reality and my attempt to provide a response on the verbiage from another Texan's perspective.

It was very kind of you to apologize, but really, none needed. I respect everyone's opinion and just wanted to inject my perception of SA's responses as a "Texan". (I haven't read through all of the other posts, so this applies to anyone / everyone that might have responded to my post) - LOL!

Trust me, I am not really bothered by such trivial matters - I was just having a little fun w/ it....thank you though for being considerate.

My Dad still hunts...so people in East Texas beware that there is an 87 year old man out there with a gun............:great: He scares me. I love him, but he scares me.:floorlaugh:

The mom's computer was in Big Springs (Howard). The stick and disc were in CC (Mitchell). I'm going to now go check a county map....if wrong...I'll be back.

Nothing was located in Scurry county....having to do with 🤬🤬🤬🤬, IIRC.

Thank you, gosh, bear with me... I've got those facts inaccurately ingrained, it's going to take some undoing I guess. :banghead:

:floorlaugh: I thank you for the warning and I can also understand... It isn't exactly hunting but my 71 year old father who has been in cancer treatment for over 6 years (very emaciated) tries to convince me to let him back on his motorcycle almost daily! NO WAY!! :banghead:

I thought I followed this case pretty closely but I guess not closely enough. I didn't listen to the interview but I've read most of this thread. Who is Andrea? And is there a sex video that Shawn was in? Those two things are news to me.

That's certainly interesting. Wonder why? He said he went there to fish as a child, after saying his fav fishing experiment, er, experience was when he went deep sea fishing. When ask about his special place as child he said the creek also, because it was (paraphrasing) pristine...untouched. This certainly sounds the opposite of ugly dirt.

IMO, it wouldn't hurt to look at that area again. This kid likes to play head games and thinks he's clever.

Too.. lynnb posted the link to the boat add. The caller said he traced back phone numbers to the family. I also wonder if the man talking to Cory in one of his videos displaying the many guns was the uncle?

Exactly where were the goggles/work sunglasses and knife sheath found?
It wasn't at the creek location he talks about right?

iirc, A is someone that SA says he had a 3 day encounter with about a year ago and she is in a sex video with SA.

There are at least 2 sex videos according to SA one with BD and one with A.

SA accuses A of having a 'fatal attraction' type of thing for him. HTH

Andrea is a girl who according to her FB has very strong feelings for shawn or did, IMHO she's scary, whom he said he only knew for 3 days and she's stalking him. Apparently he made some kind of movie with her.. I'm assuming sex. vid. I cannot remember exactly how he phrased it. But according ot her MS it was much longer than 3 days it was several months.

There is a page for her down in the basement also.

It was smart of him not to talk about *deer* or hunting either.

Remember he denied that he told BD's brother in response to why would anyone harm a 13 year old girl ..."easy as killing a deer". Then there was the cutting up deer with a chain-saw comment also supposedly made by him.

In a post earlier this morning, I stated my belief after listening again to the interview last night that Shawn was "reading from a script" so to say.
I can't exactly put my finger on it but every time I hear him speak he sounds scripted. He seems to be repeating what someone has told him to say and what to express. He doesnt use inflection which one might expect, just sounds like he is repeating what someone else tells him to.
Like BD tells SA..."you were the last person to see Hailey" and "you love animals"
