The documentary discussed many parts of the investigation, including a map showing where Jones planned to dump Alexis' remains and bodycam video of police searching Jones’ Antioch home for evidence, where police believe Alexis was killed.

But the documentary did not include surveillance video that the family says allegedly shows Jones’ mother as a potential suspect in the murder case. They did not elaborate much on what was in the video but felt it was important for the public to see.

“I was communicating with the episode producer and I mentioned 'Are you guys going to show the clip?' and she said 'Yeah, we will show the clip.' But all of sudden, it’s not there,” said Gwyn Gabe, Alexis' father.

The family still plans for their attorney to present a case to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office against Jones’ mother in the coming months. She was briefly taken into custody around the time of her son’s death in 2022, but police said there wasn’t enough evidence to charge her.

This case smells of a framing by another suspect or maybe even by corrupt law enforcement. Lets go over this:

1. The video footage of the man they say was Marshall Jones walking away from her parked car on Trenton Wy. in Oakley CA clearly shows someone who had pants, a jacket with a hoodie over his head, had a facemask and a hat on. How could police determine that was a black man walking let alone Marshall Jones ? It could have been anyone.

2. They say they found her cellphone by her car with Marshall's DNA on it. That proves nothing. She not only was in a relationship with him for 3 years but after their break up was known to still visit each other numerous times after, showing there was no bad blood between the two so the chances of him touching her phone numerous times are great.

3. They say they have video footage of Marshall Jones pulling up to his Mom's house and unloading heavy garbage bags. Police suspect that Alexis Gabe's body were in those bags yet when they checked the vehicle that Marshall drove with the bags in them, no DNA of Alexis Gabe was found. Now from what I know about crime scenes, whenever you have a dismembered body in any vehicle, house etc. there is ALWAYS some sort of blood stain, hair follicle or skin matter left behind as evidence. What if these garbage bags just contained wet laundry and he went to his Mom's house to use the dryer ?

4. Police said they found a letter at Marshall Jones sister's house in Vacaville, CA with written directions that "he wrote" on how to drive to Pioneer, CA and they believe that is where they think Jones dumped the body. Police also stated that Marshall turned his phone off before leaving his sister's house to head for Pioneer. How is it that Marshall left for Pioneer, CA WITHOUT the written directions on how to get there and had his phone off yet successfully arrived in Pioneer, CA to dump Alexis Gabe's remains ? Another key note, When police searched Pioneer CA they found nothing and it wasn't until a few months later that a man from Alaska who was searching for precious metals with a metal detector in Plymouth, CA found Gabe's remains. Plymouth CA is 23 miles (30 min drive) northwest of Pioneer CA showing that the written directions wasn't involved with dumping the remains of Alexis Gabe.

5. No murder weapon was ever found including the tool used to dismember Alexis Gabe's body.

6. No witness was ever provided in the case.
<modsnip>

I believe something more sinister took place and Marshall Jones was a scapegoat to a case that police had no answers to with a frustrated community demanding them.

"The District Attorney's Office has concluded there is insufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt the elements required to charge that Alicia Coleman-Clark acted as an accessory after the fact under Penal Code Section 32," a statement from the D.A.'s office read
