An American Idol executive and her husband have been found murdered inside their $5 million Los Angeles mansion.

Robin Kaye, an award-winning music supervisor for the hit show, and Thomas Deluca, both 70, were discovered brutally shot to death at their home in Encino on Monday around 2.33pm.

Suspect arrested in double homicide.

Suspected burglar , Raymond Boodarian, 22 who has resided in Encino.

Shots had been heard around midnight and reported to police but it's unclear if any action was taken.

Hope the perp gets the proverbial book thrown at them.
Glad to hear there's been an arrest.

Rest in peace, Robin and Thomas !

Awful crime. Kudos to LE for their quick actions in apprehending this murderer.

Oh no.

The call about the gunshots was a radio call on July 10 about 4:00 pm. What would a radio call be? Not a regular cell phone call such as from a neighbor?

So is appears they were found 5 days after the murders. I wonder how they found the perp. Sounds like security video and possibly someone who had worked on the house or property?

From the LA Times:
“It was discovered that a prior radio call had been generated for a possible burglary suspect at the residence on July 10, 2025, around 4:00 p.m.,” the LAPD said in a statement.

The suspect is believed to have entered the home — which is heavily secured, with a large wall and security cameras — through an unlocked door, police said. After the couple returned home, “a confrontation ensued, which resulted in the suspect taking their lives,” police said.

The couple, whose bodies were found in separate rooms, according to sources, were shot multiple times. Police said the suspect then fled on foot.

Homicide investigators identified the suspect as Raymond Boodarian, 22, who resided in Encino.

Speaking to KTLA on Tuesday, multiple neighbors said there was an attempted break-in at the same residence. One woman told KTLA 5’s Carlos Herrera that a renter on her property called police on Thursday night to report someone climbing the property’s fence.

“My renter saw someone hopping the fence back on Thursday and she called 911,” the woman, Amee Faggen, said. “But we [haven’t] heard anything since then, so we have no idea if it’s even related or not.”

Public records show RB as living in Tarzana & Reseda.

He has a criminal case, looks like it was dismissed, after a few competency and conservatorship hearings. Someone else needs to take a look at the filings.

In a house that was secure... how was there an unlocked door ?
Was there a cleaner/maid in on it ?
So many questions.

Possibly, or maybe with the high wall around the house and so many cameras, it gave them a false sense of security.

This is unbelievably awful. RIP to both victims.

Encino and other areas near it have been experiencing many break-ins and home invasion robberies recently. This, however, sounds like something different. It seem like this couple was specifically targeted. I wonder if they knew each other in some way?

The afternoon seems like an odd time to burgle someone’s house. The perp would have to know they were not at home and that one door was unlocked.

I wonder if someone watched for a cleaning person who came and went through an unlocked door.

Seems too coincidental doesn’t it? I think there’s a link somewhere.

This guy has a record of two assaults and evidently documented mental health issues. I doubt he was actively working for any business, at least he shouldn’t have been.

Waiting for those details to be revealed.

The suspect is believed to have entered the home — which is heavily secured, with a large wall and security cameras — through an unlocked door, police said. After the couple returned home, “a confrontation ensued, which resulted in the suspect taking their lives,” police said.
The level of security seems high given that their immediate neighborhood and larger area would likely be viewed as safe.

Likewise, the suspect's past criminal history does not include theft based offenses that could coincide with a burglary motive.

I wonder if the victims were receiving threats or getting stalked when the American Idol dreams and expectations of various contestants and declined contestants were not fulfilled?

You and me both!!
I believe this was related to the time he broke his mother's ribs, so sounds like she choose not to press charges?
