This man had a good job. In a coveted area of the United States. He earned a pretty good salary, buffered by bonuses that government employees get. Vacations, medical insurance etc.

He is allowed to bring his Pakistan wife to America.

She gives birth to their child in America, all paid for via his job's insurance. He even gets paid maternity leave!!!!

Yet, instead of rejoicing, they start planning how to murder as many people as they can. Even with a new baby, that should have been their delight, they spend their spare hours building bombs, acquiring weapons and enough ammunition to take down hundreds or more innocent people.

I am furious at the two of them.

I don't see 27 virgins as a motive. I see hatred for the United States and everything we believe in as the motive.

Let me guess, the female killer was NOT vetted because she was a woman. Going with a man into this country.

Now we know.
Terrorists can come with pregnant bellies and smiles

Exactly. I am furious, too-- and frustrated. It doesn't take a genius to imagine what is coming. Radicals always switch it up, going for the unexpected, and are well known for using women, older women, and kids as distractions-- knowing they are able to get closer, and people are less suspicious of women with kids. Just imagine the abject horror that a couple of determined women mother terrorists could inflict while, for example, dropping off their kids at a daycare filled with children. Or an elementary school. They would get very, very far inside, because NO ONE would suspect them of any ill motives, because their own kids were involved.

Terrorists strive to inflict the most terror, and horror they can. Women, mothers, and kids are TOOLS to inflict even more terror. Lest we all forget, the woman terrorist in Paris cried out for HELP, in order to lure the police in ever closer, before she blew herself into pieces.

We cannot underestimate what we are facing. We must not. They WILL escalate, seeking ever softer targets, IMO. This isn't anything new. They've been doing it in the middle east conflicts for a long, long time. We were briefed on these kinds of terrorism tactics more than 20 years ago when I was active duty. It's not a "new" idea at all.

I guess I'm astonished that *anyone* could be astonished nowadays at a woman terrorist, or a mother. I'm just surprised they dropped off their 6 month old somewhere else, and didn't take her with them on the killing spree. I guess they thought she would slow them down, rather than create a moment of shock they could take advantage of. I truly believe that if they thought the baby could have somehow furthered their murderous plans, they would have taken her along.

After Paris and California attacks, U.S. Muslims feel intense backlash

Snip

American Muslims say they are living through an intensely painful moment and feel growing anti-Muslim sentiment after the recent Islamic State attacks in Paris and this week’s San Bernardino shootings, carried out by a Muslim husband and wife.

Snip

Muslims say that Americans, like many in Europe, often do not draw a distinction between radical Islamist militants, such as those associated with the Islamic State and al-Qaeda, and the religion of Islam and its followers who have no ties to extremism.

I heard a Homeland Security guy on KFI radio, named Mike Baker, with an interesting theory. He said that when the shooter put his info out on the dating websites, he was probably targeted by Extremists because he had several things they look for. He was a Sunni with American citizenship, a good government job, liked to target practice, and he was looking fir a wife. Those things checked all the important boxes for Al Queda or whomever, as making a perfect 'target' for them to radicalize. So they can easily send an extremist female to him by having her contact him online and easy peasy...

I simply can't imagine extremists using (for example) match.com or plentyoffish.com to troll for people to recruit. They would only get to see someone's handle name, not their real name, and perhaps not even a picture. That just seems bonkers to me. There are so many other ways for those who are terror-minded to recruit or be recruited. Highly doubt a dating website would be useful that way.

For victim's boyfriend, 22 hours of conflicting reports, then heartbreak

Ryan Reyes dropped off his boyfriend, Daniel Kaufman, at work Wednesday at 7 a.m. and traded texts and photos with him throughout the morning.

"He was his usual cheerful, chattering self," Reyes said.

Kaufman, 42, ran the coffee shop in building 3 at the Inland Regional Center, training the developmentally disabled clients who worked there.

The last message from Kaufman arrived at 10:37 a.m. -- a picture of a friend he had met at a comic book conference.
About an hour later, Reyes received a text from his sister: "Hey Ry does Daniel work at the Regional Center in Sb? Check the news."

Reyes, 32, called his boyfriend repeatedly but kept getting sent to voicemail.

"Call me ASAP!" he texted. There was no reply.

[...]

"I'm so emotionally drained right now," he said. "I don't know if I want to scream, cry or break a window."
"I'm trying to cling to hope."

But then, at 10:38 Thursday morning, Reyes' cellphone rang. It was the aunt who had adopted Kaufman.
He was gone.

Reyes huddled in the kitchen with his aunt and mother, Patricia. They wept together as the television news of the shooting played in the background.

So true.
Let's think this through:
1) he met her online
2) he was overseas for only a few days...yet she comes home with him on a visa
3) she wields an assault rifle like Rambo
Hmmm...I do think this marriage was arranged, but not by Mohamed!

and that reality has to IMO take us to a whole new level. I agree regarding the marriage and the child (pretty intnese).

