So was she a pharmacist or not? The dailymail article with her photo shows her final exam grade (brilliant??? Not so much!). If, in fact, she was a pharm. it could certainly help with the bomb making.

It's nice being on here late tonight. My insane old lady is over at her sisters house discussing "family stuff". It appears that a certain elderly lady is about to die, and her family is beginning to act like a bunch of greedy a$$*&les.
Where the conflict comes in, is that this elderly lady is married to her dad, but she's not her bio Mom.

I never get invited to family squabbles because I'm not even-tempered enough to deal with any of them, and/or politically correct. I always offer up the solution that we just kick the a%% of the person causing the problems, and be done with it. That works out well in bar fights or on jobsites, but it doesn't seem to help things in family fights. So---Steelman stays home until and if we need muscle and brawn.......then we'll call ya'.

So here I sit....sipping on a beer......reading and commenting about terrorists...........while hoping at the same time the little lady doesn't walk in brandishing a hatchet.....or sword.....or a suicide vest....or .223 ammo with stripper clips. And even if she did that, I'd just tell her one of the chihuahuas was sick, and she'd drop the weapons and go into "Mom" mode. Life is good.

It's not that uncommon. There's even a show on TLC about it - "90 Day Fiance."

Using a unique 90-day fiance visa, the K-1 visa, four women and two men will travel to the U.S. to live with their overseas partners for the first time. The couples must marry before their visas expire in 90 days, or the visiting partner will have to return home. They'll have to overcome language barriers, culture shock and skeptical friends and family -- all with a clock that starts ticking the moment they step foot on U.S. soil.

OMG!!!! Bahahahaha!!
After two glasses of really good wine...I can't stop laughing!!!
Really good wine ? Lucky, I'm drinking a rather cheap bottle of Cavet Riesling because someone brought it for Thanksgiving. Didn't know I was going to need to wash my brain tonight. Making do! [emoji6]

I'm guessing that it was an arranged marriage.

The question is "arranged" by who?

I'm missing the old Jodi sidebar where we use to serve up some music and drinks for the old timers...

Was/ is the baby a prop?
Was/is the baby even theirs?
Was she even pregnant?
I think dna needs be done tbh.
What self respecting mother who has a babe in arms would do such a despicable act of violence?

I have the same nagging questions. My son is the same age as the shooter was. And he and his wife also have their first baby, a 6 month old precious girl. And it is absolutely impossible for me to imagine them abandoning her to go off and kill/maim dozens of co-workers. I cannot imagine them purposely making her an orphan. Their baby girl is their entire world right now. Everything they do is for her future. I just don't understand how these two 'parents' handed their baby off to Grandma and walked away from her like that. SMH

At hubby's company Christmas party with no one I know. Just spewed wine out my nose reading this. Perfect impression on his coworkers I'd say! Lol

I agree. I have never seen a MIL that did not hover over the grandchild and hang around in the kitchen area. No way she sat upstairs alone in the tiny bedroom.

Sorry for your experiences in MIL land, but I am a MIL/grandparent and I do not hover, eve drop, or otherwise interject myself in my adult child's family. My involvement is restricted to games of Go Fish, Old maid, forts made out of living room furniture... perhaps a smidgen of tales about when their parents were little... and many wonderful adventures we created. My adult children could have been creating a nuclear power plant in the attic, (which they inhabited for a time), and we would have been none the wiser.
Just saying...

I really believe he was easy prey and she groomed him. Her life in Pakistan and SA and connections to certain Mosques and Imams lead me to believe that she was already radicalized when he met her and brought her here to live..."the American Dream" (barf!)
