On your first point, I agree with you to an extent. However, maths would dictate that if the younger girls are about 7 or 8 (they'd have to be at least that I'd say, going by their height, hair length, etc in the pics) then the oldest children would have to be in the 18+ range, just going by a simplified one what maths? I dont understand. the op brought up a neighbor not feeling that a 29yr old dressed as a child is not 'off' (paraphrasing). the neighbors didnt even know how many kids were there, much less what ages they may be.
no way on earth that neighbor would even know that the children he did see were adults at all.

a neighbor may not be good at judging age/height, etc and we know they are ALL malnourished and undersize. the 29 yr old is the size of a 12 yr old, according to law enforcement. that alone would not raise flags to neighbors at all if they had no idea a 29 yr old was there.

The former neighbor playmate mentioned the 2 dogs left at the home when the family moved were eating feces from diapers. I have heard no mention of diapers since they left Texas. It would seem that at some point the parents potty trained all of the children but then forced them to live in their own waste as they got older. The children were apparently able to have bladder and bowel control during the wedding video and pictures in Disney. Wondering why diaper an infant, potty train, and then force them to live where they were unable to use the toilet or shower? Is there an age that the parents refuse to provide health, safety and educational opportunities for their welfare?

The couple had claimed to home-school their children, and the feces-littered living room had the trappings of a makeshift classroom, he said, including eight small desks, a chalkboard, alphabet and number signs stapled to the wall.

As he moved from room to room, he noticed something odd: “Everything had locks on it: The closet had locks, the toy chest, the refrigerator.”

“There were no beds, just mattresses,” he said, and “There wasn’t a place in that house that wasn’t filthy.”

I totally agree. They deserve to have someone do this right with them. The most healing relationship in my life is with a woman who gladly took on the job of reparenting me. She saved my life. Literally.

LT's arms are very thin & toned and her face is quite youthful in that Robinette profile picture compared to those posted of her in 2011, 2013, 2015 etc. I suspect the real date of when the picture was taken is well prior to the renewals (where her upper arms look far less toned and much fuller).

Imagine if you will, many of these children have probably not been taught basic skills like toilet training, personal
hygiene, manners, self-discipline, social skills, etc. In a way some of them will probably seem 'feral'.
Now add in PTSD which can cause anxiety, nightmares, sleep walking, hyper vigilance, mistrust of anyone, aggression,
anger, temper tantrums, bed wetting, etc. So you see why 'professionals' who have dealt with these problems in children, would be necessary to pull this off. Huge undertaking, IMO.

I agree. I think it's a recipe for more potential abuse. Praying for the best for these siblings.

I think of the kids are about to be moved to a foster family then it’s safe to say they are in a condition to be moved on! WB members saying it’s too soon etc are not in receipt of the condition of these kids! So why all the angst?

I just don't get the religious vibe from them. I've known so many over-the-top religious people, and nothing about them matches up. It's more like they seem to worship Disney!

Seriously, my closest neighbors (I live out in the country) are very religious and homeschool a large brood of kids. They aren't even what I would call over-the-top religious, although they are certainly more religious than most people. But there are so many tell-tale signs in the way they dress and the way they relate to the world. I just don't see the normal signs here at all.

Yea. I agree. The Turpin's stepped away from a very restrictive religion. That's not why they did this. I just finished watching the 20/20 episode and I realize now that Louise is probably more guilty in all this than maybe even David. Haven't figured him out at all yet. I have a psychology and human behavior degree and the mom's history very much fits the profile of someone with borderline personality disorder. My ex sister in law has it and it is not managed. She is psychologically abusive to my niece who is somewhat intellectually disabled. In the 20-20 Louise's sister talking about how the kids were locked in their rooms for hours at a time made me immediately think of my sis in law. My bro in law and his current wife have been fighting for full custody forever. It's a constant battle tho b/c the state of TX is a "mother's state" and it takes something monumental to get the state to relinquish full custody to fathers regardless of they ability to provide appropriate care. It's sad. Mind control is hard to prove especially when the only witness is a disabled 13 year old who has been brainwashed by mommy dearest. Louise very much reminds me of her.

Those who were tied/ chained up, for the time they were bound (up to weeks & even months, apparently) were not released when they needed to relieve themselves.

Those who were not tied, hogtied, or chained may have been allowed to use the bathroom, though I imagine that wasn't consistently "allowed" either, since they were allegedly locked in their (2-3 total bedrooms) most of the time.

Ha! Hi Durham, lol! Had you heard about this word of faith stuff? They are worth looking into if you haven't. It's a constant circus. Hoping with some if he recent stuff that's come to light, the operation can get shut down. County corruption here is largely responsible for letting it get out of hand and we've finally "cleaned house" where that goes.

In regards to foreclosed homes....

When a house goes into foreclosure, the bank owns it until someone else buys it. The bank is required to upkeep the house, winterize the pipes, and adhere to safety standards (such as installing railings, boarding up windows if necessary, snow removal, fix holes in floors). The bank is supposed to hire a company to do all that. I know b/c my DH works for such a company. Once the bank takes possession, these companies do an initial clean out, empty the entire contents and take them to the dump. Fix any safety issues, install lockboxes or change locks, and are required to check on the house biweekly.

Makes me wonder why the Texas home still had beds. Whatever bank foreclosed on that home did not follow the rules, or perhaps the rules are different in TX? But didnt some pics have boarded up windows? I wonder if the bank did do an initial clean out but left the beds? So many questions... I know the company my husband works for has called LE several times for suspicious things (they once found drugs, once maybe evidence of dog fighting). Just sad, as there were probably even more opportunities for someone to help these children!

I am a licensed Real Estate in Michigan and if a foreclosed home is bought by HUD (Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac) I t is cleaned and checked on, but if it is bought by an LLC , a regular bank, or indivual they are not required to clean or fix it up they can sell it as is and if bad enough they can require you to sign a "hazard enter at your own risk disclosure" to indemnify and hold them harmless if you get hurt in there. Also if you buy a home that is coming straight from the Sheriff's auction you are responsible for everything including the eviction if one is needed. I have been in foreclosed homes that are disgusting with bags and bags of garbage and toys and all kinds of junk left behind.
