Marking my spot.

We can bury our heads in the sand as we have been doing...or we can grow a pair and fight this with all we've got. The fight begins at home with tighter TSA and immigration, IMO.

I'll add that I think parents need to start being more active participants in their lives and trying to encourage them to be good, law abiding citizens. In addition to terrorists, there are just a lot of bad people in the world.

The kind of phone that opens up . . . "old fashioned" in the world of smartphones. You can buy one CHEAP - - this is the type of phone used as a "throwaway"

Is that what a burner phone is? Cuz I dont have that kind lol just an ole fashioned flip phone

I call BS. This is not a case of bullying gone bad. This was an act of Terrorism. Part home grown. Part international. So now we have a sick ****** combining personal agenda with political/religious fanaticism. A new hybrid if you will. No victim blaming should be tolerated.

CNN pundit is calling it the biggest investigative screw up he's ever seen. He doesn't see fingerprint powder etc. He's speechless.

At least, thank god, the perps were captured and killed. There's no question of their identities (I guess). Was there a third? Well, we haven't discussed that much, here . . but . . if multiple people in the conf. room or viewing the scene from outside said that THREE people came in and started shooting, I'd find that highly credible. And I hope that lots of prints were lifted, photos taken, etc., in processing the scene. Still and all . . nobody outside the Feds and LE should have been let in.

I'm completely shocked by what I just saw on CNN Europe. I try not to watch CNN, ever, but flipped it on just now after reading recent posts.
Let's imagine the landlord made an error of judgement allowing people into the house, but surely LE can go in to get them all out? Or not? How does that work in California?

After the Feds/FBI insisted on taking over the investigation they let this happen.

Was it intentional? Pure incompetence? What was it exactly???

Lol! But really not funny.
I just got on a train at Penn Station.
Security is beefed up. Random car checks in NYC and all tolls and bridges.
I guess it's something.
A friend who serves in Afghanistan told me to lay low and
Not use mass transit until after New Years....yeah. Ok. It's NY!

We were going to fly to London for our 25th wedding anniversary next week. We scrubbed our plans and are staying in the US.

On an interesting note ... Often times I get the once over and questioned when flying international. I'm a blond, green eyed woman born in Morocco. Always get asked about it even though I'm a U.S. Citizen. Doesn't bother me though - at least someone is asking.

I walk back and forth to work here in NYC. Will take Metro North tonight. Will be interesting to see if there's additional armed presence there, and bomb sniffing dogs, too.

Then you've got a burner-style phone. I do, too! I'm not really a "phone person".

I cannot believe that the crime scene was released and every one is going in and out. Since NO ONE is stopping the public I believe and IMO that this is exactly what the administration, FBI and police and other agencies, home and foreign, wanted to happen. The site was released way to early, the documents laying around should have been confiscated even if another search warrant had to be issued plus other items I saw laying around....something stinks stronger then a skunk to me.

Lately I've been having visions of every dystopian novel I've ever read. Maybe the zombie apocalypse would be a blessing.

I think our "leader" is already a zombie.

Thanks. Anyone have any longer clips? I turned on the t.v. too late, I guess. Haven't seen any of the stuff people are talking about.

I didn't realize it was that short....ugh. Will try to find another source

I have vision problems and use an older flip phone because it's easier to see :)

Nope. Just walked through downtown. Two subways. Two LIRR trains.
Less presence than last week. No dogs.

Just turn on CNN.... They keep recycling the footage.

It's mind boggling! They can't be that incompetent can they be? Don't answer!

Could very well be intentional if you step back and look at the reluctance of calling this a terrorist act. Things that make you go hmmm...
