WTH? MJ was arraigned in Orange County District Court...so why not Ray?!

Could this mean it is because things were done on the internet and/or he took the girl across state lines at some point?

I think images were being traded over the internet and kids being transported back and forth from Vermont to Texas for illegal sex. That's why there is fed charges. And I wouldn't be surprised that Ray is charged today as well.

I think the Feds are taking over because it is illegal internet activity that are crimes against children in this case.

Who cares if you know more than the next person....anything anybody knows is crucial to finding this little girl and returning her to her family!

A statement released by police said the sexual assault by Ray A. Gagnon, 40 of San Antonio, involved a minor in Royalton in the summer of 2007. The victim was not Brooke, the statement said.

The arrest of Gagnon comes one day after Michael Jacques, 42 of Randolph was arraigned on an identical charge involving another minor and police disclosed they are investigating whether an alleged child sex ring named Breckenridge is involved.

Awww, the new photos of Brooke are beautiful. These must have come from Jim. There is one with her in a flowered straw hat leaning on her Dad. Very sweet. She looked happy with him and there was another with her pictured with two young boys. (I can only assume they are from her father's side.)

MJ's house is HUGE and relatively new. I guess money was coming in to this family from somewhere.

Good question. Are they two separate girls since the one they stated that MJ was arrested for was from Randolph, VT? Where is Royalton?

What a betrayal of trust on Denises part. She is this girl's mother and she first married a man who was a RSO and let her daughter have extended, unsupervised contact with him and then after seeing what she saw she did not step in and save her daughter. She didn't do anything and left her daughter to deal with this abuse alone. Absolutely sickening.

To me, this indicates another victim and not the same girl as MJ is charged with.

Page 3 of Jaques arrest affidavit states that A.R. would receive "calls and emails from Breckenridge" and that this correspondence would tell her what sexual acts she was to perform.

This is how they got Brooke. They were emailing her (thru a Myspace account or otherwise). This is why she was taken to the convenience store by Jaques and supposedly dropped off. She was on a "mission" for Breckenridge.

So she's either somewhere with a pedophile who belongs in this sick ring..... or more likely she's dead somewhere because she wised up and was going to tell the whole truth loud and clear.

I have faith that LE is looking at Jaques very closely, as he was the last person to see her before she went missing.

And I don't care what sort of abuse you've suffered or how you've been manipulated --- if, as a mother, you find evidence that your child is being molested, you take the kid and RUN. There is no excuse for this Denise woman's actions, in my book. She should be behind bars.

Edited to add: Right now I'm not feeling much different about Brooke's mom, either. I have a feeling she knew about her ex-husband's record and that her bro-in-law was a pedophile too, yet according to Brooke's dad it "wasn't an issue".

Ok, I am the poster from the in session boards that lives in Randolph and is aware of the families involved in this mess. I have been banned from IS because the Admin is on some power trip and didnt like what I had to say....So, that being said, I am JUST tuning today as I was away from TV & internet last night and I cannot beleive the twists this case has taken. The grandmother is not the one who first reported BB missing, a family friend did, then LE called back and spoke w/ the grandmother. The family friend is a woman that I know personally and heard this info directly from her, she insisted that they report her missing as it looked like the mom & grandma really werent concerned yet even thoiugh it had been 12 HOURS since they spoke to her last!!!. According to the friend, she actualy spoke w/ Jacques and he had access to BB Myspace passwords and log in names. He made her give it to him if she was going to be using his computer. Jacques is also the one that found her belongings at the Floating Bridge (not confirmed, but according to friend). The incident back in 93 is not the only involving him, he has had other charges but dont think he was ever convicted. This came from my daycare provider who used to babysit for him & his wife years ago.

Bdmama, this is such important information. That the mom & grandma really weren't concerned yet. God, where is Brooke?
