Good thoughts about the cell phone fran. That is strange that would leave it behind. In that video from the store she looks really upset too.

Could Brooke's cell phone had been with her and MJ realizing that it would give off pings, had A.R. have it appear that Brooke hadn't taken it with her, when maybe she had? Am I making any sense?

Total sense dottierainbow! I bet that conniving phycopath thought about the pings and somehow kept the phone away from Brooke!

I thought that she actually left it at home. Not the uncle's but her mom's home. I thought I understood she didn't have it with her when she spent the night at her cousin's.

JMHO
fran

PS......Ok, I see where it COULD have been left at the Uncle's,ie cousin's, when she was last seen at the convenience store. I guess we COULD think the uncle was smart enough to think of that....grrr...fran :(

Has anyone figured out the purpose of wanting this done by June 16 or 17th was? First by June 6 or 7, and then he said no later than June 16 or 17, and said something similar to "for obvious reasons" or something that AR would have understood.

Just wondering if anyone knows what that was all about?

I'm not sure I would give MJ credit for being that smart. He obviously didn't understand that LE's computer forensic people could figure out that all the fake e-mails came from him or that they would find out that the stepfather accessed Brooke's MS account. Plus, the calls he made to the stepfather were from his phone - not a throwaway.

What is farmer season that A.R. and MJ were so excited about?

A lot of farms will hire temp employees when the harvest comes (teens, transient workers), to help get the product out of the fields. I think that's what they were talking about.

Thank you for posting this link.
After reading the details of his 1993 conviction, I think it's a strong possibility he has raped and killed before Brooke.

Sexual Phycopath is a very apt description for him, I am convinced that there are more victims. Someone with this kind of sexual deviancy don't just stop at one person. I am also convinced that he has killed before, it is most probably were he gets his greatest satisfaction torture then murder.

This case has truly sickened me to the depths of my soul. Jacques was a warped twisted ticking time bomb. God...that poor poor child. Just hearbreaking

I don't think MJ thought he would be a suspect since their was someone else's DNA. But he knew that Brooke would be reported missing so therefore possible her cell phone would be pinged. Granted this is speculation only, no hard facts.

Maybe someone can make sense of this because it's not adding up to me.

I certainly don't want to think that AR had anything to do with this, but it's looking more and more like that.

In one of the emails in the affidavit, MJ (posing as C, I believe) tells AR that "dad" needs at least a few hours with Brooke, then he (C) asks AR if she wants some time with her too (did he mean sexually?)

I have a hard time believing that he would ask her if she wanted time with Brooke after she was tied up, and then when he brought Brooke upstairs at the house, AR says that MJ made her leave with her boyfriend....that doesn't compute to me.

We know that the emails are telling the truth...but don't know that AR is.

What do you guys think?

At this point in this case, I think that ANYTHING is possible. Probably unlikely, but I consider it possible, that not all of the emails which appear to be written by AR were indeed written by her. It is possible that MJ wrote or had someone else write emails to sound and look as if they were from her to use against her to keep her quiet if needed. Many of the emails indeed 'sound' as if she authored them herself. Since they were attributed to her in the affidavit by LE, I guess I should assume that she has admitted to LE that they were indeed her writings, but untill I know for sure that she has validated that all of the emails which have been made public are her own compositions, I can only only assume...so there still is a possibility of otherwise...

Adnoid...I think they all bear responsibility for what happened to this child....every single last one of them. I would not even talk to my sister if she took up with a sex offender and I sure as hell would not have my child anywhere NEAR him. Every last one of them should be charged. I swear, after looking at that machine he ordered and thinking of the implications of that.....there is no way I would want him to have a fair trial. I would just want to kill him with my bare hands. Its truly revolting and I see NO reason this man should live a long life locked up. He needs to be put straight down like the dirty beast that he is:mad:

The 3 items I saw listed in the affidavit cost $941.50 ($795 $48.50, $98). With tax and s/h it probably came to $1,000+.

We don't know where he had them shipped either. As with many "interesting" purchases you can make with your credit card, it probably didn't say "EXTREME RESTRAINTS" on the cc statement. Maybe he did all the bills and DJ didn't see them.

Since they know about these items being shipped, has it been said if someone signed for them? Something of this value I would imagine there would have been a signature required.

Personally, I don't think that he would have wanted her drugged. It's beyond sick and disgusting, but I think part of the "thrill" for him is the struggle. I think that a lot of rapists need/want that. Maybe AR was getting too willing and that's one of the reasons (along with puberty) that he needed to move on.

Exactly, sickos like him like to see the victim feel the torture! that is what gives them the pleasure. He did not buy that digusting equipment just to drug her so she would not feel it! This guy really needs to fry!

Good morning! I'm new here but have been glued to reading everyone's theories and discussions. I'm really impressed with this site and would like to throw in a thought or two.

If MJ and AR were emailing and texting each other, wouldn't it be reasonable to think that they also Instant Messaged each other? MJ also could've IM'ed under one of his personas as well to further convince AR to do his bidding. I'm also struck by a phrase in one of the affidavits quoting "That was a good idea you had, but it took me and C a lot of begging and pleading to get them to agree. At the moment the committee doesn't like you too much!" It appears to me that she was being threatened to be "replaced" in the program perhaps replaced by Brooke. Which would cause AR to become very jealous. AR thinking her only allies being MJ and C. So Breckenridge wants Brooke but MJ and C want her--am I making sense? So this is how they come up with their plan. In AR's mind she wants to hold on to what she has. She is 14 and has been under MJ's control for 5 years and is now going to be cast aside. Too far fetched? I mean reasonably entire groups of adults have been convinced to commit mass suicide so how easy would it be to manipulate a 14 year old into thinking she was on her way out? AR seemed to be very isolated and very dependent on pleasing MJ which could explain her reluctance and lying to LE.
I don't really know what to make of that email. I hope LE was able to retrieve text messasges as well off AR's cell phone.

Welcome to WS!

If only more towns and cities here in Vermont were like these two .......

The power of public outcry

There was a sex offender that was to be released to the public from the unit I was working in.

The community of Winooski (a few miles from the facility) was alerted of his pending release. He was going to move in with his mother.

City officials held a meeting to alert the residents of the concern of this high risk offender securing a residence there.
A high risk, untreated sex offender.
Media release;

The residence were outraged and the media then came to the facility to cover the story.
Here is an article;

So because of the public outcry, it was decided that he would live in a motel room close to the facility.

So, the South Burlington Police Department alerted their community about his release to the community.
He moved into the motel and shortly after, he was told to leave by the owner.

He then went to a halfway house in Boston.

He decided to leave there and hopped a bus back here. He violated Federal probation and was arrested when he exited the bus.

It took me for ever to peck this post out. (I am a pecker, not a typer)

I just want to point out the power of voices.

Respectfully,

Frying is too humane for him and so is the so called "cruel and unusual punishment" death penalty. He needs attatching to that precious machine of his and for it to be turned on Superturbo charged or something for a week and then taken out and a bullet put straight in his brain:mad:

Do we actually know if A.R. and the boyfriend where filmed? The only thing I have read is there were still photos of them in Gagnons safe.

I would have to go back and look at the dates in the emails, but A.R. said the abuse had stopped a few weeks ago yet in one of the emails she talks about getting some from dad and those emails were just a few days before Brooke was taken. So I do not think the abuse had stopped at all.