Manufacoting an infant for a cover

So that makes this years in planning desiring a wife that makes Cat woman look lame , is wildy scary.

Godh look how big they are goggle images

sad huh, that LE is getting so good at reponding to these

the old adage
practice makes perfect................................

It is so ironic, CNN on this story is still using "Might"

might have planned more attackes - that is just clear, with amount of ammo found

might have used marriage as a cover -- they dropped off their infant

I think there is a political deal here - with all the money we spend on anti terror - this obviously was a failure. Its like they are breaking it to us gently .

Even as the world expressed its horror at the beheadings of American journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff by the radical militant group the Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS), there were those who exulted on social media. Self-proclaimed Western jihadists and ISIS supporters in Syria, these people proclaimed victory and promised more killings to come. “I wish I did it,” noted one on a Tumblr blog. Another asked for links to any videos of Foley’s execution and cackled, in a slang-filled Twitter post, that the “UK must b shaking up ha ha.”

They were both women. The Twitter personality, Khadijah Dare, whose handle Muhajirah fi Sham means “female immigrant to Syria,” declared her desire to replicate the execution: “I wna b da 1st UK woman 2 kill a UK or US terorrist!” Her statement may be pure jingoism, but as ISIS attracts more female adherents, the likelihood of seeing a woman brandishing a knife in the terrorist group’s name only increases.

ISIS’s vicious campaign to carve out a state ruled by a fundamentalist interpretation of Islamic law is no different, though its strict laws prohibiting mixing between genders has limited women’s presence on the front lines. Instead, women are drawn — or recruited — into vital support roles through effective social-media campaigns that promise devout jihadist husbands, a home in a true Islamic state and the opportunity to devote their lives to their religion and their God.

The goal of any terrorist action is to not only cause as much damage and death as possible in an attack, but even more than that to create fear, panic, distrust, blame, discrimination, and hatred. And by reacting exactly that way, which millions of people do, we only feed the terrorist agenda. They can sit back and see the ripple effects as people spread their fear and hatred and in that, they win on a whole 'nother level.

People who are not terrorists and have no terrorist agenda nor agree with any of these radical nutjobs get treated like they are one of them because people cannot figure out that a radical nutjob is no more a real Muslim, practicing what is taught from the Koran, than some guy walking down the street talking to himself. The nutjob claims s/he is a Muslim and claims they are doing what the Koran teaches, but that's a complete lie. They've made up their own version of the religion is what's really happened.

But how do they keep convincing other people their twisted, made up, terrorist version of Islam is real? I mean not just the people they recruit, but the people they want to terrorize. They've got an amazing PR department.

How did Charles Manson get 100 people to follow him into a desert convinced that the end of the world was coming and they were going to lead a new world after all the blacks killed off the whites and Manson was like God? How did Adolf Hitler convince people to follow his agenda and assist in his plan to murder millions of innocent people? By playing on their fear, anger, feelings of alienation, and targeting the disenchanted young men and women looking for something to identify with. It was done bit by bit over time.

There is no PC police. The neighbor was not going to be charged for reporting what was going on. It was the fear of the imaginary PC police that prevented her from speaking up.

Maybe they went up to one of the gun ranges in Apple Valley or Lucerne Valley or just somewhere in the high desert. That area is not all that far from the San Bernardino area.

They loved target practice ..........

The biggest challenge we have, IMO, is that we cannot separate the radical ideology from the basic tenets of the religion and their holy book. There is no "reformation" in islam, no "new testament". The murderous ideology and the "moderate" religion are all wadded up together in a huge, stinking knot that no one knows how to untangle.

People with an agenda will take something and twist it's meaning to suit their purposes. It's done with every religion to one degree or another. None of the ancient religions espouse the killing of innocent people. What these radical types do then is convince themselves and their recruits that people are not innocent and by having beliefs different from their own, have committed crimes and the radical is now duty-bound to get rid of all those who don't believe what they should.

Think this is new? This has been going on since the dawn of man. Reference as one example the middle ages where millions were murdered based on a different set of beliefs than those in power at the time. Catholics and Protestants were at war back in the 1500s. The Spanish Inquisition in the 1400s. Most wars are about religious differences. This is just today's version of it and the past keeps getting repeated over and over because humans want to control other humans right down to what they believe.

anyone have link to the enitre latest presser I missed it TIA

Just like in every religion - there are nut job secs, including Christians. Problem is...the radical Islamists have taken it to a whole new level and have set out to terrorize and destroy the non-believers. It's not crazy Christians, or nut job Buddists committing these massive acts of terror. It's the Muslims turned extremists - and those are the people we are afraid of.
