I'm just thinking out load. Now I've never seen Brittany in person, only in pictures and movies. So I don't know if she had an eating disorder or not. Could she have been that thin because of her diabetes?

well a heart attack can certainly cause shortness of breath and abdominal pain that is for certain.
Have the autopsy results been released for things like tuberculosis?
ETA: I should add there is more to TB than commonly thought about which is what made me think of it. I am only thinking of other options outside of drug interaction. Don't want anyoen to think I have gone off the deep end LOL.

I have known several professionals who became addicted to pain meds...specifically vicodin through an injury with surgery. One side effect for my friend (a bank president) was massive weight loss. 40 lbs in 3-4 months. She described the high like cocaine to her..she could stay up and clean and then do paperwork all night, get up and work all day...cycle repeats. Prob was it took more and more to get her high...then she mixed with alcohol late at night to come down. If I had not seen it first hand, would never have believed it. vicodin makes woozy, nauseous and sleepy. Wouldn't get me hooked...now what they describe from Mommy's little helper adderol..THAT I would have to stay away from.

Thanks for that description...I, personally, know no one that used vicodin...but it fits with what I've read about Brittanys work habits...she seemed to be a hard worker, over-achiever...and 'nauseous' which could explain the vomit...nasty drug...

And another interesting thing is the coroners office keeps saying 'flu' yet the Hubby says "laryngitis"...no mention of flu in his interview...wonder if someone at the scene said 'flu' to explain the vomit but now they are backpeddling...flu virus can be tested for and found in an autopsy...especially swine flu...that's my other obssession ;) Swine flu...lol...;) But that's slowed right down, now...

Also from that link....

Murphy's estranged dad, Angelo Bertolotti, demanded a full probe and said he was always "skeptical" that Monjack was the best match for her.

"It just astounds me that she's dead," he told The News. "She was just so bubbly, even as a little girl. I don't recall her ever having any health problems."

"She got married and everything seemed to go downhill," said Bertolotti. A friend of the star echoed those accusations.

"When Brittany married Simon, she cut off communication with a number of people who cherished her," the pal told the Daily News. "She lived in denial about him."

I heard an interview with the dad and he said he hadn't even seen her in years. How close were they and how much did he really know about what her life was about I wonder?

According to the Associated Press, Bertolotti was in the mob and served prison time on federal drug charges. He divorced her mother when Murphy was young and hadn't seen his daughter in "about three years," he tells Us.

I just want to add that I had a girlfriend that died at age 32. She was ill and then died after about 5 days. She had a virus. She was extremely small. maybe 85-90 pounds but not in an unhealthy way. That was just her body type. She was otherwise fit and took very good care of herself.
So you just never know.

Wow, poor Brittany. Her life was really like hollywood movie, but without the happy ending. I really hate to say this, but I remember watching Brittany in clueless. She was amazing and seemed to have all the talent and oppertunities, not to mention a bright future. But, as the years went by, she went down hill and the magic disappeared. I hope she is at peace now.

I think in Hollywood it's very easy to get caught up in madness of it all and if you aren't strong enough you can very easily be chewed up and spit out.

Good question...I'll do some googling...from what I recall, they hadn't seen each other since the marriage, for sure...and the Brother mentioned it was 8 yrs since he saw her in the link I posted. But it does seem they were on pleasant enough terms...not sure what he knew about her lifestyle...but I've read nothing, so far, that indicates he knew. And he is Italian...in my experience, to Italians, family is always Family...

ETA.. JBean answered some of the question...lol...I'm late in posting...slow on the draw...;) here's the link...US Mag

If you took a picture of her from "Clueless" and placed it next to a current picture of Brittany (as they do in the link below), you'd never know it was the same person. It's as if she changed her DNA somehow! I remember the same thing happened to Carolyn Bessette Kennedy--not an actress, of course, but in the public eye--but she also supposedly got into drugs, became stick-thin, and altered her appearance tremendously. At the end she was almost unrecognizable from her college days.

Monjacks talking...you have to read this...way more at link...10% rule and all...;) Again...no mention of flu...

Brittany Murphy's "devastated" husband is lashing back at speculation his "baby" died from a drug overdose.

"I can get rid of that [rumor] right now," Simon Monjack told People.com.

The grieving husband said Murphy, 32, had laryngitis and also suffered from a heart murmur, but that neither appeared serious leading up to her untimely death Sunday morning.

Now, it would knock my socks off...but what if he's right? We'll see...

"Brittany Murphy's Hubby Promises Death Was No Overdose"

http://ca.eonline.com/uberblog/b159208_brittany_murphys_hubby_promises_death.html

My mind is wide open to the potential that drugs weren't involved. Unfortunately though, her husband has a reputation as a complete liar - almost sociopathic in his ability and his need to lie. So I'll take whatever he says out loud with a grain of salt.

This is not to say I don't feel bad for him - I do. I don't think anyone in that house expected this young woman to die on Sunday morning.

It's funny that you mention Carolyn Bessette Kennedy~ I remember years ago watching the E True hollywood story on the couple. One of his friends commented that she was happy and independent, before she became serious with John jr. But, then the press got involved and mistreated her. He said she really changed a lot after that. It was really sad to see what pop culture could do to a person. She does remind me of Brittany.:twocents:
