Vermont State Police are getting more help from the FBI in the search for missing 12-year old Brooke Bennett.
Five FBI agents from its Child Abduction Rapid Deployment (CARD) team are already on the scene. Also, two agents from the Albany, NY office are working full time in the investigation. Now, two special agents from the FBI Behavior Analysis Unit in Quantico, Virginia are en route to help.
The CARD team is made up of four to six FBI agents trained in kidnapping and child abduction investigations. Their expertise, working in combination with local and state police adds needed eyes on the case in the early crucial hours of an investigation.

This shows the serveilance video. If what i'm seeing is right, then a guy holds the door open for her, she walks in, she stands next to him while he buys something, she walks out empty handed and they leave in opp. directions then when they walked in. He came in from the left side and when he left he went to the right.

Dearest Swanniee,:)
That was her uncle. He bought cigarettes and a coffee. The news said that they went there seperate ways. They also said that she would not have walked to where her clothes were found due to the fact that it is miles away from that store.
Also on the news just now, Mike Touchette is the one that is reviewing the hard drive. He said it could take weeks or months. Also that people hid their identity well on the net. He is working on an international case that he has no clues on and he said that he has been on that case for 2 years.
That was just said on the 6 o'clock news.

Very odd tape. And, I saw exactly the same thing as you. They do appear to be together coming in and while at the store. He takes that quick right leaving. What I am thinking is possibly he said something along the lines that he was going to the men's room and she headed back to the vehicle. She has her arms folded while in the store so I don't think she was 100% comfortable.Also she didn't buy anything so it appears more like they were together. I can't make out any features on this guy though.

So sorry, It has been pointed out to me that the man is her uncle and after he bought coffee/cigs they went their seperate ways. My fault for confusing anyone.

gosh, sorry, I was totally confused there...I see she was dropped off at 9 am (not in the afternoon) and then spotted at laundry/donut shop.

She had this trip to Texas planned that she was very much looking forward to, so if she had set up this secret meeting, I think she thought it would just be for the day and probably felt safe meeting during the day...and had no intention of running away with this person.

Vermong is so heavily wooded, alot of remote places....I'm not feeling real good about this.

I sound like a broken record but we can't get past that her tennis shoe was found closer to her uncle's residence than to Randolph.

The only other thing I can come up with is that whoever this person is was bringing her back home. That some kind of altercation occurred and she lost her shoe. It isn't likely that you would lose your shoe willingly.

Dear Busylady,
Great job on finding that. Yes that is her. If you look closely that last login was TODAY.
So basically she ran away and maybe into the wrong hands, I think she fell in love with a sick human being and he killed her.

This is her Status Message: ;-)bmb loves u so much:-D Going insane i swear! :-) Please txt me!?

The only Cullman I could find is Alabama. Also she disapeared on 6-25 so she must have been alive atleast on 6-26, yesterday or else someone has her password and could have put the whole going to TX thing on there to throw LE off.

If LE is sure that at least one item of clothing is hers...why not the other items of clothing? Either they are clothes that her parents can't ID (maybe stuff she may have taken from say a dryer in the laundromat?) or clothing belonging to another person. Seems odd to me that just one of the items could be ID'd as definitely hers.

Course it could be this mystery person could be dropping her items in different places just to confuse LE.

the Texas trip was planned and confirmed by her father...she was going to visit one of her relatives there. so that was for real.

  • #137
The link I posted states that the clothing is Brooke's clothing, that is what lead to the Amber Alert.

Here is the link again;
http://www.dps.state.vt.us/vtsp/press/press_062708_royalton.html

This is from that link;
Yesterday morning items of clothing were recovered off of Rt. 65 in Brookfield in the vicinity of the floating bridge. After further development in the investigation, the State Police was reasonably assured that one of the items belonged to Brooke. As a result, Vermont’s first Amber Alert was issued at approximately 5:25 PM. Detectives have been following up on leads generated by the Amber Alert throughout the night.

LE has been into her account. It's being forensically analyzed.

I am suspicious of this whole thing. Something doesnt seem right, the shoe the website being accessed the day after she disapeared. Where would she have gone with one shoe???? I doubt she went to the library or a friends with one shoe to access her myspace the next day. Something is not adding up and I really wonder if it was her on myspace yesterday. Call me cynical cindi but thats me :waitasec:

I guess they don't need a password :)

Well I guess I was too cynical there.
