The folks that turned it in didn't find the phone till Monday..by the truck...they say. So, if their story is true, somebody else had the phone Sunday morning when it pinged and put it by the truck on Monday.

Yeah the timing definitely doesn't fit with the theory I posited. I guess I just can hardly believe the odds that the phone was taken right back to where the last ping supposedly occurred.

One of the first officers on the scene said that te parking lot was closed, and that people drive through the Orchard to get to the River all the time. Quite a few people get stuck.

Do you have a link handy with this info? I want to add it to the map and I kind of recall seeing it but I can't remember where. TIA!

off Pennington road Friday morning. Initially, they didn’t think much of it, but then they
made the connection.

Thanks. I was looking all over for that.

It's linked on the map if you click on the icon where the truck was found too, just for future convenience :)

I am a liberal who has no issue with responsible gun ownership. but we don't have stand your grown laws here, which is why I would think a ca gun owner would think before they shoot.

If you do a virtual drive on google down Pennington Road, you can see the gate on that end of the levee, there's space beside the gate, on the Pennington side, just like on the Comey side, that would be just as easy to drive around.
Watch the video of the security cam on Comey, the truck drove around the side of the closed gate to get onto the levee.

I respectfully disagree on the CA stereotype.
California, like Oregon, is not all the anti gun liberal haven of it's reputation, especially inland in farm country (like Oregon).
The tea party is strong out there.
Check out local's social media in Yuba City and Live Oak and you will find plenty of right wing conservatives and libertarians that are strong believers in the right to bear arms, the castle doctrine, and all the ideology that comes with it.
I see more right wing people than anti gun liberals in that area, more like Alabama folks than the CA stereotype.
Did you know there are more white supremacist gangs in CA than any other state, including Texas?

Read some of these links, you'll think you're in Alabama.

YUBA CITY (CBS13) – Local sheriffs and gun rights supporters joined forces Monday to voice their opposition to tougher gun control laws in California.

YC gun owners are strong believers and are very organized.

I think its possible that whoever found the phone was not honest about when they found it because they may be spooked about being linked to the case...

This all makes the most sense to me too...
then her phone pinging Sunday morning in YC...but reportedly not found until Monday,
bugs me.

snipped

Great timeline, thank you. This is the only thing I saw that needs to be changed. The truck was caught on surveillance on March 30th around 10:55 PM.

I believe that's when LE "watched" the surveillance video, no? I'll go ahead and ADD the 10:55pm about the farm video. Thank you!

No the surveillance footage shoes that date and time. The truck was driven out there the night she went missing. Of course thank you for the great timeline.

Yes, please do! It might have changes - if anyone speaks up and mentions any mistakes I have though.

Actually I do have the 10:55pm on the Timeline when the Farm video caught the truck.

QQ on timeline-did dad and son call 911 on Friday? Or Monday before truck found? Timeline is great--thank you!

Answering my own post - I'll take that out, as I have the same thing in the above paragraph. :)

I haven't seen anywhere that father and son called 911 - I know her father reported her missing on Saturday April 1st at about 11am. If you find an article about that - let me know and I will add it.

And your welcome!

I keep wondering if they found it, and planned to keep it. Then they heard about the missing woman and decided they'd better call it in. ?

  • #718
Thanks--I think your later timeline cleared that up--I just missed it. :)

Did MSM ever confirm whether Alycia was romantically involved with this 38yo?

My daughter. She is full time college and clinicals and has 2 jobs. Her phone is always going dead.

Why doesn't she buy a $10 car charger?
It seems irresponsible to me, in this day and age, managing school and jobs without keeping ones lines of communication available and open.
I have four grown kids, I don't know how they would manage their busy lives without consistent cell coverage. That is bound to cause problems at school and work, sooner or later.
Someone should buy her cheap charger before it's a problem. IMO
