2 men opened fire on a police car patrolling a tough part of Los Angeles, but the two officers inside were not injured and one was able to shoot back, authorities said Monday. One suspect was later arrested and the other was on the loose.
The shooting occurred amid heightened tensions over attacks on police elsewhere in the country after grand juries declined to indict white officers in the killings of unarmed black men.

I just saw on the news that they arrested AN 18 YR OLD? He is a kid and he ambushed 2 cops with a rife.

According to my local LA news, the arrested shooter is only 18. They are still looking for the other shooter.

He was identified as 18-year-old Christopher Taylor, according to a news release from the LAPD Monday evening.

Prosecutors have charged a second suspect in connection with the shooting at a Los Angeles police patrol car during an attack on a rival gang.

James Brooks, 19, was arrested in Las Vegas after an investigation led by the FBI/LAPD Fugitive Task Force, FBI spokeswoman Ari DeKofsky said...

Both Taylor, who was charged earlier, and Brooks face two counts each of shooting at an occupied vehicle and assault on a peace officer with a semiautomatic firearm, as well as one count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, Robison said.
